I went to this salon for the first time yesterday and walked out looking like a hair model!! First of all Im a licensed cosmetologist and have worked in 2 salons so I know a bit about how things should be.. When I first walked in I was immediately greeted by 2 receptionists who were friendly and welcoming. I sat in the small lobby area that is separated by a wall from the rest of the salon. My stylist Ashleigh greeted me and took me to her chair to which I discovered the part behind the wall is huge! They have semi private stations that double up and there is an adorable walkway to the back. It felt like Im in a cozy house or a set up in IKEA. I knew nothing about my stylist and was only recommended to her by the owner. She was very kind and attentive. We talked for a good while until I was sure she understand exactly what I wanted (along with pictures I showed her). It took about an hour and half to put what seemed like a 100 foils into my long orange turned blasian hair. I got full highlights with olaplex, toner and a trim which took over 3 hours. During that time we talked a lot and she was very down to earth! The salon was clean and organized. It wasnt rowdy with people running around and yelling over blow drivers. I felt relaxed. When it came time to wash my hair I was surprised that they had foot a foot rest on the shampoo chairs. When I saw my hair it was in awe! My hair felt soft and the color was a gorgeous icy blonde hair which is awesome for being asian with a lot ot red/orange tones naturally! This was what I wanted that my past 2 stylists were either unwilling to scared to do and definitely got my moneys worth. When I was checking out I received a new client package with coupons and she let me pick a free sample. I will definitely be using them and coming back to Ashleigh :)

After spending the morning at the gym next door, I walked into Image Is... on the off chance they had an available appointment for a haircut. They had one immediately, and I sat down to wait for the stylist to finish her other appointment. After a few minutes, Rheannon came out and introduced herself and told me she just needed to finish an eyebrow wax. At that point, I was thinking "well, maybe I should just cancel. Im tired, and Im probably creating an inconvenience since she planned to have the next appointment slot off". I told the receptionist, who changed my mind. I sat back down to wait. A few minutes later the friendly owner came out and offered a complimentary hair treatment while I waited. Worried that I had conveyed disappointment in the wait time, I declined and apologized. The owner, however, insisted on the free treatment. She gave me a tour of the salon and explained and prepared the hair treatment herself. I was very impressed that the owner spent so much time personally interacting with a customer. I could tell just by looking at Rheannon that she was a talented makeup artist and stylist. She trimmed and shaped up my hair perfectly, and she was extremely friendly and easy to talk to. Ive been in the Baltimore area for six years. Ive tried a lot of salons, but never found one that I thought was reasonably priced and comfortable. Ive finally found "the one"!

Where do I begin... 1. Awful customer service! The management will send you a letter in the mail how they appreciate your service and would like you to come back, but if you arent satisfied with your hair and try telling the management - good luck because they are extremely rude. 2. Unskilled hairstylist + over priced. Extremely overpriced to have my hair look like my dog cut it for me not only that apparently the stylist used a product that that was not allowed in the store, but the management couldnt even keep up with their own staff? An awful unethical business with poor customer service who will strip your pockets. Look for a different salon.

I absolutely LOVE this place. It isnt just a salon experience. I feel so at home here! I found Image Is randomly just before my wedding in 2015. I was told Jamie was the bridal hair expert, and she certainly delivered (Ive been getting my hair cut by her ever since)!!! I showed her a photo of what I wanted, and she did EXACTLY that. Debi made an otherwise uncomfortable waxing appointment, much more comfortable for a first-timer, and Ann (who performed my manicure and pedicure) actually BOUGHT my favorite polish and sent it with me as a wedding gift (having never even met me before). Needless to say, you couldnt DRAG me to any other salon. <3

Ive been going to Image Is for 5 years. The stylists are always on time, the salon is very clean, the owner is always there and engaging with clients and staff, everyone is friendly and the prices are reasonable. I typically get a cut and often times I get up dos for special occasions. Ive never left not unhappy and I also used their team for my wedding. My favorite stylists are Chelsey and Kate!
