24 April 2012 When I entered the dealership, I was looking for possibilities, not being ready to buy. Peter Eaton met me and we started talking about my plans. At first, he said that he did not have a convertible that would meet my criteria. However, as the conversation proceeded, he recalled a car that had recently been taken in trade. We went outside to look at it, and Pete responded completely and satisfactorily to all of the questions I raised. We took a test drive of about 20 minutes, and during the ride Pete pointed out both the strengths and limiations of the 1975 Ford Musang we were driving. The car was exceptionally clean and the reports Pete provided showed that it was well maintained and had not been involved in any accidents. After the test drive, the closing time for the dealer was approaching. I returned home and did some comparative shoping for price and found Criswells to be quite competitive. I returned the next morning at opening and, since it was raining, Pete let me take the car out for a second drive alone to see how it performed on wet roads. He also provided me with a Car Facts sheet and a copy of the work order for the inspection work done at the time the car was taken in by Criswell only a few days before I first saw it. We made the deal at what I believe to be a very fair price. After agreement was reached, I noted two very minor items that I requested be corrected. Pete agreed to take care of them, and he said that the car will be ready for me on the 25th of May. Further, he said that he would drive it to my home as I have no convenient way to pick it up at the dealership. While I was in the dealership, Pete made a deal on a new car that produced much more revenue than I paid for my Mustang. However, he paid no less attention to my needs and concerns that he did for the customers who bought the new car. In summary, to this point, my interactions with Criswell and Peter Eaton have been most pleasurable and the puchase was completed in a most satifactory manner. Zalman

I purchased my vehicle sight unseen via e-mail...from Spain. The Sales Rep (Arsalan) worked very hard to find the car with the specs I wanted, made me a GREAT deal, and held the car for six weeks until I arrived in the U.S. Fantastic! There were three slight blemishes to the otherwise good experience. First, my Arsalan was Johnny-on-the-spot with communications (via e-mail) while we were working towards a deal, but after we made the deal, it seemed he fell off the grid. Perhaps if I had been in the area and not 4,000 miles away it would have been easier to communicate via phone. Second, when I called once I arrived in the area two days prior to picking up the vehicle and spoke with the Sales Manager (Brian Geist) since I hadnt been able to reach Arsalan, he seemed a bit put off. Rather than an unconditional "Hey great; well see you on Saturday," I got "Oh, youre the guy who we went and found the car for and have been holding it for a while." It seemed a bit disdainful to me. Not terrible, just not as friendly as I expected. Third, Arsalan tried to renegotiate the deal when I arrived to pick up the car. He was trying to "cut [his] losses" and get the purchase price back to dealer invoice. (Told you he made me a GREAT deal). He immediately acquiesced when I assertively reminded him of the deal we made. Perhaps thats a standard sales tactic, but for me, it makes the whole car buying experience a bit more uncomfortable. On a very positive note, the finance folks were GREAT on the day I came to pick up the vehicle and finalize the deal. They were very helpful and patient as I worked out a bit of a SNAFU with my bank concerning the pre-approved loan. Also, the follow-up with the service staff for some required minor post-delivery servicing has also been great. Again, overall good experience.

My daughter had taken my beloved car with her to college, so I needed another vehicle. I visited my credit union, told them what I was looking for, and obtained a auto loan pre-approval letter. With concern for the environment and the rising cost of gas in mind, and the preapproval letter in my hand, I searched for the most fuel efficient non-hybrid vehicle I could find - and my search serendipitously led me to Mr. Noah Greaney. He had the car that I wanted - the Smart fortwo convertible - and he very patiently answered all my questions. He and I took it for a test drive and he explained the "unique" features of the car. Oddly enough, there was no pressure... Once I returned from the test drive I prepared myself for the inevitable "hard sell". I knew I liked the car, HE knew I liked the car, so of course hed pressure me to buy it, right then and there, right? Nope. I told him that I still needed to get to my price range (which was several thousand dollars from their price point). Noah simply asked me "What do you want to pay" - I told him, and he stepped away for a few minutes. I steeled myself for the adversarial negotiation that was sure to come. He returned and said, "Okay, my manager agreed to that price". WHAT?!? I thought I was buying a car! They made the process enjoyable... When I gave the credit unions auto loan department the information on the vehicle, they said "Wow - you got a GREAT deal!" Yes I did, thanks to Mr. Noah Greaney. The next time Im in the market to buy a car, Im calling Noah - and the next time YOURE in the market for a car, you should call him, too.

Richard Beckett was the third used car salesman I spoke to in my search and, with great reason, the last. Everything about him was unconventional in the used car buying experience, from the test drive (he just gave us the keys and said bring it back when you are ready. Everyone else tried to pressure me into buying during the test drive, but with Richard, I actually got to know the car without a sales person distracting me from the experience), to the sales experience (Low to almost no pressure at all. He let the product sell itself and it simply felt wonderful), and finally, the buying process (I had a flag on my MVA account that was preventing the final purchase. Richard lent me a land line and then the car [I thought I was buying a car and the person who dropped me off had already left] to get to the MVA 40min before it closed the day before a federal holiday so I could finalize the purchase). The most amazing part may be that everyone on Richard Becketts team seems to be exactly like him, including Duke, his sales manager. I cant guarantee a person that theyll have the same experiences I had, with just any salesperson at Criswell, but I know theyll have a similar experience with Richard Beckett when they go to Criswell Chevrolet. That gentleman was truly top-notch in what became the most pleasant buying experience that was well worth the hour drive away. Im very happy with my new-to-me 2008 Subaru Legacy Sedan Limited Edition. If you ever read this, Richard and Duke, thanks for the amazingly awesome car buying experiences!
