I took my vehicle to this shop in good faith describing a very specific problem with the owner, Chris, even beforehand. I had his assurance that he had the equipment and expertise to fully complete this repair. I had indicated a top limit budget for this repair, but when I went to pick up my vehicle the cost was exactly double that limit. I agreed to pay in order to retrieve my vehicle. However, there was still a problem with the vehicle related directly to the very reason I brought the vehicle to this shop for repair. The owner, knowing the vehicle still had a problem, allowed me to take delivery of the vehicle without making the necessary remaining repairs which he should have completed but did not due to his admitted difficulty with and inability to finding the problem, and still charged me double. This, from an "auto mechanic"! So a week or two later I called back and proposed to pay extra for Chris to complete the repair properly. Chris expressed his vehement disapproval of my implication that the vehicle was only "1/2 repaired", as he put it, which was in fact the truth otherwise I would not have needed to call back to have this repair properly completed. Chris then refused to complete the repair while still retaining my doubled payment and as well as rejecting my offer to pay him extra what I considered to be extremely equitable additional payment. He then hung up on me and left me with a disfunctional vehicle at this point. I would have gladly given him the chance to finish this job amicably, but his mistreatment and unprofessional conduct toward me is inexcuseable and unjustifiable. I am very dissatisfied with this owners response to me as a result of my quest to have him complete this work properly. While he did "partially" fix the car, that is NOT the job of a good mechanic, nor what I paid him for. It is to repair 100% the problem or not charge the customer if they cannot or will not, especially since his original contention was otherwise.

Be forewarned: This garage used to be good prior to the new owner as of 2006. I brought my car here because I thought I had some transmission problems. They told me that I needed a new transmission at 60,000 miles and it would be $2000 to $3000. Thankfully I got a second opinion and it turned out that all I needed was a transmission filter and fluid change. Saved myself at least $2000. The car now has easily 2x that mileage and no issues whatsoever. Id recommend taking your vehicle elsewhere unless you want to blow money unnecessarily.

Chris-- Thank you so much for all your help and expertise this past weekend. The prospect of being stranded with no brakes 4 hours from home was extremely upsetting, however, your kindness and genuine concern for not only my safety, but my sons was touching.Your prompt attention and repair of my vehicles master cylinder, as well as our pick up from the hotel and transport to your shop was incredible. I would never find that kind of treatment here in NY! Thank you, thank you!

I have been coming to this establishment since its opened. I have always been 10O% happy with everything. The customer service the help the service the price. The owner Chris has always been more than helpful in anyway possible. They are very fair and knowledgeable in all they do every time. I would recommend this place to my friends and family and I do. Great people.great work and very professional.

I would just like to thank Automotive Technology & Transmission for taking car of my car. I dont know too much about vehicles, but what I do know, is that when I took my car in, something was wrong, and when I picked my car up, it ran beautifully, and it didnt cost me an arm/leg/foot/and hand, like the dealership would have charged. They were also really cool, nice people. Thank you guys!

First time I used them, and they were very good. It was a fair price for the work and it was done on time. They were very upfront that they changed another part in the process and kept the part to show me why they needed to change it. I will use them again for my next automotive repair or service.

They quickly diagnosed my problem, told me what it would take to fix it, quoted me a price, I said great, and 2 days later my car was up and running again! It was the easiest thing Ive ever done. After having such a great experience, I recommended them to ALL my friends!

knowledgeable, thorough, and inexpensive -- everything you could possibly want in a mechanic. For me, being able to trust my mechanic is really important (as is not being up-sold on a bunch of repairs I dont really need).
