AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. I cannot begin to explain how rude and unprofessional the owners are. Admittedly this was my second time going there. I figured the first time was a fluke bad experience so I decided to try again. First off I showed up at 10am and they still werent open, so I called the number on the door and was told "Oh well be there by 10:30". My appointment time was at 10:30 so I stayed and let that slide...BIG MISTAKE! I wanted a simple wash and set. I was promptly told that the lady with which I made the appointment wouldnt be in until 12 so "I needed to let someone else do it!" OK I had invested my time by now so Whatever. To top it all off there were 7 ladies all patiently waiting to get their hair done, the owner offers little to no explaination as to why the days approaching christmas he only has one hair stylist working! I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE AND I SUGGEST YOU DONEITHER. I had an appt at a nearby nail salon at 1pm, mind you I got there at 10am. I didnt leave until 2pm again with not so much as an apology for inconveniencing me from this Salons management. This is not the place to frequent if you are particular about who and how your hair is done; dont go here! You will not be able to build a relationship with one stylist as apparently every good stylist soon leaves due to the poor management. I dont think it was a coincidence that the ONE stlyist that was there was the owners wife and VERY inexperienced, the simplist task of washing my hair was not done incorrectly. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!

I visited this salon on 1/8/16. I didnt have to wait and was taken to shampoo right away. I actually had to tell the stylist to lighten up because she was scratching my scalp so hard... strike 1. Also, they charge $20 for a deep conditioner which I think is $10 overpriced but I havent been in a salon in a while. After conditioning, she started to detangle by using a wide tooth comb from the top down very aggressively. Stike 2! I have 4c hair and this means be careful and take your time. I had to tell her to stop. Of course, she mumbled something in spanish. After taking the time to detangle, still a little aggressive, she started to blow dry. No leave in conditioner or heat protectant... strike 3! She eventually added a little oil and some cream before blow drying but, it was too late; my hair was fried. It looked good when it was finished but I knew my hair was fried. When I got home, the burnt hair smell filled the room. When I wike up the next day, my bedroom was filled with a burnt hair odor. My hair is dried out and I hope the embarrassing odor will go away soon. Ladies, if your have to get a blow out, take control, take your own products if you need to. Ive spent so much time and money protecting my natural locks and this could be devastating to my hair. Looks like I need to stick with doing my own hair. You care the most about your hair; always make sure to protect it against heat damage.

So was referred by a friend. They greeted me upon arrival and began shampooing me right away. They washed conditioned it seemed rushed. No protestant, no oil, no grease no moisturizer. I was shocked. They did detangle and blow dried me but I believe she over processed my hair it seemed like she kept thw dryer on longer than necessary. She didnt curl it well. But it is straight. When i got done they had finished ne in 2 hrs. But she charged me $62! Wth for? I only went here cause my stylist is always leaving at 330-4pm per day. Dont think I will be going back. They were just way over priced!

I always go to Melanias when I need a quick blow out and dont want to sit in a salon all day. They are always friendly and get you shampooed and rolled right away. I have found that Diana is the best one to get blown out by because she gets your edges just as straight as the rest of your hair, which the other stylist cannot do. Otherwise, everything and everyone is great! They are a bit pricey compared to other dominican salons Ive been to, but I dont mind paying for fast, effective and efficient service. The salon is always very clean and organized as well.

Realmente me dañaron el cabello. Fui al salon, pedí un corte y me hicieron otro completamente diferente. Ahora mi cabello luce sin forma, como si lo hubiese cortado una niña a su muñeca de juguete. No lo recomiendo para nada. Y es demasiado costoso.

My hair was fine but I would NEVER go back. HORRIBLE customer service. I was pregnant with twins, visibly uncomfortable and they not only had me playing musical chairs but when someone finally came to get me from the dryer the manager came and took her for a lady that had come in about 20 mins after me. The stylist just left and didnt come back. Eventually another lady came, moved me and finished my hair. No apology, no explanation. I was so close to walking out with my hair unfinished.

They always do an amazing job on my natural hair. Sometimes theres only one stylist. The longest it ever took to complete my hair was 2 hours. I go here every couple of months. And they are so nice!
