I went for an inspection sticker on a Wednesday because they are located close to my office, but I got a red safety rejection sticker because of a cracked taillight cover, although the light still worked! This isnt a stock item but has to be ordered, so I was told they could get a replacement on the following Monday but in the meantime that it would be illegal to drive my car! They said there wasnt anything they could do but reject my car with the red safety violation sticker, but they really should have just told me to get a new plastic cover or else it would fail the inspection instead of stranding me almost 30 miles from my house for half a week! I will never go back to them and suggest everyone be careful before ever getting an inspection there!

Its true you "get what you pay for" in life. Grove Street Auto Repair is no exception to that. If you want cheap, go somewhere else. If you want quality work at a fair price while supporting a local, independent business, go to Grove Street. One of the highest accolades I can give this shop is that I always take my vehicle here and recommend this business to my family and friends. I have experienced many times in the past when Ive had work done elsewhere with recommendations for additional service that Grove Street has educated me on why its not necessary, or at least not now. Cant thank them enough and Im sure Ive saved more money than spent by taking my cars to Grove Street.

Consistently good work at reasonable cost. What can be better than that. 6/18/15: Made last minute call after receiving a reminder that my vehicle needed an inspection. First let me say that I love their policy of sending a reminder. I could look at the sticker and not pick up on the need for action. Second, they took me in with little or no wait. 9/10/15: Beat the local dealers on price and time. Cant ask for more than that. Honestly, other than dates changing their is nothing new re Grove Street, Great personnel (mechanics) plus the nicest people. I have no issues bringing in my vehicles for service.

I stopped in today with a safety issue with my car. I did not have an appointment. Both of my headlights were out. Dan at the desk understood my concerns and had someone look at my car right away. It was not a simple fuse that needed replacing but both headlights themselves. They took care of it while I waited and I was grateful they did because I was a walk in and they were very busy. I highly recommend them for service, not only because of how they handled my issue, but based on others whos cars they were servicing too, it shows that they really care about their customers.

Lets just start by saying that I hate mechanics. Ive had too many half done, expensive hacks performed on my cars in the past. I now do most of the work myself. That being said, Im so excited to FINALLY find a mechanic I can trust. I dropped of the car. They quickly diagnosed the issue it was there for and found another I was planning to get to someday. They called me with a quote and had it fixed in no time. Fast, easy and very reasonable. Looks like I can focus my wrenching time on the toys and leave the daily drivers to Grove St. Thank you guys!

Stay away from those guys,they will try to rip you off.I went there for a state inspection today and they rejected me over a windshield wiper.The guy told me that my windshield wiper "does not work properly" whatever that means.He offer me to change it for $ 30 bucks in order to pass.I refused and he fail me.So I went to a nearest Auto Zone and replaced my windshield wiper for $10.99.I lost one hour of my life dealing with those thieves.

Its tough to find a mechanic to fully trust, but that is exactly what happened with Grove Street. Their pricing is very reasonable and fair, and I never feel like I am "upsold" on any product. They do the work they say they will and they do it well. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, and I have had nothing but good experiences there. I would recommend them to anyone in need of a good mechanic.

Brought my daughters car for an alignment, but the mechanic found other, more serious, problems, so didnt do it. He took the time to explain them to me - even had photos - and gave us some options. Even though I had asked for an alignment and balancing, they only charged me for the time spent looking evaluating the car, and I thought that was very fair and honest.

Great Service again from Grove Street! I call on a busy Friday because i was concerned about something with my car. Grove Street fit me in, fixed the issue and got me back on the road quickly! Im so glad that I discovered them last year. I wont take my car anywhere else!

Easy to set up an appointment. Arrived for the appointment a bit early, but they took my car for service right away. After a relatively short wait, my car was ready. Very cooperative and customer oriented service staff. Will go there again for my auto service.
