They said they tried to deliver my package twice, which cannot be true since someone was waiting by my door each time they said they tried to deliver. I have now put in a request that they hold the package at a nearby Fedex location, but, after reading all the reviews below, Im expecting them to screw that up, too. Of course, Fedex customer service wont give you the Beltsville distribution centers phone number. And when you google "Beltsville Fedex distribution phone," the top result is a very illuminating blog entry describing one gentlemans attempt to get his package. He actually got their phone number and posted it on his blog, but, naturally, it has since been disconnected. I wonder why. Im sure it cant have anything to do with the Beltsville center being inundated with calls from outraged customers. No, that couldnt be it. Oh, and I forgot to mention that the blog entry is followed by -- guess what -- lots of corroborating comments from other outraged customers. Suffice it to say that this is the first and LAST time I will ever use FedEx in this area. What a joke.

Beltsville FedEx Ground --Package (27 pounds) was scheduled to be delievered on Saturday, and was loaded on truck at 8:15am. So I waited 13+ hours for it to arrive. At 9:28pm the tracking website reported "Delivery Exception - Local weather delay, delivery attempted". When I called FEDEX to tell them that the weather was partly sunny and the roads were dry and clear, they said that they knew that no delivery was attempted, but had no explanation as to why. So my package is at some, non FEDEX employee, contractors house, in a non FEDEX vehicle until Tuesday ( they are closed on Sun and Mon) . I live 12 miles from the FEDEX ground facility. I have no idea why the contractor did not deliver the package nor what he or she is doing with my package for 4 days and I didnt want to find out. So I called the shipped and told them to recall the shipment and cancel the order. I will never use FEDEX ground again.

I live in Washington, DC and the package was coming from Beltsville. I was to receive a package and was at home. However, the driver just left the door tag. I signed the tag, but he left another tag the next day. I called and was told the driver could refuse to leave a package if he wanted to. I was told they would reassign my 45 lb package to a station in the city for pick-up. Unfortunately, I lack a car. The package was suppose to arrive today, however the tracking information coming back said the recipient could not be located. I dont know where my package is and apparently neither do they. I was also suppose to recieve an envelope from them today. Guess what? They wouldnt deliver that either. And its being held in an entirely different location.

I work from home, and my office faces the street. These BASTARDS was never here! This FedEx location have done this to me so many times that Ive stopped shopping at sites that uses FedEx Home Delivery. After doing additional research, Ive found out that these are not regular FedEx employees, but independent contractors that take this job as side gigs. So if they are busy, they simply will not delivery your package. Total BS!

@FedEx The PISS POOR SERVICE continues. Call from 410-631-8797 (a Rep) said Alexandria VA facility Manager 22303 said pickup would be by 3:00 PM per my 10:45 AM complaint. After 3:00 PM, no pickup. @FedEx just lies and the Reps via Twitter/FB replies back, but ULTIMATELY, NO RESULTS. Folks want RESULTS, quick responses on asking to help is NOT PROVIDING a RESOLUTION. Just LIES, along with the PISS POOR SERVICE. Alexandria VA facility Manager, thanks for your BOLD FACE lie. Wheres your driver, its past 3:00 PM and NO PICK UP as you promised. Alexandria VA facility Manager 22303, you said by 3:00 PM ...not me, you said the driver would pick up the package by 3:00 PM. @FedEx = PISS POOR PERFORMANCE -AND- now LIES.

This facility only gets one star because they made me give a star the location Is far and closes too early the drivers area liars and not dependable at all they claimed to have made 3 delivery attempts but never made one no phone calls or notification stickers were ever posted in reference to my so called deliveies i will never order on line if fedex will be handling my package the package Is now missing someone must had read who the package was from and stole it fedex sucks they stole my childs birthday outfit and school uniform because the box said Ralph Lauren so sad what a innconvience i now hate this company and advise others to be aware of this shipment centr

Wow, I could copy and paste everyones reviews right into mine. I took time off work to sit at my door all day for a Fedex shipment that never came, though they claimed they attempted it. After complaining on the phone, they said they would schedule a delivery the next morning. They didnt. Now Ive been told I have to go to Beltsville to pick up my package. I do not have a car to drive an hour away to do this, nor should I have to, because this was no fault of mine. Fedex, you failed, and you will no longer get my business, nor will any business that uses you as their shipping service.

I was expecting a package from fedex on 2/8/11. I was in my living room waiting for them since 8am, @ 1:50 pm I tracked my pkg and it said delivery exception (customer not available) and this was put in @ 1:30pm. So i called fedex and i was told that the carrier said he came by and that there was no answer and that he left a tag on my door. So I get up and look @ my door and of course there was no tag, cuz the carrier never came by. Customer service told me that he wouldnt be able to come back out til tomorrow. This is not the first time this happened with fedex

This address is incorrect. The real address is 11900 Trolley Lane. The fedex delivery person only delivers my packages about 40% of the time, the other 60% of the time he wont even show up in my neighborhood but will say they attempted delivery. Ive even stayed home from work as I tracked my packages online, no one would even come anywhere near my house but suddenly the status would change to "delivery attempted" WTF! I grimmace everytime somebody ships me something via fedex. UPS please!

One of the unsavory secrets of Fedex: Fedex Ground is locally-owned franchises, a loose trucking network, with none of the precision or expertise of real Fedex. Best is to tell shippers not to use; since many default to it as cheapest, next best is to beg real Fedex customer service to ask these overwhelmed people to hold at the Ground depot, to deliver to a real Fedex location or to get real Fedex to come get it off these hopeless people and bring it to you.
