Worst experience ever. My package stated it was "delivered on my porch at x time" when I tracked it, when in fact it was not and my husband was home. I called and the manager sent the driver out to talk to me. The driver was trying to tell me he remembered delivering the package and went on to describe a small bag type package. The package I was waiting on was a very large package and I confronted him about that. He said he didnt have any large packages and that he would go back to the post office to look for it and call me back. He never called and they took the phone off of the hook. I tried calling again a couple days later and the manager tried to pretend like he had never spoken to me before. He told me he would look into it and call me back in a little while. He never called and they took the phone off of the hook again. My husband and I went into the post office to talk to them in person and there was a different supervisor who seemed very nice. He did all of the same steps that everyone else claimed to do and said he couldnt find it there but he would try to figure it out and call me. I asked him when he would call me and he told me that he couldnt tell me because it was up to his manager on how they were going to handle it. They will not answer my phone calls. I have tried to call the USPS customer service and I have no luck getting through to anyone. This post office needs a better manager and faster customer service.

If I could give this 0 stars, I would. Every time I come into this Post Office for work all of the employees have the worst attitudes and act like they hate their job. The mail carrier is never on time and always delivers late, and for regular packages they do not even deliver to the door, but leave them on the floor in the mail room. The most recent phone encounter was this morning - I had a package that continued to say "Out for Delivery" since October 8th. I called the USPS and a gentleman answered the phone and said my package had been sent back to the original facility. I hung up and contacted the online store; the rep told me she had no updated information on where the package was and had not received it back. I called the USPS back and the same rude man answered the phone and was unable to reroute the package and could not justify why a package I ordered from the same company a day before I placed my second order was delivered, but the second order had the wrong address and could not be delivered or rerouted. I asked to speak to a manager and the man said, "Youre speaking to one" (I highly doubt he was a manager). The staff is rude and incompetent, and I agree with every other reviewer.

I dont really have too many problems when I have had to mail the occasional package. When I have to call with a question though, they are awful. They always cut you off before you can even ask your complete question, and they will not give you any information until they can talk to your carrier the next morning (even if the question is about USPS delivery POLICY). Also, my local carrier has recently started marking things as delivered even if they are not actually delivered. I have had packages which were marked as Delivered, but they dont get delivered until hours or even DAYS LATER. Im not talking about delivery notices, these items were marked online as being in my mailbox. I called to ask about this on one occasion. I asked if the USPS would ever take a package back even if it was marked as delivered. I was asking about USPS POLICY, not about my particular character, but they cut me off and told me to call back in the morning so that they could ask my carrier.

I just moved to Elkridge. First time I had a package delivered through this post office, they delivered it to the wrong apartment. I had a post it on my door my neighbor when I came home from. Luckily, this neighbor was very polite and kept my package safe for me. I contacted USPS and no one got back to me. It has been 4 business days. I told them that I am not comfortable with them leaving my items at other peoples door steps. I figure if I get something good enough, someone will just say it never came. No reason to tempt people. I would appreciate a response and peace of mind that items I buy online will never go to anyone elses home. Also, if the mail carrier was simply having trouble finding my apartment, I dont see why they would leave it on someone elses door step rather than taking it to the very large, very obvious leasing office so that they may keep it safe for me. It seemed careless.

I originally posted this five years ago, but where Id originally posted it is now "Apex Property Investors, LLC" out of Owings Mills, MD (fishy!!!). There are a ton of other Elkridge USPS reviews there, too (averaging a whopping 1.6 as of my writing this). Here is my original review from five years ago : "Like acantavit, I just suffered through a wait only to be told that the certified mail I was there to pick up couldnt be found. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. Meanwhile, during the wait, I have to listen to one of the two clerks complain incessantly about not getting a break if he takes lunch or if he takes a break, he cant sit down for lunch. For crying out loud, dude, you have a job and being a postal worker and union, you have job security, so please just shut up for the sake of all those in line who may not be so fortunate. This post office is a poster child for why the USPS is bankrupt."

Terrible post office. This location is a prime example of why the USPS bleeds money. The majority of the time there is a line with only one person working. If youre lucky, another will join.... Verrrryyyy slowly once they see the line. If you approach them before they call next for you, youre in trouble, bucko. What is the point of prepaying postage and printing a label if you cant just drop it somewhere? Depending on who is working, you are most likely going to wait 10 minutes to simply hand them a package. They are absurdly slow and I honestly feel like Im bothering them every time I pay to use their services. If youre lucky enough for one of the managers to be out and offer to take your drop offs (Im talking about you, blonde lady), youll be out quickly. If not youre pretty much screwed.

Elkridge, Md Post Office has to be one of the worst post offices in the entire US. They lose packages daily or an employee is stealing them. We will probably find out years later after this location is investigated. The carrier lost my package and marked it as delivered. I call to this location to find out what happened to my package that clearly was NOT delivered. I was promised a call back twice by a Supervisor, still waiting on that callback. I was told to contact the company I ordered from to request a refund. Wow! No one cares at this location and I really wish I didnt live in Zip Code 21075 so I wouldnt have to deal with this location. I have reported this location to the Post Master. I really hope something is done about this location. I cant find anything positive to say about it.
