I hate that in order to review GMC on Alden Road I have to give the place at least one star because they deserve none at all. I went in today with my friend who wanted to look at leasing and purchasing options for an Acadia. We were greeted promptly by a salesman named John who quickly offended us by asking why we would even come car shopping without a husband. I didnt know that in this day and age that a man was needed for this. He would not allow us to go in and look at the online inventory and basically dodged every question I had about getting more information on a car or price by saying we didnt have her trade in at the lot so it was pointless. I have been car shopping a lot and I never had to have the trade in with me to get a price on a vehicle I was interested in. We then inquired about test driving a vehicle and he looked at her and said "lets be serious can you even afford a payment on a $30,000 car?" I immediately got defensive and he said he wanted to part ways. He had no idea what the price range she wanted to be in was, had no idea what she or her husband did for a living, had no idea about their financial situation and made an assumption she couldnt afford the car. So I would love to know what is he basing his judgement on!?! We drove into the lot with a $40,000 car so it wasnt that. Point is we could have drove into the lot with a $400 car and we should be treated as if we could afford a $400,000 car because a customer is a customer and you truly cant judge what anyone can afford on the clothes they wear or the car they drive. The manager came over and tried to diffuse the situation but took the side of his employee by saying in 20 some odd years he had never offended anyone which is funny because the reviews on Yelp and Google tell a much different story. He also didnt like it when I pointed out that he is selling cars and he has no right to be judging anyone on what they can afford or not. I have never ever been one to say anything about a persons career choice and the amount of money they make but if he is going to judge someone who he met for five minutes on a car lot without knowing what they do for a living he needs to look at what the national average is a year for car salesmans salary and realize he shouldnt be casting stones at people. He acted as if he was Donald Trump or Oprah selling cars on the side and we were wasting his time. Truth be told her husband is a very successful business owner and Honda of Dartmouth is now reaping the benefits of being buyer friendly. I plan on calling GMC coporate this week to let them know what kind of people they have representing their name. This business needs some sensitivity training and to rid themselves of the arrogant and asinine people they have dealing with the public. In response to the owners rebuttal: Damian spoke to me twice not multiple times. Damian did nothing but stick up for the arrogant and asinine comments made by his employee just as you seem to be doing. I read your responses to everyone who complains on review sites and you also appear arrogant and like your business does no wrong. You also had an employee seek me out on Facebook and send me message after message after I told her to stop contacting me. She told me that John was "old school" and basically said because he is from a different time it is ok for him to ask where our husbands were and if we could afford a car. Im sorry but if you live in a time of segregation does this give an "old school" person the right to be racist...the answer is absolutely not. So just because John is older and from a time when the men did the buying he has no right to be sexist now. Your other employee added fuel to the fire and lived up to my arrogant and asinine comment. Have a great day sir and I will make sure all threads and comments are passed along to GMC and the Better Business Bureau!!!

They are by far the absolute worse car dealership in the area. I was rear ended and brought my car to them to repaired because I had bought it to them. When I went to pick up my car it was by far the absolute worst paint job in the world; it had an orange peel texture, it was not blended into the quarter panels, there were pits in my bumper and there was dirt and dust under the clear coat and the paint did not match at all. After bringing this to Mikes attention (head of autobody) he told me he saw nothing wrong with the paint job. After being persistent and pointing every single thing wrong with the paint job out to him he agreed to repaint it. I go today to pick up my car after the repaint and what do you know they still dont know how to paint a car. There were scratches in brand new paint and there was still dirt and dust under the clear coat. For those of you who do not know cars, there should NEVER be anything under the clear coat; if there is that means the painter was lazy and dirty and didnt do a proper job. After noting this to Bill (head of customer service) he told me I was difficult and that there would always been stuff under the clear coat, even in new cars. I asked him to please show me a new car with dirt and dust under the clear coat and he refused because that doesnt exist people, there should NEVER be anything under a clear coat. He then offered to buff out the bumper, which i dont get why he offered that it will not remove whats under the clear coat. Moral of the story is Mike and Bill at Alden Mazda are two of the biggest assholes. They do not care about the customer; they blatantly fight with customers and tell them theyre wrong; they are uneducated and know nothing about auto body or cars and like every skeezy car dealer they try to make you look stupid and sweet talk you. Their website says they pride themselves on quality and customer service; biggest lie ever, all they cared about is cutting corners and getting paid. They produce the shittiest quality of service. DO NOT GO HERE!

I wont be back had an issue with my breaks on my new $40000 truck. Thought I would try the local dealer as I am new to the area. Scheduled an oil change and to have them look at my breaks due to warping of rotors. They have it all day call I pick up truck the breaks are not fixed but they had no problem fixing the expensive oil change. So I have to go back on another day then drive the service manager around and demonstrated the problem! He says he is sorry then they then put new rotors in the truck. Now three months later the new rotors are scored and warped! They give me a service order that even says this. Again I Dropped it off at 8am they called at 3pm and they did not fix it again..Same thing they did the last time. I dont have time or patience for stupidity. Now Im waiting for the factory rep to call. Sorry, Alden GMC you people are idiots.. New rotors within 3 months is not NORMAL Update Yesterday the day after I picked up my truck and posted this. I am on the way to work and truck shook so bad I had to pull over the brakes are smoking hot. The truck had to be towed to another local GMC dealership and I was informed by them all the brakes need to be replaced due to shody workmanship by AlDEN GMC. I had to call GMAC and they are now involved. I am now hitchhiking home from work. Yes 40000 dollars for this.. Also I did call the dealership to leave the owner a message he could not bother to call back but had time to respond to my review. INCOPETENT is what you are.
