Positive reviews must be biased. I have given a lot of reviews in Yelp and am very straightforward. See the similarity of my experience with many others here. Stating that Chris Schmidts (the owner) is condescending is an understatement. Saying he is a jerk is probably more accurate. I called to find to verify if they provide a free estimate for brake inspection. Right from the first call I could tell he was not friendly and seemed that he didnt enjoy his business. I still went there to obtain an estimate for brake replacement. He was extremely rude from start to finish. I could not believe an owner of a business would treat customers in such a way. He told me the job would take an hour. An hour was approaching and I merely asked his technician how much longer for the parts to arrive. The technician very nicely stated 15 more minutes. The owner barged out and started scolding me for asking his technician and that he already told me how long it was going to take and that I should have left instead of hanging around. I told him he had no right to speak to a customer in such a manner and if he was going to continue being rude, then he should return my car. He then stated if I wanted my car back, I would have to pay him $100 for the time the car sat unattended. Pure extortion. Not sure how many bad reviews it takes to convince people to stay away from this business. He also stated I had a screw in my tire and it could not be repaired and I have to get all 4 tires replaced for nearly $700. I didnt fall for that. I took it down the street and they repaired it for $15 without any problem. Crooked owner is just yet another understatement. The law doesnt help in this regard, so its up to Yelpers to help each other.

I had a great experience with Chris and Meineke Car Care. I was driving to work on Friday when a warning light came on. The car seemed fine, so I kept on driving thinking that I would check it when I got to work. A few minutes later I heard a loud noise so I pulled over into the first driveway which, lucky for me, was Meineke. After checking my owners manual I discovered that light meant low tire pressure. By that time the car was tilting to the left noticeably and when I got out of the car I discovered the tire was completely flat to the rim. I called work and told them I would be late and walked up to the door to discover that although they didnt open until 0730, Chris was there and said he would take a look. He changed my tire, put the donut on and looked for a replacement tire while I was at work. I punched my time clock at work with 2 minutes to spare! I cant thank him enough for starting his day early so that I could get to work on time!

The owner Chris is a real sarcastic wise guy. Took my car in for brakes with a coupon and they squeeked like crazy. I took the car back and he laughed saying he couldnt hear a squeak. I drove home. A few days later, the squeak was back...LOUDER than ever. I took the car to another place (Fairfax Shell) and they told me there was a missing caliper pin in two brakes and fixed it for $90.00. They suggested that lubricating spray can stop the squeak for a few days to shut up customers at Meineke. HORRIBLE! I called Meineke back asking for $90.00. I was put on hold for 20 minutes before I hung up and called back. I was put on hold again. Finally, I wrote National Meineke a letter of complaint and CHRIS ANSWERED IT BASICALLY ACCUSING ME OF BEING A BAD CUSTOMER!!! There apparently is no "National Meineke" who you can go to and complain. NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE.

The quality of the work on my car was average, looking at the parts they installed for my rear brakes they seemed fine, but I had to make them rebleed my brake fluid since it came out "squishy" (classic sign of air in the lines) the first time, had to argue with the owner to do so who told me he had already tested the brakes finding them "sufficient." I didnt pay the hundred dollars for two hours of labor to get sufficient brakes, I paid that money for excellent brakes, for a quality driving experience. Thats the nation thing this place definitely overcharged and I have yet to see how many miles Ill get out of the parts, but it looks to be that I received an average service at best and if there parts they installed turn out to be duds then I run the risk that in fact Ill have been charged a lot of money for really bad service.

This guy has horrible customer service. He took my car in for a oil change(1 year old lexus suv). I went in for a oil change at 19,000 miles. He lifted my car and started the oil drain process then he tells me he doesnt have a filter for my car....while draining my oil... then i said wtf why you tell me this now? Then he goes to the back for a minute and comes back and says he has the filter. He changes the oil and filter (i hope he changed the filter) and returns the to me but tells me he doesnt know how to reset the cars maintenance system.. i had to go to another place to get that resetted.. i paid full price and they couldnt finish what they started. Also its common courtesy to not get oily hand prints on the hood/door of the car.

These people are crazy!!! I went to get my A/C fixed. when I pick my car up they had over 4000$ of recommendation for a vehicle that has only 20,000 miles, I talked to the Shop manager Chris, his respond was it will need this in the future. Honestly this does not make sense to me when the car has only 20k mile. I asked him when I should do this service; he told me now if you want to get more out of my car. I did not stop there, I went to the dealer and told them my car is under warranty and they should address those items, their Certified Mechanic was surprised that they would make such unreasonable recommendation. Please save your time and money and stay away from this Location.

I have been taking my two vehicles for basic oil change at this place for couple years now. Now I have been told indirectly that they dont make money on oil change and if I am not going to go with their "expensive" recommendations then I should take my vehicles somewhere else. Thats fine with me. I am sure there are more places which will take my dollars gladly. Also probably should change advertisement to say "$19.99 only --if recommended services allowed to complete".

Really rude... I called to ask about services and was spoken to like an idiot, none of my simple questions were answered and eventually, I ended the conversation because clearly my business was not needed here. Disappointing! This is the closest mechanic to me, I see people outside advertising for it with signs everyday, I thought that would mean they were in need of business...
