Had a pedi & a full set of acrylics done here (by Claire the owner) about a month ago, and in less than a week my acrylics were lifting & peeling. They werent even glued onto my real nails correctly. The tips were not attached, so there were gaps and of course when you use your hands, things like food & dirt from cleaning would get between my real nails & the tips. I was able to take them all off by myself w/ no acetone or clippers in under 20mins. Had to have them redone by #1 Nail on Tippin Dr. Was told there that they get alot of customers from Renovations with that issue. Have had regular manis there before, and they dont last a week either. My pedi however, lasted alot longer, but still just wasnt as good as ones Ive had elsewhere, mainly #1 Nail.

I cant say enough about the great service and nice people at Renovations. Katie does the best spa pedicure ever and her nail art is superb. She did a tropical fish on one nail for my vacation and it got rave reviews everywhere I went. Judy and Claire always take good care of me too. The level of service and quality of work is what you could expect in a metro salon, right here in Thurmont. Keep up the good work!

I have had acrylics done by Claire since she opened her salon. I have always had excellent results. They not only look great, they last for weeks enduring dishes, gardening and scrubbing the house. Also, I like Renovations because it is always clean, the staff is polite and I have never heard them stoop low and criticize another salons work. Professionalism goes along way in assuring my repeat business.

Sandy does a fine job with color. My hair is auburn, turning gray and hard to match. She did it perfectly. The salon stylists are friendly and the salon itself is very clean and tidy. The staff seems dedicated to their profession. L. Greenbacker
