First of all, Don, the Service "Manager" is rude. The "check engine" light and the "brake" came on. I take it in, they tell me its the exhaust. $400 later I take it home. Low and behold the "check engine" light and "brake" is back on...as I pull out of the garage. I call them. Don tells me, "We fixed the exhaust, we didnt fix the lights." He goes out to say, "if you want us to check on the light just bring er back." Dumbfounded, I say, "What? thats why I brought it to you in the first place. Im confused." He doesnt see why Im confused. This goes on for a few minutes. Don cant understand why someone wouldnt be happy that the car is still telling him to take it to the mechanic...as he left the mechanic. The next day I take it back. $155.00 later Don tells me that the light was on because of a sensor, maybe, but he doesnt know. He turned it off though, and that costs $155.00. I try to speak to the owner...he wont talk to me. Another manager is willing to talk to me, he tells me, "I dont know anything about servicing these things, you gotta talk to Don." I explain that Ive already talked to Don and that it went on for a few minutes, and that got us here. He doesnt care. Now Im out $550.00, have a car with a check engine light on, and am trying to save up to take it to the dealership. I give up. The moral of the story is that you cant trust them. Maybe they can do some simple work that needs to be done, but overall theyre a little medieval when it comes to customer service. Ill be looking for someone new if my cars act up from now on. Thanks Don.

Zero business ethics. Years back as an 18 year old i took my 86 Mazda B2000 truck to get the frame checked. They told me it was no charge for the estimate only to find out they told me its not worth fixing. It stayed over night because i was unable to pick it up until the following day. They charged me $75 storage fee which i had no idea about. Then they pointed to a sign akin to a championship banner in any major sports stadium it was so high up it was unnoticable. I pleaded with them that i have no money so they suggested i just sign the truck over to them as payment since its not worth anything. Feeling desperate i agreed. One week later its in front of their business for sale for $900, new inspection sticker and i saw it on the road several times. I admit now that i was an uninformed teenager and made some poor decisions, but i dont think it gave them the right to take advantage of the situation on top of being rude, intimidating and threatening with absolutely no care to try to help an obviously broke 18 year old Kid trying to make it in the world. How are you still in business?

Be very careful of this company!!! Take pictures of all your belongings and also your mileage and fuel level. We had a simple plow swap. We were billed over $1600.00 for parts and labor. Most of our old parts were re-used, yet we were charged for new ones. The old ones that were not used are MIA. When we picked the truck up we discovered 62 additional miles on the vehicle(we always document our mileage for this reason)The fuel level went from a little over 3/4 full to a little under 3/4 full. They denied using the truck and said we must have made an error. Apparently the 3 of us that were present in documenting the mileage were out of our minds. I chose this company because they were Meyers dealers, not for the sake of price. They were $300.00 more than anyone around. Id never go back.

Rude and arrogant! We purchased our plow truck used and were having what appeared to be problems with the harness wiring. We called an inquired about having it checked out. We were told it would cost $1200.00! Not to repair anything, just to diagnose it. We were told that if we had purchased the plow from them we wouldnt be having a problem. Since we didnt, that was the price take it or leave it. We did not speak poorly to them in any way and were taken aback by the response. I just cant understand why someone would feel the need to treat another person, let alone a potential customer, that way. Will never do business with a company that treats people like that.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. was quoted over the phone $500 to replace leaf spring bushings on my truck, front and rear. Told the guy when asking for a quote it was lifted. was charged $900 just for the rear !!! no phone call, this is the bill. I was shocked !! no phone call to adjust quote ! I brought this up , I was told "no one would quote you that ". then they lie to the Better business bureau. Bottom line dont trust them at all. Phone quotes not honored. they will do hundreds in repairs without consent.

HORRIBLE! ARROGANT I had a wobble on my Jeep steering. Ive had that happen on past vehicles, and it is a very difficult problem to diagnose. I wanted them to take a look to see, He dismissed it and claimed he knew exactly what it was, and wanted 800 to fix it. What a Joke, I left and went somewhere that didnt assume they know whats going on without even looking. Turns out it only cost 376.98 from a shop with a little more humility.

First: Don doesnt exist there and never has. Second: I have never had a bad experience with Palmer Spring. Palmer Spring has been keeping my car alive and running since the day I purchased it. Now my car is about to reach 200,000 miles and its still running great. The guys at Palmer Spring will go out of their way to make sure you get the best service around. Not to mention by going there I am supporting a local business! 10/10.

Contrary to some of the reviews I read here, I found them to have great customer service. They were able to track down an obscure and discontinued part for my van which will get it back on the road. This is after both my local garage and dodge dealer both told me they could not help. these guys were able to pull through where everyone else could not.

FIRST OF ALL! there is no one working at palmer spring named Don. so if you are going to bad mouth people and this company you should get there names right. I have been dealing with them for over 10 years and they are very professionial and knowlegeable. They are not the cheapest around but they are the best!!!! i highly suggest them.

My dealings with Palmer Spring have extended over many years. They have provided excellent service at a fair price. I have referred many friends over the years who continue to do business there. They are honest and fair, never trying to sell any more than is necessary. We in the Portland area are fortunate to have them. Carl C.
