Theres a very incompetent Nasty woman that works in the back area in the early morning during the week. I drop packages off 5 days a week and she will not do her job and provide assistance when the drop gets full or locks.. She is supposed to respond when the doorbell is rung, she in fact used to do so with a smile last year (2014), Now throughout 2015 she always has a really bad attitude and for 6-7 months now I have just bypassed her and called a nice gentleman named Bob directly on the phone number provided on Google for that location, Bob is always there in the morning, Hes friendly, professional and happy to quickly clear the drop and provide great customer service. She really needs to be removed from her position at the post office, I have heard her being nasty to multiple other customers on multiple occasions while Ive been there. This woman is useless!! Nasty!! And makes the Glen Burnie post office look bad as a whole. I spend thousands of dollars in postage and postal store supplies every year, shouldnt a valuable customers feelings matter?? I guess I will have to file a formal complaint with the Post Master since her supervisor has yet to change or effect this poor behavior. There are tons of wonderful hard working and deserving people that would absolutely appreciate that job and would certainly do it 1000 times better! K.H.

Terrible experience. The staff was very rude and unprofessional. My wife and I went in on a Saturday to update her passport (recently married) and the website said they are open for passport services on Saturday, and nothing about making an appointment. When we get through the line, the lady asked us if we had an appointment and proceeded to just look at us when we said no, we didnt know we had to make one. She then said she would see if they could squeeze us in, but highly doubted it in a very disapproving tone. When she came back she mumbled something about the appointment and said something about another location and quickly called for the next customer. When we asked her what she said, she wouldnt even look at us and mumbled something before calling for the next customer again. We were able to find another location (not USPS!) that had passport services. We definitely wont be returning to this post office. This visit continues the lackluster reputation of the USPS after they lost a bunch of our RSVPs for our wedding. Glad to know my tax dollars arent being squandered...

My husband forgot to put the street number when he ordered some stuff for Christmas so according to the tracking, it looked like it would be returned to the store. The store said there was nothing they could do until the stuff came back to them and that could take 7+ days. Its Christmas season so we were a little panicked about it. I called the Glen Burnie Post office just on a whim but not with a whole lot of hope that they could do anything. I spoke with Jule Evans. She was super nice. She told me that she would ask the delivery woman about my packages when she came back from deliveries and call me back. To be honest, I wasnt holding my breath. Ive had issues before there and had to do the same thing and never got the the call back. But lo and behold, I got a call yesterday from her stating that she did talk to the postwoman and that they corrected my address on the packages and would deliver them that afternoon. When i got home yesterday, both packages were sitting by my front door :-) Thanks Jule and Glen Burnie post office!!!

If I could rate any lower I would. The customer service is terrible and the staff is unfriendly and short. I regularly go there to ship the things I sell and the employees always look miserable and angry. I try to be nice and friendly to them but its no use since all they do is look at you annoyed and smack things on the desks taking 10 minutes to do a job that should take no more than 5 minutes or less. This one time I was shipping a very large and puffy coat and I put it in a appropriate sized box and when Im done taping it securing it properly I get to the front desk and she tells me to ship it in a tiny box that almost exploded when I finished packing it. Literally the box was going to break and not only is it bad for me as the seller to ship in a small unsecured box but also for the buyer if the box breaks or is damaged during the shipping. I do not recommend coming to this post office not only are the lines long but service is terrible and unsatisfactory.

Ive lived in the area for less than two years. This post office has lost over $200 worth of merchandise in that short amount of time. Refused my claims for reimbursement because their tracking always say it was delivered-- A little background, on the two occasions that theyve lost items, their tracking stated that rather large parcels (bigger than a mail box) were delivered to my mail box... These instances were by no means recent and I had already gotten past it, but I just found out that I might be out even more money because they also lost important health insurance forms in the mail!!! Unacceptable. Is this a good enough reason to move?

Normally I get my packages all the time but Ive had problems with my boxes being delivered to the wrong address before. Its not hard to read the address or just scan the Barcode to give it to the correct address. My most recent issue with them was this past week. I never got the pkg I was expecting. Tracking says delivered but I never received it. Now Im going thru a bunch of crap to try and figure out where my pkg is. It didnt just magically disappear so I better get my pkg! I dont have money to throw away like that. I want what I paid for or someone is going to be purchasing a new order for me (glen burnie post office )

This post office for the most very friendly, professional and attentive to their customers needs. They have been able to resolve some of the issues however other issues are unfortunately out of there direct juridisction such as over the last few months my rent being late despite how early I place it in the mailbox. I am still working with them to correct the issue. Update as of March 15, 2014: this is issue was resolved satisfaction and after research tje problem, the post office was not responsible for the mail mixup the main processing office for my rent was. The post office is active and operational.

I dont understand all of the negative reviews. The Glen Burnie post office is one of the nicer post offices I have been to. I am an eBay seller, so I usually just use the parcel drop box, which is very convenient. I have had to buy stamps before, and there is a machine in the main lobby that sells stamps, and you can even print out labels. All of the free priority mail boxes are there, very convenient. I have had to drop packages off at the main office before, and the people are nice and they take the package and give me a receipt. I have nothing to complain about.
