Let me preface what Im about to say with this: I had a honda Del Sol repaired and painted at Maaco in Portland about 4 years ago and was very happy. Im not sure what happened in between now and then. I brought my 9 year old Sentra in to have holes in the rocker panel fixed. I figured it would be a few hundred dollars, told them that it was not a showcar, and I only needed 2 more stickers (my first mistake) I was surprised to see a quote for $1100. When I thought about it I realized that there is a lot hidden that probably needs fixing and decided to go for it. After all, the Del Sol had turned out so nice. This was mid-winter 2013. By May, the right side already looked pretty bad and I called to see if they could make it right. I was informed that the warranty was only 90 days, but that they would give me some consideration when they quoted the repair. A month went by and I never got a return call. I went down to the shop and they took pictures of the new holes (areas that were not repaired the first time, but affected the whole rocker panel now) and said I would receive a call within a few days with a quote. Time went by, I had to leave the state for a month, but still no phone call. When I returned I called again. This time I was told that I will not let you down; will call you with a quote tomorrow. Several weeks went by with no call. I finally went down in person and this time got an estimate. The estimate was for $600, replacing both rocker panels in total, getting the parts at cost. Odd that it was $1100 to do a couple of 10 inch patches, but $600 to totally replace the rocker panels. Now, here I am about a year and a half after the initial repair (that was supposed to last 2 stickers) with a can of bondo in my hand lying in my driveway trying to repair something that I paid $1100 for. Very sad indeed. If you have any sense, youll steer clear of Maaco in Portland, Maine. Let the buyer beware.

I will give them 0 if i can. Had to reschedule appointment due to no fault of mine circumstances, but left the key to my car with the Maaco office in Portland,ME.I did call and apologize for the inconvenience as I had not choice but to cancel as my other car broke down on the way back from their shop. When I brought my original car back I called and left a message just to let them know that I am dropping the car off and will be picking it up the next day as originally was promised. He then claimed did not remember that I had made an appointment and could not find my phone number. I had given him my phone number 3 times: once when we had the estimate, once when I dropped my keys which he said he will tag, and once in the voice message I left when I dropped off my car. He said that he was wandering why there is a car on the parking lot but he did not know what to do with it. Maybe write those things down??? Or what about the lonely key that was supposedly tagged 2 weeks prior??? Mind you I called and left a message that I am living my car to be fixed as we have agreed previously. Regardless a simple listening to your voice messages will probably be sufficient. When I called to pick up my car the next day as I was thinking it will be ready, I was "pleasantly" surprise: he never started working on it. So I decided to just pick it up and reschedule once again maybe, as there was no way they could have done it until the week after. When I went to picked up the car, I was met by a very RUDE and UNCALLED FOR comment" I do not feel guilty because you canceled your appointment. You should go to another place and be charge more money" by Ashley Pike. Well guess what, I will and I am sure many other people will do the same think with that attitude. This is no way of doing business with customers, especially when it is your fault Mr.Pike....!!!

I have a 1999 Honda Odyssey that needed both rust removal and a paint job. One place I went told me not to bother but I want it to last a couple more years, if possible and was embarrassed by its condition. I went to Maaco and received an estimate for the repairs and their moderate paint job, designed to last about 2 years. The price was right so I had the work done. It looks great! The rust around the wheel wells and on the back hatch is gone; you cannot see any seams and the paint job is excellent! Tom Doyle was clear and honest and very easy to work with. I would definitely recommend Maaco for both paint and rust repair work!

Very rude! They fed me a multitude of lies! When I started getting math involved in their so called quotes, they realized I was catching them at their scheme and told me to go to another body shop. Less than a year ago, they charged me $449 to paint my entire car and fix two small rust spots. Today they wanted to charge me $579 to paint my trunk lid and bumper cover the same color that they put on the car before. Mind you there is no rust to fix either! Just a coat of their base enamel paint. Does the math add up to you?

Did not repair my rockers. They just put the new ones over the rotten. Did not sand paint before painting. Could peel it off with with a fingure nail. Now the rockers have opened up under the car and rust (that was supposed to be repaired) has spread like gangrene only 6 months later. Sorry Maaco but I can not recommend you to anyone. Being a small business owner I dont have the convenience of disposable income. I rate negative stars.

I have had several cars repaired at this MACCO and my experience was really good. Ashley always tried to get the job done economically and I have no complaints with their workmanship.

The guys at Maaco did some body work and painted the rockers and prepped and painted my rims. Looks awesome! Thanks.
