I went to this salon because of the reviews I read so I thought of putting in a few words for people looking for a salon. This place is great. However, If you are very impatient, then this is not the place for you. Every women should know that you dont go to a salon and expect to be out in 30mns. With that said, you will spend a long time there waiting for your turn. There is no appointment, they go by a sign in list. But its worth the wait. I have natural African American hair and I did a blow dry/flat Iron service.The lady who did my hair got it so straight that it looked like I had a relaxer by the time I was done. My hair was bouncy and shiny! I loved it! I received many compliments too at work. I would recommend her but I dont know her name.lol. But I will definitely go back. Its affordable too! I did not mind the price for the results.

Ive been going to Top Dominican for almost a year, going about every 3-6 weeks. (I allow a "rest" for my hair in between visits.) My experience is that they are fast, affordable (never a surprise in price), and appear to enjoy what they do, except they seem to choose not to speak English. Its sometimes very frustrating when you dont want a service or you have a question and they say they dont understand. Besides the language-barrier and occassional pull of hair, Ill keep recommending this place. I have not had a relaxer in 2 years, because the Dominican salons get it straighter than relaxing with chemicals! (BTW Zulaka- I think thats how she spells it is the best! Shes courteous and I never have a headache after if she does my hair!)

This place was EXCELLENT!! I went right after work close to closing time (6pm on fridays) it was clean, not crowded and the staff is pleasant. I have THICK natural hair and on the recommendation of a friend I decided to for go the weave for a while to see what my natural hair looks like. I was PLEASANTLY surprised. Before my visit here a long time ago I went to another dominican salon on highland ave....needless to say they do not compare to Top Dominican. My hair is soft, silky, and healthy. I will continue to be a customer of Top Dominican, the prices are reasonable and the results are well worth the prices. Ladies with natural hair be prepared to pay an additional $5 for your hair, and if you have thick hair like me....add $10.

I went for a specific service that was shown on their website. When I got there, they stated it was too late/they dont do that. Dont offer a service, but refuse to do it.
