Today I was at the Maynard Post Office and it was a 40 minute visit. There was only ONE person providing customer service. The line was just about out the door. It is extremely unreasonable to expect a solo staff person to handle passport applications while those who have quick mail needs are required to wait the 10 or more minutes it takes for the post office staff person to deal with passport applications. This post office is dreadful and even though customer service has improved by adding new staff who are smart, and actually provide help, the management obviously is incompetent in scheduling appropriate staffing for the needs of this post office..

This is one of my favorite post offices that Ive been to! Its one of the reasons I love Maynard. Theyre always so nice + have been incredibly helpful with any questions I have. Sometimes the lines back up, but those waiting are kind when waiting in line, which isnt always the case at post offices. It would be nice if they could add the self service ship station but otherwise I always enjoy going here!
