I had a horrible experience with this company. First of all my brother in law referred us here this is the only reason why I decided to call them. I moved to a new home. Sean is the man who came to talk to me about signing up. He seemed like a really nice man and goes on about how he will take care of me. He was very convincing so I signed up. Little did I know it was going to be so costly. First he tells me the size of my house would only require oil to be filled twice a year. But that was a lie. He signed me for automated refills which means they fill whenever that want! My first bills was 632.00 7 weeks later I get a bill of 202.00. I reached out to him because I was fustrated and the next day the kind "man" cursed at me and told me my bill was mailed. He closed my account and told me he doesnt want my business. He then charged me for the free tune up which was offered in the beginning. if you ask me they are crooks!. I never felt so deceived in my life. If Im the customer I have the right to ask questions and want to save money. But I learned my lesson and will do research for a better oil company. Spread the word because this is unfair and cruel. The Sean you speak to the day you sign up wont be the same one the day you want to cancel or question service. Believe me!

I had to pay a bill there for someone leasing a place, and they have not the worst but second worst customer service that I have ever came across anywhere. (or I would have given them a Zero star). The people there not only are rude to customers, but if you have the displeasure of going into their store, you will smell their oil business right as you open the door. Seems that the office staff has dirty feet as the drivers themselves. This place is also higher than others with regards to price. They have the audacity to still serve others with such poor customer service skills these days blows my mind out of the water. They need to have some lessons in customer service. The reason for this is not only one person was rude. Usually if its one person (a billing person or rude secretary), but I spoke to 2 of them who were rude, and one who was adequate at best. 4 other companies I called were all very professional and nice, even the one man business who picked up on his cell phone was 4x more nice than everyone I spoke to at Alvin Hollis. My suggestion is stay as far away as you can. Use this company only if your OUT of oil and they are the LAST ones who are open and your hand is forced.

We have been a customer of Alvin Hollis for over 40 years. They are fantastic! Always here when you need them and their Customer Service is hands down the best! As an example, on 10/7 we needed service on our furnace, which has quite a few years on it and has been kept running beautifully by their team for a long time. The gentleman who came out, his name was Dave, was a consummate professional. He spent quite a long time doing a thorough testing and cleaning procedure as well as checking out our water heater, which was not on his intended "to-do" list. He was very polite and extremely friendly. Not your typical service person. Between that and the customer service folks we deal with who are just as professional and kind, we highly recommend Alvin Hollis to anyone and have done so multiple times in the past. You wont be sorry!

I recently purchased a home that did not have central air. I received quotes from 3 different companies. Not only was Alvin Hollis reasonable in comparison to the other 2 quotes, the amount of time that was spent explaining the system they were recommending went above and beyond. Once I accepted their proposal, it was only a matter of days before the crew arrived to start the job. Every Alvin Hollis technician that was in my home over a 5 day period was outstanding! Polite, personable and unbelievable at cleaning up at the end of each work day.Upon completion, I received all the paperwork I needed to submit to MassSave for my rebates and to apply for the 7 year interest free loan. It required almost no effort on my part. I have already recommended Alvin Hollis to friends. My experience was outstanding!

I needed plumbing work done in my basement. I asked Alvin Hollis to disconnected me from my well water system and then connected my house to the city water system (which had been previously installed but not connected). Alvin Hollis sent a crew of three people out to do the job. After showing them to the basement they went about the work and finished the job in what i consider to be a timely and efficient manner. There was no mess to clean up afterwards. I even offered to buy coffee for the crew which they declined. Just to add to the story, while testing my system to see if the connection was worked, a piece broke off my tub. The last Alvin Hollis worker fixed the tub for an additional fee that i considered to be fair. Good clean work at a fair price.

Been using Alvin Hollis for over 4 years: to update an outdated gas heater and A/C condenser unit and well as scheduled maintenance. When we wanted to replace our heater, we wanted to streamline our heater and hot water tank due to a limited space in our basement. The team there recommended a Condensing Combination Gas Boiler & Water Heater and we couldnt be happier with the small footprint and efficiency. And when we were looking to update our old A/C unit, they came out to assess what needed to be updated and provided details around cost and timing. And in 2 days, I had an updated A/C unit! Overall, their service and support is top-notch and I have never had a issue with them. So glad to have them for my heating and A/C needs!

We could not be happier with Alvin Hollis. They were our oil provider for 3 years, came in the middle of the night once because we did not have heat and stayed until he could fix the problem. Most recently, we converted from oil to gas (sad to leave Alvin Hollis) and they went above and beyond in customer service. Jim Bicknell walked me through every step and always called me back immediately. We had some issues with National Grid and Alvin Hollis reassured us they would come out and hook us up the minute we got word from National Grid. And they sure did, they were so quick to respond and got our heat up and running. Couldnt support/promote a better local company than Alvin Hollis.

Ive used Alvin Hollis now for three different installations. All hydronic heating systems. The latest a radiant system. I met with three other potential vendors and it was clear Alvin Hollis understood the issues with radiant better than anyone. The results were great. The system works great and the installation even looks neat and organized. The technicians were great to work with when I wanted things done a certain way they had no problem accommodating me. I also told Alvin Hollis I wanted to eventually explore adding solar heat to the system and its all ready now if I want to add solar. I highly recommend Alvin Hollis.
