Scott Desrosiers, Sales & Leasing Consultant at the Prime Volkswagen Route One 784 Portalnd Road Saco, ME 04072 location provided excellent service during my recent experience to acquire the 2014 Tiguan SE. Scott provided very personalized service by listening carefully to the specifics of what I was interested in for the new Tiguan. He carefully explained each of the features for the SE versus the R Model and took time to discuss any points that I brought up during this comparison. Since the SE Model vehicle that I was interested in (white gold exterior; beige or black interior; rear-view camera; GPS; Fender sound system with touch screen controls; panoramic sunroof; 18 in tires; Bluetooth; Sirius XM radio;all-wheel drive; AFS; heated side mirrors; dual climate control;leatherette seats; keyless access; airbags and other safety features; 2-yr carefree maintenance; plus other features ......). Scott searched for the location of the specific vehicle that I was interested in and provided me with an accurate delivery/availability date and time. In this way, I could make plans in my schedule to pick-up the vehicle and have sufficient time to get acquainted with all the features of the new Tiguan. Scott covered each of the features thoroughly with me and also assisted in the transfer of my existing Sirius XM subscription to the new vehicle as well as set-up of the car-net and helped in connecting my iPhone into the Bluetooth system. In addition, Scott ensured that the vehicle was prepped properly and explained the advantages of certain protection coatings, such Resistall. During my entire experience I found Scott to be very accommodating to the customer needs and provided very good and timely responses to my inquiries. Steve Wilson, Sales Manager, at this same location also provided excellent customer service to ensure all the paperwork and busness transactions were handled in an accurate and timely manner. Clear explanations were provided by Steve on the different parts of the transaction. Overall, I appreciated my interaction with Prime Volkswagon and would highly recommend this center to my friends and work associates.

Wonderful car buying experience. I went in looking for a 2017 VW GTI, and left with one. I only had one issue (see below). Suzanne Keene is a wonderful sales woman and worked extremely hard to answer every question I had. If she didnt have the answer (which rarely happened) she found it, plain and simple. Exactly what I needed! Zac Bean was who I signed paperwork with, and had a wonderful experience with him as well! He was able to explain why the amount on my final slip didnt match the sticker price plus taxes and such. The answer was quite simple, it has to do with destination charge, and the extras that come with the GTI from the port (honeycomb floor mats, etc) that you cant remove. The person who made this a four star review was the finance manager John Wittig. He couldnt have been more uncomfortable with a question I asked regarding price. I had a quote from Rowe VW for two different GTIs, and wanted to see how competitive they were in pricing. I wanted him to compare their VW GTI SE in either manual or automatic with the ones that Rowe priced out. He was frantic and kept gaslighting me as if I had asked a crazy question. If I had their pricing and Rowes I could make a baseline judgement about who would give a better deal. I thought that was a simple enough way to compare their pricing across the board. On top of that, John spoke to my salesperson, Suzanne, in a very demanding, demeaning, and curt manner which is not acceptable for a finance manager. You are all team members. Work together to make sure a stressful and confusing process is made fun and easy, dont make it worse by making customers feel uncomfortable. Zac answered my questions calmly and concisely, without freaking out. Thats what I needed, not John. Who knows, maybe it was because it was late in the day, and John was tired, but i took serious offense to him treating his fellow employee in such a flippant and disrespectful manner. Again, thank you Zac and Suzanne for your help and service. I would recommend your dealership if a friend was looking for a new VW!

We really hate car buying. The process could be a lot more streamlined. USAA makes that possible. We were able to get pre-approved and look at cars online before we stepped in the dealership. We found one we liked and scheduled a test drive with Prime VW. Savannah, our salesperson, was very personable and ready to roll once we walked in. We took a quick test drive and were ready to finalize the purchase. No fault to Savannah, but she did offer to see if we could get a better rate on a car loan. Our curiosity got the better of us and we agreed to have the finance department do their thing. That took longer than expected. After about an hour, John, the finance manager came over to let us know that he was able to get us a better interest rate. It was lower, but not by much and we told him that wed like to stick with our bank. Thats when he lost his mind and responded with "Well, why did you have me run the numbers?!" Ummm, what the heck was that?!? And who pissed in his Wheaties? Im not sure what we did, but his attitude was not warranted. He didnt make it better or try to apologize and was quite frankly, patronizing. We didnt expect special favors, we already came in comfortable with the price of the car and the terms of the loan we were getting from our bank. Ultimately, we are responsible for repaying the loan. After calculating the difference in real $$ of what the interest rate was presented by John, it only equaled $5. Nothing spectacular. His attitude hastened our departure from the dealership. We were there 1.5 hours. But Savannah was great. As was the General Manager, Richard, who called us to discuss our experience and he then informed us that he would hold the car for us, if we decided to come back. We ended up going back a few hours later after getting everything squared away with the Finance Department (Zac) and within 15 minutes of entering, we drove out with our new car. I would return to Prime VW, but I refuse to deal with John again.

THIS WAS THE BEST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD, EVER!! I have been buying and trading in my cars for years and this definitely was not a typical experience. Whenever I started to think about a new vehicle I would get knots in my stomach and think about all of the awful things that car dealers do. This was not the case at Prime Volkswagen. I walked in thinking everything was going to be the same but my sales person, Scott Desrosiers, was absolutely excellent to work with. He took me through the steps and really put everything out in the open. This made it easy for me to trust him and I really felt like there was no pressure at all. He really listened to what I wanted in my next vehicle and instead of trying to push me over my budget he gave me several different options that would work for me. Needless to say, I am now driving a certified 2008 VW Jetta that has a larger bumper-to-bumper warranty than a new Jetta and it saved me a ton!! On top of all that, Steven Wilson, the business manager was able to get me an excellent rate that even beat my credit unions. It seemed like they really cared about making my experience a great one and Richard Dempsey, the Sales Manager even came out to meet me before we went for a test drive. He didnt hide in the background like most managers and was there through the negotiating process. If there is one dealer I can promise I will continue to do business with it is Prime Volkswagen!! They are awesome and I would recommend all of my friends and family if they dont want the typical sleezy experience other dealers give you. THANK YOU SO MUCH PRIME VW!!!! :)
