Pros -- Fast & Friendly, reasonable price for a chain Cons -- Made 2 mistakes, at least one should have been caught by them I dropped my car off for a large service and new shocks, about $1000 total which was a reasonable price They did call during the day to give me progress and ask a couple of questions--which was great The trouble I had was that 2 months later I wanted to change over my snow tires and discovered that they had cross-threaded one of the lug nuts on a front tire--I find it hard to believe whoever did the work missed this because each individual nut requires that you screw on a little plastic decorative cap by hand, and this particular nut was sticking out nearly 3/4" or more further then the others. After this service also noticed some dripping oil in the snow--the car never leaked oil before, but I figured hey its got 140K, must be something new--well I changed my own oil yesterday and it turns out that the leak was oil seeping between the oil filter gasket and mounting plate because the oil filter was just barely tightened down. I dont blame them for the oil filter, its an honest mistake for it to be a little bit loose and the car didnt lose much oil--less then 1/2 a quart over 3 months. However I am aggravated about the cross thread lug nut--my guess is they have someone minimum wage who handles the oil changes and tire work who probably didnt want to get in trouble for messing up a customers car, so figured just let it go, but the time I notice it will be too late to complain--well that person was right, because Im just going to go somewhere else to have it fixed!

My husband used to buy his tires here for our cars over the last 12 years because they are within walking distance of our house, so I took my vehicle in for an oil change. Instead of the synthetic oil I asked for (it is the manufacturers specification), they put in regular oil. They offered to replace it with the synthetic at full cost in addition to the full cost they already charged me for the wrong oil. The manager did not even offer an apology for their error, only said that it wouldnt hurt my vehicle. If you cant trust a shop on the little things there is no way you should even consider them for the bigger things. I didnt get angry - it would have served no purpose, but needless to say we will never again use Hogan Tire.

Hi, Went to Hogan Tire lasat week to get 4 new tires and also some work done on my broken door and engine light. The service that I recieved from the moment I first called to the time I picked up my car was absolutely outstanding! The individuals that helped me were very helpful in decided what tires to get (including letting me know if the current deals/sales) and were extremely helpful getting my door and emissions issue fixed. I would recommend Hogan Tire in Waltham to anyone and will plan on going there for any future autocare needs (not just tires) in the future. Thanks for you help! Brett Nault

Rude, and apparently Im not the only one who thinks so if you read the other reviews. I was there for a grand total of about 30 seconds. The little fat guy (im not dissing him for being fat im just describing him because i didnt stay long enough to get his name) behind the counter was spitting out a bunch of prepared answers for my questions and did so in a rather sniveling way. When I found out that they would charge $140 to mount my tires I walked out. Creonte down the road would do all my tires for $60, and firestone in watertown for $88. Not that Im saying go to firestone.

This place gets it done, and done right. I have been going here for the last 3 years with my 09 xterra. The boys at the desk know what they are doing and have always given me great pricing on tires. There service plans on tires and cheap oil change prices keep me coming back. I typically do a drop off in the morning and pick it up around noon. Overall a great place to go for service of any kind. If they cant do what you need they will provide you with someone who can.

my windshield wipers became very bad, it was 6pm and they were in dire need of replacing. I pulled up to Hogan Tire because I got good service there before. They were closed, and Mark, the customer service guy, was just leaving. Nevertheless, he hooked me up with new wipers. I would definitely go there to get work done on my car from now on. It is rare to get such non-bureaucratic, conscientious service anywhere these days.

I needed two tire install and an oil change with my own oil.Made an appointment for next day 10 am, brought the car , they said 1-1:30 hr . Went back after 1:30 hrs and they just started working on the car... waited one more hour and they didnt even tell me anything..What reason is for appointment if they forget about your car.. And also they added more oil then the max recommended level...I hope it is my oil at least..Sad...

Ill never go back to this place because they sent me out on the road with finger-tight lug nuts on all 4 wheels. It would have been bad enough if it had been just me in the car, but I had my young son in the back seat. I noticed a shimmy when I went on the highway, so I dropped my speed and took the first exit. That is when I discovered that I could turn the lug nuts on all 4 wheels with my fingers. FAIL!

I took my car here for an alignment and found out I need a part first. The quote they gave me for labor was fair and they stuck to it. Their quote upfront was more than other places, but they stuck to it (where Sullivan doubled theirs as soon as they realized they had to actually make an adjustment). Id recommend these guys, they were honest with me from the start and never tried to screw me.

We have been at the store in Waltham several times, and are very pleased. The staff, from the managers, right through the mechanics and tire busters know their. I had been a GM for Goodyear Tire & Rubber, managed several corporate locations, and from that standpoint, Hogan Tire is the only company I will use in the future.

I called a week ahead to get the "All said and done, out the door" estimate for 4 new tires. Everything was as promised...no gimmicks or false pricing. They were great. Very fast and honest with a keurig coffee machine! nice touch. Thank you! Highly recommend.

Always fast oil changes. On time with appointments and offer great deals. Very honest price and honest about your car and if more service is needed. Needed my breaks replaced and Hogan worked on a time and deal for me to fit my needs perfectly. A+

I came in with a flat tire and was literally yelled at. The owner was upset that I would even bring a tire like this in (it had a bent frame and was, thus beyond repair). Not recommended to anyone. Very rude. Stay away.
