Pete, #1760, was called out to my residence on a Sunday. Thinking it would be a quick fix to unclog the main pipe he was here for about 2 1/2 hours. The issue was that there were a lot of roots in the pipe. He was great! He explained in detail what needed to be done to resolve the issue. Since it was such an old pipe the tools that were needed to resolve the issue could not get into the pipe because of the way the pipes were designed in the old days. Pete was extremely professional and empathetic. When you are not able to use the water, shower or the toilet you realize you cant really be living in a house without it. I knew I was not being taken advantage of like with some companies, they try to advise you things are needed to be done just to make a profit. Pete came back out again and made sure everything was all set to move forward with the replacement. Damian, #1613, was the individual who came out to replace the pipe. He was great as well. He was very professional and explain what was going to be done in detail. I didnt realize how much went into replacing a "simple" pipe. Damian was very patient and took his time to complete the job. Some seem to rush and want to hurry up and get to their next appointment they have. There was no mess and if there was you would have never known. Damian even cleaned up a pile of dirt and glass I had in a corner of the basement. Now that is great customer service! Thank you Damian! What a great team Pete and Damian are. With their great personalities and professionalism they are both an asset to Roto-Rooter. I wish there were more companies that had employees like them who take their job seriously and are considerate to their customers. I deal with customers on a daily basis. When you are representing a company you work for, it is extremely important to make sure that the customer is completely satisfied with the service you are providing them. Dealing with customers face to face is more difficult. Pete and Damian are great employees and they should be recognized for the great job they did. I would recommend this company to anyone! Positive words about the service you received from a company goes a long way. Thank you Pete and Damian!!!

My husband and I purchased our first home less about one year ago and started experiencing some trouble with our septic tank early on. This winter things got really bad and we had to make an emergency call to Roto-Rooter for the first time due to an overflowing shower and toilet. Damian S. (TA #1613) came out and what a pleasure it was to work with him. He not only cared about fixing the problem, but was also patient and kind enough to explain how everything worked and what the next steps would be for us. Due to the old nature of the pipes we were dealing with, we were forced to invest a little more to have the pipes replaced, and we specifically requested Damian for the job several weeks later. When it came time to replace the pipes, he was extremely professional, on-time, honored his quote, and once again he made us feel like he truly cared about our system and our concerns. Its been a few days now that the job has been completed and we couldnt be happier! Thank you Roto-Rooter, and a huge thanks to Damian (TA #1613), for the pleasant experience. We wont use anyone else but you guys in the future!

They were late which they did give me a heads up about but that is not the main reason for such low rating. Thing is the money they charge is absolutely outrageous $600 for a fridge water line replacement - give me a break! Its not replacing all pipes in the house and I had the parts myself already. Also the installation was not exactly how I had wanted because the plumber just didnt want to go an extra mile, he just said you can have your husband put in the filter at some point, so I dont get filtered water in my fridge any more. That is the level of service you get for $600! The saddest part is that I got another estimate from a local plumber that same day after they left for a third of the price and filter included - dont know how they set their prices, certainly not based on the hours spent. I imagine as a chain they have a big overhead to feed. My advice would be - go with your local plumber and dont let them take advantage of the urgency of your plumbing needs!

Scheduled for a plumber to come take a look at my basement drainage pipes as we think its clogged. Someone was supposed to come between 9-11am, but the plumber didnt come until noon. I was hoping to take just a couple hours off from work, but ended having to take the day off. I did not like that. What a waste of waiting half a day for the guy to come. should have scheduled him from 3-5pm so that at least I could have just left work early. So lesson learned there! When the plumber came, he was very nice and helpful. He gave me a $500 quote and was able to do the work in an hour and a half. By the time he was done, it was almost 2pm. Overall, it was a good experience, though I thought $500 was a little expensive but I could not afford to take another day off from work just to potentially save a hundred bucks or so. If it wasnt for the long wait and it being a bit more expensive than I was hoping, I would have given them 5 stars.

Stephen H. was amazing! He was personable, professional and on time. He diagnosed and fixed the problem immediately. He also gave me very helpful information as to how to minimize or avoid clogging of my garbage disposal, as well as advice on my dishwasher drainage. He also advised me as to how to keep my entire system healthier (e.g. dont use disposable wipes). He guided me through what he was going to do and how much it was going to cost, as well as informed me of the guarantee for the work. Lastly, he was incredibly neat with all his work, putting down protection and dusting things off into garbage. He would be welcome in my house anytime - knowledgable, clean, friendly, efficient with a clear understanding of home systems beyond my garbage disposal!

I discovered what looked like a waterfall in the basement and thought "uh oh". Thinking it was a backed up line, I called Roto-Rooter and from the first contact, everything went well, ending with an awesome repair. Dispatch was on the job, answered all my questions and kept me up to date on when the technician would arrive. It wasnt a backed up line but a 4 foot long cracked pipe. Mike, diagnosed the problem, fixed it, tidied up, and gave excellent counsel on leaving the "chase" open until it was clear it wouldnt leak. He was cheerful and pleasant, worked until 7:00pm, saw the job through to conclusion. Its nerve wracking when something big goes wrong with plumbing but Roto-Rooter stepped up to the challenge.
