In a few short words, NEVER let them give you chemical treatments. The "stylists" are unlicensed. The owner is NEVER there to supervise the work. No one speaks English well, if at all, so you cannot communicate your needs, not that they would pay you any mind anyway. I asked my stylist to wash perm out of my head after realizing how long it had been since she started applying it. After 25 minutes she had only permed half my head. She said "Ok Mami, just a little bit longer." I told her to I needed to be washed right away. She went to another stylist and asked her to "finish" the job and walked away from me completely. That stylist washed me out rather quickly, but three days later I started to lose hair in great patches all over my head. I have SEVERAL patches of hair no longer than an inch. I went back immediately and the owner tried to tell me it was normal shedding. Shedding my #$#$#. My hair is ABSOLUTELY ruined, and the stylist NEVER acknowledged what she had done. BTW: The owners name is Carmen!

Their Customer Service Sucks...Seriously! Its appalling! But no one can match their blow out skills. They are efficient. Theyve gotten me in and out in 3 hours or less always. Im always satisfied with the results when I leave. Call me what youd like because I have definitely been burned, partially chemically processed without permission, and called the B word by the OWNER, after inquiring about the significant price markup! Sad to say, Ive gone back each and every time. When I try any place else...they just do not do it fast enough, nor do they get it straight enough. I just got my hair done some where else, it was cheaper, customer service was great, but they left my roots puffy and suggested I get a perm. To which I simply responded "No". Looks like Ill be returning to Sashelvis for a bruising soon. Still in search of the all-in-one experience. Until then Ill be taking my beat downs like a champ for the price of vanity :(

The salon in Silver Springs create beautiful hair. I have been going to this salon for 6 years and my hair always looks and feel GREAT! I also get my hair hot curled. Everyone who comes out of there, looks fantastic and their hair flows, shines and look healthy. Walk ins would be amazed. I wouldnt change for a shop closer to my home. I travel from far NE DC to have my hair done. I am very pleased. The girls in the shop speak little english but they are very pleasant and nice. The owner speakes very good english and she knows HAIR. I have never had a bad experience. I know you would be pleased with the experience.

I love all three locations. I have gotten my hair done in Silver Spring for over 10 years now... I was at the Bowie location about a month ago, and LOVED the service. And... I went to the Glen Burnie location and had a really good experience. I loved the Brand New salon... I noticed that Bowie and Glen Burnie are under different management than Silver Spring location. But, I have no complaints.... not at all!
