I have lived in Baltimore for 2 years now. I am originally from Houston, TX. It has been a difficult transition in terms of finding quality help, especially when it comes to car maintenance. I dont believe in luck or coincidence but I was blessed and fortunate to find RJ and his shop in my initial search for a mechanic. I am always worried about mechanics ripping me off, especially since Im a woman and dont know much of anything about cars. The first time I went to Auto Stop Limited, Inc., I got an oil change. I immediately noticed that this is a "no frills" place, which is my kind of shop. Doug greeted me when I walked in. I waited no more than a few moments (literally seconds). He was efficient and extremely kind. After he finished my oil change, he let me know my engine mounts werent in good shape and that I would probably need to have them fixed, soon. Fast forward 4-5 months... I recently came back to the shop to have them fixed. I came in on Friday and met RJ, the owner. Again, I was greeted immediately. He is extremely friendly and a very nice man. I appreciate his attentiveness and gentle nature. He looked over my car and ordered my engine mounts for me and told me to come back the following Monday. He broke down the cost for me and let me know exactly what I was paying for. He showed me everything on paper. Monday: Showed up at 8:30 am (30 mins after opening)I sat and waited for my car to be worked on. I was really surprised and extremely pleased at how efficiently they worked while being SO busy. Several customers came in as I sat and waited and RJ was nice and helpful to everyone. The pricing is extremely fair. I wasnt hit with any unexpected fees/costs once the work was completed. I paid exactly what I was told I would pay, from the beginning. Many places dont do that. That is integrity. I live all the way in Glen Burnie and I make and will continue to make the drive every single time. RJ has such a great demeanor about him. He is very calm, reassuring and genuinely cares about his customers. As for my car; it feels AMAZING. Having jacked up engine mounts is no good. My car sounded like a lawn mower every time I would try to accelerate. Now, shes running as smooth as butter. I dont hear a sound. I am so excited. Auto Stop Limited, Inc., has a customer for life. **Just always remember to practice patience and be kind. These guys work long, hard hours and they do an EXCELLENT job to make each and every person happy, as best they can. Let them do their job and TRUST what they tell you. They wont steer you wrong.

My experience with Auto Stop was awesome. My car had been overheating for sometime and the air conditioning was not working which was brutal. I had taken it to another dealership (not Auto Stop) twice and each time I took it to the other dealership they couldnt figure out what was wrong and they kept telling me to come back so that they could spend more time looking at it. I lost time from work, until eventually I called Auto Stop and they said I could bring my car in the next day. I took my car to Auto Stop and they were extremely busy but was able to accommodate me and give me an accurate timeline as to when they expected my car to be looked at. Upon arrival RJ was there to greet me and have me fill out a form with my information for my car and what I needed them to look at. Right away RJ recognized my name from the form and asked me about my engine I had replaced there 2 years ago (which was also a great experience). Due to the amount of things I needed looked at with my car and repair time, I needed to get a rental car and RJ helped advise me on which place to go to. Throughout the process Doug kept me informed of what was going on with my car. The diagnostic for my car wasnt easy and I called sometimes twice a day to check on my car (worry wart lol) and each time Doug was patient with me in explaining what they were doing with my car and what the next steps were. He never gave up and never said they couldnt figure out what was wrong. He let me know that he was dedicated to figuring out the problem and he did. I got my car back and now my air is working as good as new and my car doesnt over heat. I never write reviews but I felt like they were well deserving. Also needed to add that as a single woman coming into an auto shop is always scary, but I can say that this dealership does not jack up prices just because I may not know much about cars. Their prices are very reasonable for what they do. In 2013 when I had my engine replaced, I was charged about $2000 less (for labor and engine) than what other places were going to charge for just the engine alone. Basically, if you have an issue dealing with your car, I would definitely recommend Auto Stop. Signed-Happy Customer!

Update: The owner (RJ) called me personally before 3hrs after my review to apologize for this service and for the tech I talked to on the phone about alignment. He didnt try to make any excuses, he just wanted to make things right. He must have a reputation to keep because the person who recommended them, told me that it was one of the best works hes had done. Seems like a reasonable guy to me. Obviously this guy cares about his business otherwise he wouldnt care to contact me when Ive already left the state. He didnt have to call me to say anything, but he did. For that I appreciate. Ive always tried to patronize small business for this reason. They care. Original Review:: Went to service a 2006 Honda Civic on Friday 29th July 2016. Was traveling to the North East and needed the car to be in optimum condition. Fairly new tires. All I wanted was a complete fluids check, tire inflation (one of the tires was a little low) and rotation, brake rotor and pad changed, Oil change. These are just basics. They did all these and every thing looked good. Me and my wife didnt really stop for long stretches of time on our trip, about 30-45mins and we were on our way. When I got to MA, the front left tire was flat after sitting overnight. So, essentially, if we had decided to stay in a hotel and continue our journey the next day, we wouldve had a flat tire.Youre telling me you inflated a tire without checking why it was low in the first place???? Not to mention, I called 1hr after I dropped the car off (they hadnt touched the car yet) to add on wheel alignment, they out-rightly refused to add on the alignment. Saying it was too late. I dont even know what that means, but ok, since it was my fault not stating it at first. Wheel alignment does not take more than 30mins if you know what youre doing and theres nothing wrong. The car wasnt pulling, i just wanted it done because it hasnt been done for a while.

Today was my first experience with Auto Stop. It will most certainly not be my last. My last mechanic (Doug at Auto stop is now my mechanic going forward) is 4 mins away from Auto Stop. I have seen the steady flow of customers for years as a resident of the area. When an issue with my car could not be resolved by my mechanic at the time I sought out a new one and used google to help guide me to a deserving place. Thank you to all the reviewers that left a review for Auto Stop, you guys were right on with the customer service that they provide. It honestly deserves more than 5 stars. Seriously. Who else would tell you to not get the repairs because they are too costly and other issues could arise. Doug gave me a call a few hours after I dropped of my car to let me know the result of the list of 6 issues i had with my car. He went over each one, what he saw, what could be the cause, what it would take to repair it, and so much more! Doug and Mr. John ( the owner) care about their customers and their hard earned reputation. They know that most of us have no idea what is going on with our cars and break it down so that we understand it and know the best option for us going forward. If you are looking for a reliable, friendly, knowledgeable auto repair shop LOOK NO FURTHER. Please dont forget to let Mr. John and Doug know how much you appreciate their services, they are so humble and grateful that you will feel good in doing so
