I initially gave Nocks a low rating because they charged me for parts and labor when identifying and fixing a problem in my car that they inadvertently caused by installing wrong type of oil filter. My car is a 2005 Honda CRV LX that goes into limp home mode when a non-brand filter is used, something that I and Nocks did not know through no fault of our own. When I posted my low rating and the explanation behind it online, I promptly received a call from their general manager Chuck Barnes who politely asked me to come in so that he could help fix the situation. When I arrived, he apologized for me being charged by mistake, the employee who billed me was out of the loop and didn’t get the heads up to comp my bill and the towing fee I had from having my car towed 70 miles home. Chuck was very professional, took the time to explain what happened, took responsibility for what happened, and really went to extra mile to win me back as a customer. It is rare to find a business that cares so much about doing the right thing.
