My 1985 Mercedes 300SD was doing fine down to about 20 degrees. I guess my battery was not replaced just before I bought it as I was told and when it dropped to 8* it died. I went to Pepboys and bought a replacement. No biggie. Took it home, put it in and it cranked (read: turned the motor over once) once and then it died. Car did not start. This battery, was able to jump. I drove it for a bit then let it sit over night. It didnt start the next day so I jumped it again and took it back, in the car. Pepboys grabbed the last battery off their shelf. I told them "hey, the first battery you sold me was dead...test that one before you put it in my car." Hour and a half later I go back and theyve got it in my car. "Well the first battery you bought read 11.6v and was 14 months old. This one reads 8.5v." So...the battery you put in is 3v less than the battery that was already dead/bad. Its also older. Why did you put it in my car? "Well the guys are trying to get it started but it wont even jump." Duh. And they literally tried over a dozen time. Then the Manager comes out and explains to me that its my alternator. I take a deep breath and try to have him explain how. He cant. I tell him that it was charging my battery just fine until 24 hours ago when my battery went bad and that theres literally no way my alternator could do anything to a battery that wouldnt even turn over my motor. A third, fresh battery was brought from another store for my me and that one is working flawlessly. I left Pepboys and drove home with my 3rd battery, that actually works. Now my ABS light is on, presumably because the ABS relay fuse is blown and my tachometer is stuck at 0 (while running on the 3rd battery)...presumably because the tachometer amplifier is fried. The manager says "the ABS sometimes needs reset after a new battery." Cant wait for him to try to find the computer in my 1985 Mercedes. Would you have EVER thought to put a battery that tested at 8.5v and was already 15 months old into a customers car? There remedy was for me to bring the car in for their guys to tell me if their guys caused my ABS light and tachometer failure. Can any of you tell me what they could possibly find to prove or disprove their fault? They ended up keeping my car for 3 days. They used their "hotline" to try to fix it. They couldnt. I got the car back. Asked what happened on a Mercedes forum and 3 posts later found out it was a 45 cent fuse they blew. That they couldnt find and fix. Thank the German engineering for saving the rest of my electronics. .

Be advised, NEVER go there for state safety inspections!!!! The speed of service was horrible. I was given a 2-3hr window and ended up waiting over 5hrs. I would not have mind except that I was never given any updates as to how much longer the inspection was going to take. I kept coming back to the front desk after 3hrs of waiting to see how much longer and NO ONE was able to gave me a straight answer. There is a camera in the shop and a TV on the front desk area where you can see when your car actually gets into the car stalls. After two hours of waiting, it finally went in. After another 2.5hrs, someone finally started looking at it. After another hour or so, the inspection was finished and parked outside. After failing a couple of things, a person (NOT THE GUY WHO INSPECTED MY CAR) came out trying to sell me a brake job and a rotor replacement EVEN THOUGH the inspection only noted pads. ALSO, he could not tell me exactly where in the exhaust the leak was coming from. I had to come back the next day to ask the actual inspector to show me where it was. I wish he had the TIME to come out and show me the first time around. I guess he was too busy. Re-inspection was the same nightmare plus you will get charge AGAIN for re-inspection. Got there at opening time and still it took at least 2.5hrs for them to check the couple of things that failed with only one car ahead of me, which only took 5mins to do. I understand the FIRST COME FIRST SERVE policy but COME ON. Five minutes to look under the car and I would have been elated for their accommodation. I dont normally write complaints but I am making an exception this time. PLEASE save yourself the trouble and go to a shop that has more than one certified inspector. I would NEVER take my car there for anything and would NOT recommend anyone. It appears like they dont have the desire to get anything done in a TIMELY manner.

Totally disappointed and never going back. I took my car there last month for new tires and asked if the front left blinker could also be fixed while I was there. They said sure, no problem. I got home and realized the blinker had not been fixed (I think they got mixed up and put a new bulb in the back left blinker which wasnt broken). I took the car back the following weekend and explained what had happened and they said "oh, the light shouldnt have burned out in a week." It didnt! It was never replaced in the first place! They charged me AGAIN for another bulb and labor but I just said whatever and paid. Three days later both my front right AND back right blinkers stopped working. I took the car back again the following weekend and they said it might be an electrical issue instead of bad bulbs and that it would cost $45 to get it checked. I got them to waive the fee but after dropping the car off at 9am and received a call at 3pm that it was ready, I got there and they said it was the bulbs after all BUT they hadnt even put them in yet! So they asked me to wait 15 minutes while they did that. I went outside, came back 15 minutes later and they asked me to wait about 20 minutes longer while they "put my car back together." I assumed that meant putting the lining of my trunk back in place after taking if off to get to the lights but NOPE that was never put back either. But the cherry on top was when the car finally WAS "put back together" the mechanic drove it around to the front and told me he left it running since "the battery was acting iffy." I drove the car home and when I went out that night OF COURSE THE CAR DOESNT START. DEAD BATTERY. Obviously I got someone else to fix this and I will NOT be going back!!

Took my car here for brakes and belt... These guys are awesome!!! EXTREMELY helpful!!!! I cant compliment how they all worked together!!! i knew the job would take some time, and the waiting room is awesome! I felt bad watching them through the glass in the A/C while they were busting their butt in the heat! I wish i could remember all their names so i could call em out (im terrible with names)... BUT... I had one problem when i left... and let me tell you how they handled it... Brakes done... Belt done... Paid shook their hands... got in my truck and the blower motor quit working!!! i knew they didnt and COULD NOT have done anything to it because they didnt work anywhere near the inside of the truck! well i thought ill pull it back to the garage and see if they could look at it and i could always replace the motor when i got home... Well let me tell you as i drove home with the A/C blowing full strong i was overwhelmingly appreciative because Kenny the GENERAL MANAGER that was working with his mechanics to do the Belt and Brakes came out and diagnosed the problem and installed a new one in minutes!!!! whatta Boss!!! and whatta crew he has working WITH him!!!! I ready the reviews from the past... and I have a feeling there is a new Team in there now and they are awesome!!!! Thanks again!!!
