I think people are tough sometimes on Postal Workers in general. While I agree there are a handful that arent always in the best of moods. Its good to take a step back for a second and see what they have to deal with on a daily basis. Lines of people with questions, issues, pick ups, drop offs, etc. And with this particular location its constantly busy with the past closings of other local offices. I doubt there would be many of us that could maintain a upbeat outgoing personality the entire day under that sort of workload. For me, Im please with their service. They handle my shipments and mail in a professional and helpful way for me. And for that, the occasional thank you or smile is not necessary. Just saying people should cut them some slack. I doubt youd be pleased if they were no longer around and you were forced to use another mailing service.

This post office is awful. I have had several instances where packages were not even attempted to be delivered, the delivery person does not even ring the doorbell. When we get a note telling us that we "missed" the delivery, the notes often do not even tell us which post office the packages are at. I have had to call around to determine that this post office is where they are. This past week I have had two packages that were not delivered, and no note was even left in our mailbox telling us we has missed the delivery. I didnt even know we had packages waiting for us until the sender called me to ask if I had received my packages!

I have to write this review because this is the only post office that I actually had a great experience. I shifted to Lowell from a different state and I shipped 2 boxes to my address. I missed the delivery and when I called the post office, THEY PICKED UP THE CALL. They answered me appropriately and delivered the box the next day just like I requested. I had an another issue with address change for mails and again, when I called, they picked up the call and answered my questions. Most of the USPS office I had experience with, will never pickup the call.

Most of the staff here is very very helpful. Unfortunately there are a few extremely cranky employees who tend to ruin it for everyone. One even left a nasty note in my box telling me they were going to start returning my mail! (for no good reason) The postmaster is very nice and always resolves my issues. Once I received an empty package, gave them a description of the contents, and they tracked it down in Boston the following day. I love the post office lockers. They allow me to pick up packages 24x7.

Coming from someone who works in Customer Service and for quite some time now the employees working there should be more polite and courteous. Some are quite rude and talk to people like they cannot comprehend basic English. Also, if there is a language barrier the employees should be coached on how to handle these situations and learn how to better communicate with the customers. From being the customer and a bystander, the Customer Service is NOT adequate or COURTEOUS at ALL.

Workers at this store are ALWAYS RUDE! Not to mention, the hours they actually attend, is NOT the same hours shown on the website. I was just in to renew a passport and the doors were closed. I called to make sure they were closed and took the opportunity to let them know about the hours shown on their website; the guy simply said there was nothing he could do, and that I should go back during business hours and hung up the phone...

What gets to me is how rude the employees are. I say: "thank you" and they say "ok" with an ugly face, if they didnt want to say "youre welcome" then they dont have to say anything at all, it would be less rude that way. All Im saying is that their jobs arent physically demanding. I work at UPS and work many times harder, yet its not hard for me to be polite. Those rude USPS workers make my visits very unpleasant ALL THE TIME!

This is a fairly new building with a 24 hour lobby. It is full service, so you can get a PO Box, mail packages or get a passport. The employees are friendly and efficient. They have machines that let you process your own packages, so you dont have to stand in line or you can mail things when the clerks are not there. A great downtown Lowell resource.

what i like say is how lazy a dilivery person who diliver the package on april 5 -2014 on middlesex st. this person write a note left in the mailbox, rather than goes to ring the door bell . how lazy this person is ! the customer expect to get the package on that day , and the shipper guarantee to deliver package on april 5 2014 , lazy lazy ass .

My grandmother from lowell massachusettes sent me a birthday card in the mail with $50 in it and when i got it in the mail you could tell that the top had been opened by a letter opener and taped back closed. when i opened the card there was no moneyu in it. i suggest people dont send money through this post office. i am very enraged right now.

I am unsure why there are negitive reviews about this post office? They pick up packages for my company, when ever I call they are quick to answer the phone and super polite. Ive worked with a lot of post offices previous and Lowell is the best one! Thank you!

Please please please, if you can use another post office, please dont go to this one. These very rude disgruntled employees will not give you a piece of tape to tape up your postage. Its so sad. They are not even willing to help, and you are paying for it!

I hate how they dont know how to deliver the mail on time. Its been two days since they havent delivered any mail, and Im waiting for my check, hopefully those sucker doesnt take my check because I sure as hell will start a scene!

When I get packages through this post office, the delivery man hardly ever drops the package off. He is too lazy to get out his truck and knock on my door. I end up picking it up at the post office
