We went to purchase a 2016 Nissan Versa with 3k miles for my mother. Upon arrival, we noticed the car had four 6-8" gashes in the roof where the bare metal could be seen. Our salesperson, Greg Freed said they could be touched up and it wasnt a big deal. I said there is no way touch up paint can repair damage of that nature and that the cars roof would need to be repainted. He said no problem, we have a white Versa Note in stock which is about the same price. Do you want to take a look? I should have run away then, but given that we had taken a $60 Uber to pick up the car and lived 90 mins away we decided to at least consider it. Here is the kicker, once we sit down he comes back with a price of $17,500 for the car with 2k miles. For reference, the blue Versa we came to purchase was $11,950 on the road and I can buy a brand new untitled 2016 for $12,750. He then mentioned I hate playing these games but my manager wants me to present you with this. Included in the price quote were various dealer "bloat" fees, certification and MD inspection charges, nitrogen tire charge etc for a car with only 2k miles. This made me livid, not only were we lied to about the condition of the car we were going to purchase, not only were we not told the car was a former loaner car, we are now being quoted $5.6k more for effectively the same car in a color we dont want. I asked to see the GM Scott Steinberg, I inform him of my displeasure with the condition of the car and how we were being treated. He said "its a used car", damage like this is to be expected even if it only has 3k miles. He then said the price is the price take it or leave it. To which I said, what you are doing is "f___d up you lied to us." He then told me we had to leave if we werent buying a car, as we are leaving he tells me to go home and "fxxx my mother" in my mothers presence. What words can I use to illustrate how deplorable this is. Let me save you the hassle, avoid this dealership, know that the prices they quote do not include thousands of dollars in bogus fees. Know that they will try and bait and switch you, know that the GM is an indecent human being. Please stay far away from them if you care about your time, money and dignity. I have bought over 20 cars in the last decade and never have I had an experience of this nature. If Scott Steinberg has any decency at all he would issue a hand written apology to my mother and I and reimburse us the $120 in Uber fares we spent visiting this dealership. I have also notified Nissan NA of this interaction.

I had front body damage repair done by them covered by my insurance. They replaced the front bumper, headlight, radiator, AC condenser and some other parts. The first time they called me to pick up the car and told me the car was done. I inspected the car and found the paint job was very shoddy. The paint had dimples on it. I showed them the paint issue. They agree to fix it. That made me questioned the quality of their workmanship. The second time they called me and said the car was done. I inspected the paint job and body work. It looked fine to me at the time, I notice dried radiator fluid residue on the radiator and fan. I didnt think much of it being an issue at the time. I took the car home on July 24th. I didnt drive the car much because I was on vacation for two weeks and I also borrowed my parent’s car. The times that I did drive the car, I didnt use the AC because I like to use windows when Im by myself. On August 30th, my wife was in the car with me and she likes to use AC. I turned on the AC and notice it wasnt working. I opened the hood and discovered radiator was leaking. When I saw the leak, which made me questioned the quality of their workmanship even more. I took it back to Antwerpen Nissian. They said they will fix the radiator. They did a shoddy job with the radiator because I know the leak was there from the beginning ( on the day that I took it home) since they fixed because I saw the fluid residue on the radiator and the fan during the my inspection. If they had done the job right and check for leaks, I wouldn’t have discovered it myself. AC they said the compressor is bad and they will fix it out of their own pocket because they don’t think they are responsible for that damage. They called my insurance and my insurance will not pay for the AC compressor repair cost. The AC system was working fine until they replaced the AC condenser. I argued with them saying they did a shoddy job on the paint job and failed to notice radiator leak. There is good reason to believe they did a shoddy job on the AC condenser too. It so happens that the AC failed after they fixed it and I only drove it for few hundred miles? Because they did replace the AC condenser, they fiddled with the AC system which caused the AC compressor to break and also they did shoddy work. That is my argument.

I have never given my Nissan Dealership a poor rating until now. I took my 2007 Xterra in so that the "experts" can tell me what was wrong with my truck. They called me back and informed me that it could be either the transmission or the radiator. The transmission for over $5400 and the radiator for over $734. When I asked which one was it, they could not give me an answer. They of course suggested the more expensive job and maybe replace the radiator just to be sure. I was beyond disappointed that they could not give me a straight answer. The dealership is supposed to be the expert here. They also asked if I wanted to trade in my truck. I was not sure what to do at that point. When I called a garage that helped my family in the past with repairing vehicles about the issue they said they could look at it. I had the dealership put my truck back together so that I can take it to the garage. When I got to the dealership, the associate that helped me informed me the mechanic that worked on my truck can buy my truck instead of me trading it in. Again, I was very disappointed with the associate seemly wanting to set up a deal to buy my truck probably knowing it didnt need all that work that was suggested to me. I kept my truck in pristine condition. It seemed like a scam. The old stereotypes of how dealerships are too expensive and scam artists never bothered me until now. Throughout the years of dealing with this dealership has made me more and more suspicious of how untrustworthy they were. Unfortunately, trust is huge with me and considering this recent incident I can no longer take my truck back to them. Again, I have a 2007 Xterra that I have been taking to this dealership only for the past 10 years. You have now lost a lifetime customer. I don’t want anybody fired over this but, the overpriced, trying to scam me out of selling my truck is not appropriate at all. Just FYI, using dealership parts including labor and tax the other garage is charging me significantly lower than what the dealership offered (more than $5000 less). Also, they know exactly what is wrong with my truck instead of guessing the issue.
