This is the first review Ive ever written, but let me tell you, Atlas makes it necessary. To start, we signed up for a monthly cost saver plan to help defer the costs of each oil delivery because who has $800+ every time Atlas deigns to deliver oil? Now, we knew there was a very, very good chance we would be leaving our apartment at the end of our lease term and that our current landlord has no provisions for refund of costs for the oil we leave in the tank when we move out. So when I called to decide what option was best for us, I vetted all of our conversation through that lens. The representative told me directly, all I would need to do is call and have a hold placed on our account to stop the oil deliveries. The only stipulation was there needed to be a half tank of oil already present and if not, theyd top it off, then place the hold until we moved out. Flash forward to today, I call to place said hold, and am told thats absolutely not possible, the best they will do is place a hold at the END OF JUNE if Im moving out THE FIRST WEEK OF AUGUST. Somehow, in their minds, thats a hold of "two months." Is it? Is it really? Or is that actually only one month? Further, who cares? I was LIED to in response to the most direct questions possible. The only alternative I was given besides placing a hold in June, which is a joke and would help in no way whatsoever, is to cancel my account altogether and pay the $399 early termination cost. Theyll delete my account and wont deliver oil from now until the end of our lease, even if we need it because we will no longer have an account. I knew there was a really good chance Id be overpaying on oil if I went with Atlas (see other 15 reviews on that), but I trusted that their customer service and monthly payment plans were worth it. Clearly, I was wrong and I hope everyone else learns from my mistake. GO ELSEWHERE for your oil needs!!

I cant tell you how awful their customer service has been this year. I dont know if its because oil prices are low and they dont want to deliver, but I am in a fixed rate anyway which is a higher rate than what your other customers would be. I am already getting ripped off because they are charging me $3.19/gallon when its way lower - and I know this because my other tenants are $1 lower than I was. AND YES we do own this 3 decker property and would probably go with somebody else after all this neglect of service this year THREE instances I called I called for an oil delivery. They wouldnt deliver because they felt that I had an adequate amount of oil. I had to call a second time out of all three instances before they would come. I was very upset after the first call when they didnt come for a week. They still told me that I had enough oil and I dont need it. While I was VERY low. Second time I called, they gave me the same excuse. They were like I will schedule you for next week because you have plenty to last you until than. But I didnt have enough of course. I called AGAIN because they didnt deliver and they told me that they couldnt get anybody to me because of the snow storm. If they had come when I originally called them they wouldnt have this issue. Lastly I called again they told me I had oil - which I didnt again. I told the landlord. They claim that I have a balance on my account that is why they didnt deliver, which I DID NOT have a balance and found any excuse to get out of talking to my landlord. GO WITH ANOTHER PROVIDER. I pay my bills on time and expect delivery. I requested for a delivery again yesterday lets see how long it will take them this time.

Crooks....I have been a customer for two years. I will say, their service is excellent, they respond extremely quickly to issues or rush deliveries. HOWEVER, be VERY wary of their pricing!!! I do the monthly pay plan with price protection so I pay over 10 months and pay an extra $0.13/gallon to cap myself at $3.89/gallon should prices go crazy. My price is determined by their "market price + 13 cents" on that delivery date. Had my first delivery of the season this week and was charged $3.87/gallon. Looking at the bill I thought that sounded awfully high considering where oil prices are this year compared to the last few years. Upon calling Atlas Glen Mor to inquire as to the high price I was instantly told the price had dropped to $3.77 today so they would honor that price and credit my account. I told them that was still about 70 cents higher than other providers in my area, after being put on hold for a brief minute they came back and lowered it 35 cents/gallon!! How is it that simple? Why as a loyal customer who just re-upped for the year was I getting HOSED at $3.87 and all I had to do was make a phone call to get it reduced by 35 cents/gallon??? Thats just bad business practice with your loyal customer, give us the best rate UP FRONT or I seriously suggest people their business elsewhere!!!!

This company is by far the worst company I have had to deal with yet. There had been several instances where they did not show up to fill our oil tank even after they provided us with a date to do so. We also had called to temporarily stop our bi-weekly oil fills and put us on a will-call basis, which they stated was fine, but then proceeded to close out our account. Another issue we most recently encountered was that we called Atlas Glen-mor to cancel our service because we were switching to natural gas. They stated that there was a $399 early contract termination fee, which we said was fine. When we received our final bill it stated we now owed $499 because there was an additional fee attached for a reason they were unable to tell us. We absolutely refused to pay that additional $100… They also stated that they had all of our conversations recorded stating we would pay the $499, but when we told them that was not true and asked to hear this recording they stated “why? Are you calling me a liar?”. Now, they are sending us bills with late fees. DON’T BOTHER WITH THIS COMPANY!!! We are now going to take them to small claims court to eliminate all debt because of this… It’s all about principal at this point…

I have been an Atlas Glen-mor customer for several years. After being with several other oil companies over the 18+ years I have owned my home and not been completely satisfied for one reason or another, I have been thoroughly pleased with my service and payment options through Atlas Glen-mor. I have received excellent customer service ever time I have called, and even when I would get a call if I forgot to log in and pay my bill on time, I was greeted with nothing but kindness and courteous service reps. When I did not have the total amount due, they suggested I switch to a payment plan for me that would be good for both of us. When I have needed service to my furnace either for regular maintenance, or emergency service, they have always responded in a very timely fashion, and the service techs have always been friendly, and respectful to my home . I highly recommend them and have to many of my friends and neighbors.
