My husband and I have been bringing our vehicles to Precision Auto for nearly 10 years now. We have always had excellent service from Jim and his staff. He has always charged us fairly, does his best to find the best price for parts new or used, and most importantly we TRUST him when he tells us what work needs to be done! I recommend Precision Auto to all our friends and anyone inquiring about a reputable service station! Nikki, Firstly, you failed to mention what was wrong with your car (I am guessing it was probably more than one thing or quite major). Secondly, if you are not sure it has been looked at then I wonder if you really cared about your car (or had the money to pay for the repairs). Lastly, I have never experienced in a decade their not answering the phone! I recommend you refrain from giving bad reviews if you have never even had any work done at that establishment in the first place!

to the commenter who claimed a vehicle was left in our yard for over a month and no one ever answered the phone. I suspect you have the wrong garage. We have been in business for 14 yrs with never a vehicle left here for that amount of time unless by mutual decision between us and its owner. And sadly, I am ALWAYS here to answer phones, wish it werent so cause the beach is lovely this time of year. But no, here I am. Feel free to call and we can discuss your situation. There was a garage called Performance Auto for years which many people confuse us with. Jim is incredibly honest and fair, and we kinda like our customers, so we tend not to ignore their calls. Hope we can help you figure it out, because in 14 yrs in business, we have never advertised, havent had to, word of mouth is everything. Good and bad. Ide love the chance to clarify with you what happened, IF it was truly our garage.

I had a 1970 Bronco towed into Precision on the recommendation of my neighbor who retired after decades as a local auto mechanic. My vehicle had an electrical problem that I spent a lot of time trying to diagnose because I wanted to avoid the tow charge. Bottomline, Precision had the vehicle back to me in a week, running fine, plus winterized for the coming season. Most importantly, the owner checked in with me at every decision point to let me make the call. I strongly recommend Precision to anyone needing auto/truck repair in the greater Bangor area.

The absolute worst decision I could have made was bringing my car HERE to get fixed. It has been parked there for well over a month, Im not sure if it has even been looked at to be honest. They dont call me or answer the phone half the time I call and Im starting to think I might not ever have my car again.

What a friendly and personable business! I immediately felt welcomed the minute they answered the phone! They got my car right in the next day and offered me a price that blew VIPs estimate out of the water! Thank you Precision auto!

This is the place that people who ask "hey, do you know a good mechanic" are asking about. These people are honest and good at what they do.
