I had a horrible experience with CheckMaid and would strongly discourage anyone from using their services and would have rated zero stars if it had allowed me to. I had scheduled a move-in clean, for 4 hours and 50 minutes of cleaning for $296 for a 1600 sq foot house which is supposed to be a very thorough cleaning. They showed up with 5 people instead of 2 as scheduled and raced through the house and were in and out in an hour. My husband had to continue to point out dirty spots they had neglected; the house was by no means cleaned properly. The house was empty- as we were looking to move in after having the interior painted. I immediately got on the phone, telling them I would not be paying for this appointment. I said they better refund my credit card because I now have to hire someone else to clean it properly. They offered me a re-clean and I declined because my family needed to move into the house the next morning and I didnt have the luxury of chancing it not being cleaned again. And I also let them know I honestly didnt trust them to re-clean it based on the work ethic of the staff they sent the first time around. I hired another service to come the next morning and clean for $260. I called several times asking to speak to a manager, although the women answering the phone tried to be helpful they never had any of the supervisors/managers return my calls as I requested. Although maybe they did relay my messages and the managers just chose not to call me back. I sent them several pictures showing debris and dirt left behind on floors and bathrooms not cleaned. They offered me a refund for 50%, I said that was not acceptable they did not do 50% of the job and I continued to call and ask for a manager. I finally gave up and called my credit card company and disputed the charge and hopefully this will get resolved the way it should be. I would advise you to seek out other cleaning services or clean your home yourself because it will still feel dirty when they are done with it :(

My experience with Check Maid is a nightmare. We reserved a move-out cleaning service scheduled at 8 am on Aug 30th with Check Maid eleven days ago. On Aug 28th, my credit card was charged for $180 by Check Maid, and I received the service reminder from Check Maid. But today, till 8:40 am, I did not see their service. I have to call them twice. The first time I called, they were saying they would check wheres their crew. The second time I called, they were saying that my reservation has been cancelled by them, because of something in their side. And theyre also saying that they do not have the right phone number, so they cannot notify me, even though they have successfully sent me three letters previously, including the confirmation letter and service reminder. If you dont want to be in the trouble (last-second cancellation and hurry to find a replacement before your lease ends) similar to us, be very careful about making reservation with Check Maid.

I used this service last Friday, and would not advise people using this company. Here are the reasons why: - they quoted me an arrival time of 9AM. When I asked if that was an exact time or a window, the woman on the phone said it would be a 30 minute window- but that they usually show up 5-10 mins early. They actually they showed up at 10:01 AM, and this was after 3 calls to their office. - I paid for a premium clean, but they did not wash my floors or under my couch. Also there were areas of dust and dirt in the corners of the floor. - worst of all is I went to clean last night and realized all of my cleaning supplies were missing. So not only are they not punctual or very thorough, they also took my almost new bottle of windex and Lysol multi purpose cleaner. Thanks but no thanks to another clean, and Im still waiting for my refund.

Really good service. My girlfriend was celebrating a promotion and decided to throw a house party, and well, afterwards, it was left to us to clean up. Neither of us were up for it so we called up Check Maid. We got the estimate over the phone, and their crew came by in a couple of hours. We left to get some coffee and food and they were waiting for us when we came back, the place was immaculate - the garbage was placed in bags by the front steps, entire house was swept and wiped clean, tables and cabinets dusted, windows cleaned, dishes washed, dried and put away. We were impressed, and they were affordable too. Job well done.

I am blessed to be able to travel all over for work, and have a home here in Boston where I am able to come and relax when possible. This is one of my favorite companies to utilize when I get back. My house is always closed up and feels stuffy, so I call these guys ahead of time, let em know Im on my way home and theyre really good about meeting me there not long after I get there to clean things up & air it out. They are dependable, trustworthy, and do an amazing job! They are one of the first things I look foreword to when I get home, the next is relaxing! Thanks guys!

Never thought I would need a cleaning service but would highly recommend- save time and energy you can use on more productive work for a reasonable price! Anyone whos been or is a college student knows how hard it is to keep a room or apartment clean. Especially in Boston, where snow and cold breeds dirty apartments and laziness. I was recommended this service by my friend and decided to give it a go. I only needed one team but they did a thorough job and were prompt and efficient. Not sure how long until it gets messy again but will def use their service again!

I needed to clean my last apartment. I subletted from a friend and wanted it in great shape when I moved out. I hired check maid after a google search. Simply put I am a happy customer. The maid came on time. Yes, on time. I didnt have to do to much talking. She looked around and she saw areas I thought couldnt be salvaged. After a few hours, I returned. I walked in to a sweet smelling apartment. It lookes liked a new place. Bathroom was cleaned. The tub was shiny and white. The kitchen and counter tops were pristine. Thank you so much and the price was decent.

We just moved to Boston. The past residents left without leaving the house in good shape. I hired Check maid purely off their reviews. I needed fast service since we wanted to move in asap. I had two maids come on Monday. They are just angles. They so polite and lovely. The came read with supplies and a great work attitude. My home was lemony fresh and cleaned. They nasty bathrooms were pristine when they left. The master bedroom had some gross residue which they cleaned and got rid off. I deep appreciate the fast service. I love you guys so much

We are so happy that we found Review Check. My wife recently started working longer hours and our house was falling into disrepair haha. Basically we had so little time to spend together, we didnt want to spend it cleaning. So we outsourced. A friend recommended Review Check. We are so impressed. The house is cleaner than we ever were able to clean it. The things you dont think about, like baseboards and cabinets, make the house look ten years younger. They are always prompt and friendly. We look forward to using this company for a long time.
