It would be nice if neighboring post offices coordinated their hours. Garrett Park is 12, Kensington is 1, theyre all over the map, as if this was some sort of mom and pop operation instead of a national institution that expects to be relied upon. I mistakenly went to Garrett Park, found it was closed already at 10 to 1, then drove like a maniac to Kensington, arriving at precisely 1 sharp. An employee, a scowling fellow, was standing at the door to the inner chamber, and said under no circumstances would he let me through. He kept repeating we close at 1, we close at 1. I explained that this was an emergency, that I didnt have other options during the work week, and that it was precisely 1 sharp, not a second more, when I arrived. He couldnt have cared less. Others in the waiting area were saying "Cmon man, its Christmas, let him in," but he was just hell bent on being a rude jerk -- and succeeded beyond all expectations. I would urge the P.O. to work a bit on its service ethic. I regret that zero stars is not an option.

Second time Ive had mail lost here. This was certified mail they lost this time, I was told Id be contacted that day to get updated on what happened, no call. Filed a case the next day and was told Id be contacted in two days, I had to call to be told by an automation system that it is resolved. I dont know what that means so I called the post office and they lady who handles this stuff isnt there and no one could tell me anything about the mail. I know what the mail is and its time sensitive. Worse post office Ive ever been to.

It is always a pleasure to come to this post office! The people who work here are unfailingly pleasant, helpful, and courteous, and beyond that, friendly and cheerful! Even the customers are the same - it feels like 1950 Pleasantville - I love it!! Thank you for all you do each and every day for us.

The most inept post office in the world. Except our mail carrier Glen gets it done. I have an 8 lbs terrier who barks a lot but is overall harmless and other mail carriers are afraid to deliver my mail because of him. Hes 8 lbs and looks like a rabbit.

Surly automatons. They fail to understand they are a retail business and rely on their customers to come back. This USPS is terrible. No wonder theyre going out of business if this is their public face! Id give them negative stars if I could

I think it is a good post office. I wish they would smile more and were a little friendlier but they are very efficient and get the job done.

Generally one of the better Post Offices. Staff are efficient and courteous. Sometimes could use an extra clerk.
