I absolutely love this workout. The hour goes by so fast. The trainers are motivating and encouraging the equipment is all clean and up to date. The class is challenging but they are great about modifications (power-walk, bike or eliptical instead of running on the treadmill) so if you have wonky knees, youll be ok. Id like to address the review from Ryan that mentions being turned away because they were late for their first class by 15 minutes. I remember you. I was there that morning and you are making some pretty big assumptions about OTF knowing absolutely nothing about it. The class was pretty big that day and they were one person short at the desk. There was only one person there to get everyones monitors online and check everyone in. Also, you were not the only new people there that morning. It takes a while to set all that up, especially for newbies. The "tour" you speak of is not a tour at all but an orientation which you ABSOLUTELY need because Ive been doing this for months now and I still get a little mixed up with the intervals. It would be very irresponsible of the trainers if they didnt take you into the training room before class to explain how everything works. If you went in there knowing nothing it would inhibit the class for everyone. The trainer would be trying to get you up to speed during class and the rest of the class would suffer for it. Also, I heard the entire conversation and there was no mention of traffic and it seemed like you didnt even bother to call to let them know youd be 15 minutes late. I am sure that if you had extended them that courtesy they would have tried to accommodate. As far as the "sales pitch" I have never been involved in a "pitch" that was so low pressure. They give you a laminated price sheet with tons of options and, while its not cheap, there is something for nearly every budget. No one hounded us. They said "let us know if you have any questions" and left us to decide. We left without buying a package so we could discuss and didnt get one single stink-eye. I have had nothing but pleasant experiences with the staff there. They are all very focused on member experience. This all being said you should know going into this that it is on the expensive side. There are no big locker rooms and no towel service. Two private showers and two unisex bathroom stalls. Both are very nice and clean, but if everyone needed to shower (which has never happened while I was there, the showers are not used much from what I have seen) theyd be in a little trouble. They have a filtered water bottle filler and drinking fountain. Also, its a corporate situation which has its pros and cons. None of these things have given me any reason to NOT give this place 5 stars. The first class is free. There is no reason not to at least try it. When you sign up online or over the phone it is very clear that you need to be there 30 minutes prior to class.

Lack of transparency - old school "gotcha" used car sales approach - gym meets timeshare sales mentality. This is how I would sum up my experience with Orange Theory Fitness. My wife recommended that we check out the class but the location was about 25 minutes from where we live. We decided to give it a try because it looked like a unique approach with state of the art facilities. We drove to the location but after running into traffic and having a hard time finding parking (no designated area to park), we only arrived 15 minutes before the class was scheduled to start. This is where it all fell apart...before we could even get in the classroom. OTF offers a free class upfront but they want you to arrive 30 minutes in advance so they can pitch the OTF membership service. The lady at the front desk actually turned us away because we were only 15 minutes early for the class. She said they need time to give us a tour of the facility (that we didnt need) and hook us up to a heart rate monitor. Apparently, they are so inefficient at installing heart monitors that 15 minutes wasnt enough time hook up the monitor to two potential LONGTERM clients. Basically, OTF tries to lure you into the business with a "free class" but not without pitching you on ALL that they offer and trying to get you to sign on the dotted line. They also didnt give us pricing before we left, the lady at the front desk just seemed intent on making us leave. To top it all off, the same lady flatly said we would need to reschedule for another day without even offering to pitch us services/membership after the class (which we would have done). To say the least, it was a complete waste of time. More importantly, this just felt like a shady business deal gone wrong, and they literally turned away clients that were actually in their gym and willing to give them money. Im sure youre workouts are great (well, maybe..we dont actually know because we were turned away), but your business and customer service approach stinks like a gym that hasnt been cleaned since 1998.

I am hooked!!! As someone who considers themselves to be healthy and fit, I can always use a push to do a little more than I think I can. Orange Theory is just what I need to stay motivated & encouraged! The structure of the workout gets you in and out within an hour and youve done your full body workout as well as cardio in one hour. Th fact that you are wearing a heart monitor lets you customize your own work out for your own fitness level. Theres no intimidation, just motivation. The instructors are well versed in form and committed to you getting he most out of your work or safely. The studio is clean and well stocked with amenities. Prices are comparable to other boutique gyms and their app makes it convenient to book classes. Book early as they do fill up- that would be my only "complaint". Love Orange Theory, especially Orange Theory Brighton!

I decided to check out OTF after hearing about it from some friends I have in South Carolina, and I am seriously so happy that I did! Orange Theory is the best 60 minute workout you can find, and trust me, because Ive tried a lot of them! Its a group training class atmosphere with individualized attention. I love that you go at your own pace based on your heart rate, and I secretly love nerd-ing out on all the data I get during and after class about my workout. Im training for my first half marathon, and OTF has been a perfect compliment to my training schedule. My average running pace has significantly decreased since starting at the beginning of the summer, and I completely attribute that to the interval training on the treadmills during each class. Your first class is free, so check it out! You wont regret it!

I am going to respond to the person who got turned away. I am a OTF trainer but at a different facility. We NEED you there because you have forms to fill out. After the forms, all of your information needs to be loaded in the computer for your pod to work. There could be 3 new people in your class this would be done for. Then, the trainer gets 15 minutes with you to go over all the equipment and the class. Yes, I get your annoyance with getting turned away but 15 minutes is not enough time for us to fully do all we have to. It has nothing to do with selling. There is a lot of behind the scenes work that we do. We are extremely good at out jobs and this is the most effective workout around.
