Efficient but theres one worker who is there every day that I avoid like the plague. Hes so miserable and rude that I genuinely hate going to this location. I thought maybe it was just me but my husband has had the same experience every time he goes as well. This past time, we went in to get our son a passport. Once we arrived we discovered passport hours are different than regular hours and we missed the window. My husband walked over to the (miserable) employee to ask him a simple passport related question (mind you, we discovered the hours on a poster hanging up so its not like we bothered this guy before). He had a smug, cocky, arrogant look on his face and answered in a rude tone while giving a little laugh like we were idiots for not knowing the answer. When my husband asked another question just to clarify, he actually gave his head a little shake and laughed. Pardon us for not knowing all there is to know about the postal service. This employee has this same attitude every single time I go there. I try to see the good in everyone and Im always polite but this guy is pushing it. Theres another male employee there thats always helpful, jokes with my daughters, and is pleasant. I bolt for his window as much as possible. I have to go today and Im dreading it. Its always a 50/50 shot.

Today was my third visit to this post office, and I think that gives me experience enough to say they are not knowledgeable about the services and are not pleasant to deal with. The last time here I tried to file a request for refund for an overnight priority package that didnt arrive in time. After "talking to the postmaster" the clerk said I had file it online. The instructions online say you can only fill out a form at a branch. I tried to explain this, but it was futile. I called the USPS 800 number and confirmed they were completely wrong. Today, all I needed to do was drop off a pre-paid package with a label I had printed at home. There are no supplies out for customers (the self adhesive clear bag to put the label in) but the clerk gave me a hard time for not taping it on instead of just giving me a holder. Come on. Twenty minutes in the line and you cant give me a break? Youll just stand there and watch me fumble around trying to get the label stuck on while the line of customers is still out the door? If you only have to buy some stamps and dont mind dealing with an attitude like the "Soup Nazi", go ahead and try it. For me, totally not worth the aggravation. Ill drive the extra two miles and go to the Billerica branch instead.

Went in today to ship out a few packages and paid for shipping in advance online. Showed the shipping labels and the older gentleman at the counter looked at me as if he didnt know people come there to ship stuff. I thought the price I paid online included the envelope to ship in, and was notified it wasnt with a shake of the head and a laugh, even though I went in earlier in the week and was provided a box with the rate I paid. I purchased shipping envelopes and put the items inside. Gave the items to the clerk with the shipping labels, and was alerted that he wouldnt let me use the tape on the desk to adhere the label to the package. Mind you earlier in the week the other clerk was fine with securing a label to the package using USPS tape. Had to drop more money on tape because the guy didnt want to help me, you know - like someone assisting customers would do. Ive had similar experiences with the same guy in the past in this location. Others are much more helpful, but going in and seeing this guy working makes me want to turn around and go right to UPS or FedEx. Bad customer service.

I was finishing up the steps to renew a passport. I had gotten the picture taken at CVS. I was told that the Post Office would cut the photo. The post office worker told me they dont do that and handed me a pair of scissors. I asked for a ruler or some way I could cut it to specifications, he offered no help and told me to move out of the way. Another female worker had the same comments. I found a spot to try to get info on the specific measurements and try to cut the photo accordingly. I then asked another worker, Steve, about next day delivery. He was so helpful and kind and helped me with the photo and mailing of the renewal. Thank goodness for Steve. Chelmsford US Post Office is one I try to avoid due to most of its workers who are unfriendly and rather arrogant. This worker Steve, deserves my compliments on trying to make the post office a friendlier place. Normally, my husband and I travel the extra distance to go to the US Post Office in Carlisle, Ma, as they are friendly, helpful and efficient.

Always a horrible experience. Some of the nastiest, most bitter, cynical, impatient, arrogant postal employees Ive ever had to deal with. I dread having to walk in that building every time and wish Kates Corner accepted debit cards, because I would drive the extra couple miles in a heartbeat if it meant avoiding the toxic atmosphere the intolerable employees of this hole create. How DARE you make them do their jobs, you should be ASHAMED. NEXT! Oh, and then they will, 90% of the time, visibly, literally throw your package somewhere, like a frisbee if its small enough. Basically, their entitlement is incredible in the textbook definition of the word. It boggles the mind how nasty they can be, the condescension is palpable. That said, I went in in the last week or so, and they were slightly less eye-rolly, so maybe they got enough complaints for their nasty attitudes and were told to shape up? I hope so, if I had any other viable option Id take it in a heartbeat, but theyre by far the closest.

The worst Post office experience I ever had. I recently moved to Chelmsford from Beverly (for the Physical Therapy program at Umass) I went to ship a small item with a prepaid label today. I purchased an envelope at the store to put the item in, and the teller told me I needed to purchase an entire roll of tape (none of which under 5 dollars) just to attach the shipping label! At first I thought she was joking, but after a moment of awkwardness, realized she was just lazy or bitter. I get not being able to help people assemble boxes or things of that nature... but to purchase an entire roll of tape, when all I needed is one tiny piece for the pre-paid label? Ridiculous. I went next door to a tanning salon, and they gave me a piece of scotch tape. I went back and shipped the item. I made sure to get a tracking number as i do not trust the competency of these people. I will drive the extra few minutes to Westford next time.

I hoped to have had a great experience when I went to this location. I feel as though these people were seasoned & too comfortable in there environment, they do as they please w/out regarding the customers who are listening to how they conduct professionally. They speak to you as though you are expected to know what to do. They do not respect there work. And I felt as though they were conducting like robots w/ mixed feelings. Like afraid to be friendly yet trying to show no emotion as well. Im sorry if your reading this & possibly thinking I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Ive gone to this location twice now & ive gotten same response. Im having to go there again soon. Only going there out of the convenience of location. They need vibrant, energetic, outgoing new employees! Who actually enjoys their job.
