I bought a one year membership for my son as a Xmas present, it was fine, my son loved it. Now had I known that he has to cancel the membership by going there personally, I would have never used my credit card. My son joined the army and after the year, the membership renew itself. I (my credit card) could not cancel the membership. My second son wanted to join, so I told him, since his older brother is in Iraq, and I am loosing money on the membership, why not he go in his place, after all, I just wanted a one year membership. My second son went in place of the time that I didnt want. At first, it was alright, but then planet fitness harass my second son. We explain the situation, but they did not care. I have lost money with this place and they did not want to work with me. Unfortunately for Planet Fitness, my second son wanted to joined with 10 of his friends, to work out after work, around two in the morning. I recommended The Arena Club.

I like this gym for many reasons. It is very clean, no matter the time you go. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I tend to go late with a friend and the gentlemen that works the later shift(I dont know his name, bald gentleman) is extremely helpful and friendly. The parking lot is not well lit, but my friend and I feel very comfortable leaving as we have noticed that he watches you to the car. Thats going the extra mile and not required but very much appreciated. The only thing I would suggest would be that when people sign up, to make sure they are told to wipe down the machines after use. I see way too many people sweating all over them and then just walking away. Maybe a friendly reminder sign at the counter when you walk in? It really is a great gym for the price.

Im young and wish to get in better shape for football season. Because Im only 14, I didnt know how it would be to work-out in a gym full of adults. I assumed it would be a bunch of super big guys, lifting a lot of weight, shouting and walking around swoll. I was happy to find that it was none of that at Planet Fitness. I get a good workout in, and everyone is always willing to help. Their trainer Kyle is great, he pushes me to go harder than I believed I could. And when hes not around, the manager Keith does the same and offer insight on doing exercises that I was unaware of. I really love working out at Abingdon.

I go to this particular location due to the professional and knowledgeable staff. I also am being trained ( which I love my black card offers and advantages ), by the most undestanding hard driven compatible trainer Ive ever had and Ive had three. It was awesome finding him here , thank you Kyle ! And then theres this.....THE PRICE IS RIGHT and Im looking peer-ety nice after having five beautiful children who are all grown up. Yes, Im a happy GYM RAT at the Planet Fitness here in Abingdon. kudos to you Keith (manager) for a well maintained gym all around !!

I come to Planet Fitness several times a week and Megan, the manager, has been so welcoming and caring every time. She is willing to go above and beyond for any person that walks through the door. Mary Gen is another employee who is usually working the front desk when I come in to work out. She is always so sweet with a smile on her face no matter what kind of day she is having. I absolutely love the staff members of Planet Fitness; they make you feel at home even though you wish you could be rather than working out lol.

I visited this club years ago with my friend. The staff were very friendly back then and they are very friendly now! This facility is very well kept and much cleaner than other clubs that Ive been to. The staff is always out on the floor cleaning. This club is even better than the last time I came here. The managers here are very friendly and involved in assisting members and even getting out there cleaning the facility along with the rest of the their employees. I will be recommending this club to everyone I know!

Always greeted by a smiling face whether I am there at 5 in the morning or 9 at night. The work out facility is clean and bathrooms are clean. Never have to wait for equipment in the morning and the evening only an occasional short wait. Drawbacks are the roof leaks during heavy rain storms and often out of hand sanitizer at the front door. Wish they had an inverted free weight squat machine - much better for the back then standing squats.

This is the best Planet Fitness Ive ever been to! it is always clean and theres always someone available to assist you if needed. i can specifically recall meeting a very upbeat and enthusiastic employee named Mary Gen at this location. She was very helpful and had the most positive attitude I have encountered. I would definitely recommend this PF to anyone.

the staff at this location are excellent and very friendly, each one i know personally, they show drive and dedication in there work as well as there own personal fitness goals. the personal training sessions are challenging and very well run, and different every time, excellent for maximum improvement in your fitness goals.

Fun and inviting atmosphere. The staff at this location is top notch. Carissa and the other front desk reps are always smiling and courteous. They are knowledgable and ready to assist and explain the workout machines and how to use them properly. I will be bringing my friends and family here.

Planet fitness in Abington is by far the cleanest gym in the county. The gym and the bathroom are always kept clean. The staff is extremely friendly, Emil and Mary Gen specifically. If you want to feel encouraged to work out in a clean and safe environment, this would be the gym to go to

I currently belong to another fitness club in the area but i enjoy coming to Planet Fitness just as much because they have better hours, and they do share a lot of the same equipment. I like to come in the evening after 9 or 10 pm when it is not busy.

How can you go wrong for $10/month. In my younger days I paid in excess or $100/month (including court times for racquetball) at Merritt Athletic in Towson (before they had pools). PF has all the equipment they had and more of most machines.

Staff is always pleasant and helpful. Gym, locker room and all amenities are always kept clean. They just got all new equipment and almost never a wait, you can usually walk right up to whatever machine you want. Would totally recommend.
