I had the worst salon experience ever while visiting this place. I scheduled my appointment over a week in advance becase I was getting my hair done for my birthday party which was the same day. My appointment was scheduled for 10 am and I came 7 minutes late because I was lost. I called the salon to ask for directions from where I was and they were not able to tell me and I was hung up on. It turned out I was just across the street from the salon so I walked from my car. When I got there I signed in and waited. They did not start doing my hair until 11:47, almost 2 hours after my appointment was shceduled. And they were extremely rude about it. When i realized it was about 11:40 I walked up to one of the stylist and asked when they would be able to start on my hair. She directed me to the manager and I talked to her. She was very rude and talked down to me even though they were the ones who were late. She basicly told me that because my appointment was later in the morning , the client who came in earlier would often make the later appointment run late due to them running late or changing the style they wanted at the last minute. She said that is why she does not advise people to take appoinntments at that time. She took mo resposibility for this at all and while she said all of this she was very rude. I responded by saying that, that was not my fault and that I had been greatly inconveniced due to them being so late and that I would now probably miss my other appointments scheduled for the day. She offered me absolutely no solution. She acted as if it was my fault and ignored me when I began to talk. I then asked her would she be able to do something for me because of me being incoveninced, she then said she would take $10 off of my hair and then thery started doing it. The girl who actually did my hair did not know what she was doing. She was not gentle with my hair and only let the conditioner sit for a total of 45 seconds before she rinsed it out. She then proceeded to roughly dry my hair and did not detangle it at all. When I suggested that she detangle it wet and offered her my detnagling comb she declined. She then proceeded to detangle my hair dry with a small tooth comb and in the process broke 3 combs. Not my hair is thick but I have never broke a comb while doing my natural hair. Not only did she not know what she was doing but all she did the whole time she did my hair was complain about how hungry she was. She also used brown gel on my hair after I asked her not to and told me that it was not gel as if I could not read the bottle. After she finished doing my hair she said her manager wanted to take a picture of my hair. Her manager was not there and never asked me plus she was so rude that I said I did not feel comfortable doing so. After all this was said and done I went to pay for my hair and it was $10 more expensive than the price online. When I asked her why she said it was because my hair was long( my hair is only collar bone length) , and that her manager told her the price earlier. Its funny how she never told me. I then asked her about the $10 dollars off and she said that was the price with the discount. Needless to say I missed all my other appointments of the day because of their horrible customer servie and I will not be back. Also this salon charges a fee to the customers who are late. I feel that if you are going to change a $15 late fee for those who are 15 minutes or more late you should also be more willing to take money off of services that are done late. I dont believe in paying to have me or my hair treated badly.

Recently did a walk-in appointment on this place after I became frustrated with the lack of quality service and skill at Salons in the south (P.G) county area. The two-person staff was professional and pleasant. The salon was clean, had a workable space, and seemed like a natural hair care environment. While I waited I read books on natural haircare that were provided in the waiting area. The loctician who did my hair was VERY knowledgeable about locs and was determined my scalp would be cleaned and WELL moisturized before I left. Mostly natural products were used and she took the time to explain to me what she was using on my hair and why. Prices were reasonable ranging from $60 to $75 for locs depending on what stage the locs are in. The "free" consultation was brief, but I am over looking this because of how abruptly I came into the salon (right before closing). A combination of olive oil, shea butter, and grease was used on my scalp. And my stylist spent a impressive amount of time grooming my locs. I encourage everyone to view the salons web site, as there are certain price deals there that I missed because I rushed in to get my locs done so quickly. It is also best if you make an appointment before you come. Even though i came in last moment, my wait was brief and the stylist apologized. If your tired of low-brow service, and "hood" mentality stylist, who take your money without "caring" for your hair then I STRONGLY recommend this place.

I have been growing my hair natural for 3yrs and was reluctant to go to a salon because im tender headed and just have reserve about letting just anyone do my hair. I read the review by MAG and thought that id give this salon a chance, best thing I did! I left feeling respected, free, light and beautiful. My plan was to just get a wash, and deep condition (to see if i like the place). The wash/massage was AWESOME, followed by a condition that made my hair feel so soft and smooth. When the stylist suggested that she blow dry my hair i was really nervous. Because my attempts to blow dry my hair never quite work out, but she assured me that I would not be disappointed and Im writing this review to say, I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED! This is a family owned place with great customer service.

Called last minute to see if there was anything available for two french braids. She said she would call me when I could come (next couple hours), which worked for me. The space is clean and organized. She has me sign in and then started on me right away. This is the first time I have gotten french braids done where they didnt hurt during or after. There was no pulling at my hair which means, no trauma to the scalp after. The braids were $15 each, which seems to be the going price. Some places in PG county charge too much for something so simple. I will be going back.

No customer service at all then got a no refund policy please spend your hard earned money elsewhere!!!
