I entered the UPS store after a failed 3am attempt to go on vacation…tired and frustrated. Now I needed to ship our fellow travelers ski gear which we had with us since they were heading to CO from FL and we now couldnt make it out west for another 3 days. I was presented with the expected cost of the overnight shipping from MA to CO which was pricey as expected…I made a phone call to confirm the address and while I was waiting for the return call I was chatting with the staff. When asked about our early AM flight experience and why we were delayed, I finally hit my breaking point and began to cry…not only did the staff of the UPS store politely bring me a tissue, but the owner, Gary, (one of the most friendly, personable and kind sales associates I have ever encountered) apologized for my crazy morning which had nothing to do with him and began to chat with me as I pulled my crying and embarrassed self together! Not only did he quickly and professionally take care of my shipping needs, but more importantly for me his kindness and compassion turned my frustrating and negative morning into a pleasant chat about where we were eventually headed and South Shore life in general. I cannot thank Gary and his staff enough for their patience, kindness and compassion during a crazy morning for me!! I cannot recommend this UPS location enough and will certainly use them again for any shipping needs!! Thank you Gary…enjoy, enjoy the sailboat this summer!

Needed to ship an expensive antique rug to California. I gave my assistant the address, contact info of recipient (very wealthy individual who resides on west coast), a ups label code and the rug. My assistant was rudely told that this UPS store does have the capability to ship to CA if it is the recipient who wishes to pay for shipping. The store owner and employees were openly hostile and unhelpful. They were incapable of fathoming that the owner of the rug wished to pay for shipping either by A) Use of their UPS store account with code provided B) calling the individual and getting a credit card number while my assistant waited. C) use of common sense. This is not a business. I went to the post office in Hingham center. Guess I was not alone in issues with UPS store in Cohasset. I Saw this News story in local paper a few weeks after I posted review. Cops were called in: "Verbal threats at UPS store - Cohasset — August 9, 2011 A 71-year-old Scituate man made verbal threats last week to the owner of the UPS store in Cohasset Plaza when the package he had ordered had not arrived, police said. He was issued a no trespass order..." Wonder what real story is, pretty good guess that when police have to be called the Staff has "issues" with customer service, trust me AVOID.

I Avoided the store as it was terrible to deal with. I had to return ship by UPS and used the store. It is Under new management now and they benkt over backwards to get the job done. I would recommend using them
