Recently I needed to move some furniture across town and was not able to get a moving company on short notice, in fact when I said that the move was in Dorchester one mover told me they would not come to Dorchester. I came across Expert moving in Norwell, and I spoke with the owner Glenn who was extremely polite and helpful. I was told that they were heavily booked but they could squeeze me in on Sunday. I didnt think movers worked on Sunday but they did, and they were right on time as well which is important to me. Matt and Chris showed up on time and was able to move everything with care as well as the furniture from a garage in one location to my basement in another, they also moved a 125 gallon fish tank and stand. I dont think I could get a better set of guys and moving company than this one, NOT a single scratch on anything especially a glass fish tank that weighs a good 250-300 pounds. I will use this company again as well as referring them because they were so professional, friendly, careful and on time. Thank You, Glenn, Chris and Matt you guys did a GREAT job for me. J. King

I have used Expert Moving and Storage every time I have needed a moving company (4 times) and I would not go anywhere else. I used them to move from Somerville to Weymouth, from Weymouth to Rockland, and from Rockland to Dorchester. I recently called them up because I bought new furniture and couldnt get it to fit up the stairs to the second floor.. . they came within 15 minutes and they were done in less than a half hour! If it seems like something is impossible to fit (as I did with both my couches) theyll find a way. The guys that helped me have always been super professional and courteous.. They always show up on time and move my entire apartment quicker than I thought possible. I have moved into apartments on small one way streets/busy streets in Boston and they never have had an issue. They always go the extra mile to make sure my furniture is taken care of /wrapped and safe during the move. They are noticeably careful with everything so I wasnt worried about anything getting damaged. I would and have recommended this company to my friends and family !

This is the first review for any service that I have written. I have moved numerous times with professional movers...this was not at all the experience that the owner committed to and certainly did not live up to their name. At my insistence, the manager came to our home and gave me an estimate of a 1 day move. The move took twice as long as Vinny said it would, thus cost me twice as much (and we did not even move everything that was supposed to be move given how long we were at it) I called Vinny, the manager, on Monday and asked that he have the owner call me. I called a second time as well. I called a third time….. I am not sure if he ever passed along the messages, but I never received a call. I felt bad for the team (great guys) that was on site that day as they were clearly not expecting to work a 12 plus hour day. With so many options available for professional movers, I would suggest that you choose another company.

We used this company twice in 2 years for complete local moves within the same town. First move was fine. The second move, exactly 1/4 mile, a truck full of furniture and 20-30 cartons of mostly china, crystal and fragile items, all marked as such, and unfortunately packed by us. They have you sign the disclaimer on the paperwork as they tell you they never break anything. I guess we must have been the first! 6 Limoges Opaline black tulip charger plates and an antique cut glass bowl with a hammered coin silver handle (not replaceable), all smashed to pieces. Everything else from the move completely fine. It is obvious, someone dropped this box. However, they stick by the disclaimer on the paperwork. If we had them pack everything in order to insure coverage; it would have certainly increased the cost of the move by at least 2 days, 3 people or about $2,500.00. Be aware!

Glenn and Vinny set up my move with a crew of the most easy going helpful and hardworking guys Ive ever met. The crew expertly moved me from my apartment in Hanover to a storage unit in Hanover and then from the storage unit to my new home down in Plymouth several months later. They took wonderful care of packing all my belongings safely and then unpacking everything again for me. They patiently relocated all my furniture even when I changed my mind as to where items needed to go. I would never use another moving company. This team clearly loves what they do as evidenced by their efficiency and dedication to every detail. I would recommend Expert Moving to all my family and friends. I know exactly who I will call when I make my next move. Thank you guys for taking the stress away from a difficult time for me.

If there was a Quality choice of "Do Not Use" I would have clicked it. Used to be called Glenns Moving and Storage. Just check on that name in the BBB and itll confirm the horror story these clowns are. Had the unfortunate experience of Glenn/Expert moving me from just one town to another back in 2007. When they got the truck to our new house, they demanded to be paid in full or they wouldnt complete the move. Then took off on use leaving the refrigerator in the garage and taking my entire toolset, which was still on the truck. We had damaged and scratched items and Glenn was very unhelpful in resolving the matter. Well never use again and encourage those looking to move to pass on these guys.

Do not use these creeps!!! They lied! overcharged me! and demanded Cash on the spot! which was thousands of dollars before they finished and held my furniture ransom, threatening to stop and leave if I didnt pay, exactly what a previous review said. Glenn is a creep! Some of the mover guys were nice and worked hard, but Pete, the guy in charge of my move was demanding and threatening. Their price went up by the minute! I am reporting them to the Attorney Generals office. Using them was the worst decision I have made in a long time!Go to anyone else but these guys. They are complete rip offs! I would love to put them out of business. I have NEVER had an experience like this in my life!!!

Thank you Expert Moving & Storage for saving the day! My roommate and I called Expert Moving as an emergency after realizing the couch we just purchased would not fit up the stairs of our triple decker in Dorchester. The moving crew showed up at our place within a half hour and easily lifted the couch up over the balcony and into our living room within minutes! I was thoroughly impressed and very appreciative of how responsive and professional our service was. I will definitely use this company again when needed and I recommend Expert Moving & Storage to anyone in need of a great moving service!

I recently accepted a new job in the Boston area; I previously lived in Framingham, and felt that the commute from Framingham to Boston would be too long. So I found an apartment in East Boston, and needed a moving company. My friends have previously used Expert Moving for their move, so I decided to go with them; my friends had nothing but good things to say about this company. Like my friends, I had a great experience with this moving company; they were on time, polite, and efficient. I would definitely use this company, and recommend them to my friends and family.
