My husband and I have a 2006 WRX thats had a bit of a rough life. Not long after buying it we were in a collision and went to our insurance companys body shop; what a mistake. They lied about completing aspects of the job and did the rest poorly. It was a nightmare and took months to finally fix. When we moved to the area we were excited to find a shop like IAG. There was a recurrent problem with our car that had been going on for years and that several Subaru dealerships had not been able to fix (though they were happy to take our money!). When we told IAG what we wanted accomplished they were frank about what needed to be done and where we had options to make it more affordable. IAG took good care of us and it wasnt nearly as expensive as we had assumed. We had only worked with IAGs performance side at first, but when we were involved in a collision we knew right away that IAGs body shop would be where we insisted on having our car taken. It wasnt hard. We told our insurance company that we wanted IAG to do the work, they arranged for an estimate to be written, and once the estimate was done IAG took care of everything. When they were done our car looked as good as new. Most importantly, though, when our insurance company tried to cut corners and wanted IAG to use cheap and ill-suited parts instead of the real thing IAG fought for us. Shorty, the collision shop manager, fought with our insurance company to get them to do the right thing and make our car whole. IAG didnt get extra money for the extra time Shorty had to spend on the phone or submitting photos and emails to show why OEM parts had to be used, but they took care of us like it was their own car. I know that a lot of body shops wouldnt waste their energy because it doesnt mean extra money for them, but the folks at IAG seem to really have a passion for what they do. I am hugely skeptical of mechanics, but IAG has earned our trust; if they told us that our car needed a service I would be confident to follow their recommendations. We hope to have more performance upgrades done and well go back to IAG for that. Their collision shop works with all cars, not just Subarus, and I would recommend them to anyone who wants their mechanic to work for them, not their insurance company.

More recent attempts to get work performed on my car have shown that IAG has grown quite a bit over these past few years. Expanded business but not so much with expansion of their facilities. So much so that the likelihood of getting work done in a reasonable time is quite low. A busy shop of course is not why I write this review. My most recent experience was with their body shop. I have a GD to GM swap in progress and am looking to do a complete color change. After over a month of below average communication I was still no closer to getting my car painted. Not a quote for the work or a date I could deliver it to the shop. I tried to be patient and continued to contact the shop manager directly both by email and phone but eventually stopped receiving responses all together. This was all shortly after being told that he finally had a quote for me. Of course one was never emailed to me... I should not have to chase down a company or person in order to give them my business. Andrewtech now has my business when it comes to building my engine. And instead of having to wait a month or two to drop it off, I was able to drop it off the same week I received a quote via email. **Overdue update/edit to this review** Shortly after posting this, Rick from IAG reached out to me to see if he could assist with the situation. I had already made other arrangements by this time, but this type of follow-up and customer service is why IAG has the reputation that they have. I am fairly certain that had I approached JJ and Rick about this before getting fed up, that it could have been resolved. A big thanks to Rick for being a stand up dude and always being a pleasure to deal with.

I would like to thank J.J and his team for an amazing job on my 2016 Subaru WRX. I had this car for just about 1 month and was rear ended in a hit and run accident. The level of quality over at IAG is bar none. J.J reached out to me and took care of the entire process. I was hit on Christmas Eve, and J.J nonetheless took care of me and my vehicle. He set up a tow to get my vehicle to the shop, dealt with both Geico and Nationwide for what turned out to be a bit of a complicated claim, and made sure the claim was done correctly so my car could get the attention it needed. The body shop manager, Shorty, handled my car with great care. He kept me updated on the process and provided excellent turn-around time given the timing of the accident. I live in Silver Spring MD, near DC, so IAG was an inconvenient option at best. However, I will never bring my car anywhere else for body repairs and/or performance work. You guys run a great business. Thanks again.

Above and Beyond service, a pleasure to deal with, prompt shipping and communication. All you would expect from a A++ business, all my future needs will be from IAG Performance. Product Arrived well packaged, as promised, and even a bonus IAG BUILT sticker :o) love it. If the product is anything like their service, then I have nothing to say but you guys are the best. Only thing I would recommend, is UPS service to CANADA sucks. I would recommend FEDEX, or faster USPS service options; for emergency needs. As UPS service is very bad, or just give the customer the option for HOLD FOR PICKUP at UPS, because they almost delayed my parts over the weekend, because of a failed delivery attempt while I was home from 6am-6pm and they said no one was home for 1st attempt. Keep in mind that is a UPS problem not IAG. Highly recommend IAG and the staff for all their work/service. Thank You

I drove an hour to come here because I heard about them from someone else. Waste of time replace belts and had to come back for tightening and more tightening. They had the nerve to try and charge for the tightening. Could of just done it locally. They also quoted me two different prices on another project. Seem too shady. I know its a business, but no need to try and rip people off. A little pricey, didnt mind at first b/c they supposedly know how to work on Subarus. Not driving that far again too rich for my blood. I think they charge more b/c of the showroom, which is ok. Cant imagine a car place in Westminster pays as much for a lease compared to a shop in Montgomery county. So why so much?? gave it two stars b/c at least one guy there didnt look at me as if I was a dollar bill.

Been going to IAG since i bought my 2013 wrx in October of 12. Have had nothing short of a great experience with them. JJ the owner takes pride in his shop and the work his employees perform on all the vehicles that come in. Through my experience Ive had 2 motor builds, a transmission swap, and also body work done by their body shop. They are very honest and straight forward with any question you have to ask. I also had my car tuned in-house by their mechanic/tuner Cleo. I couldnt of asked for anything more out of them. I have briefly experienced other shops in the baltimore/washington area and IAG is the shop I would strongly recommend.
