I have been using Top Auto for 2 vehicles now. 2001 Subaru, and recently, a 2005 Audi. They are: Honest, Efficient, and will perform repairs accordng to the customers needs. You need to pass inspection, they will perform the work to get you pass inspection, and not charge you for what you dont need. Chase and his crew specializes in day to day vehicle repairs. For the mundane stuff, they are very very cheap, and get the job done. Last few times, for repairing a broken undercarriage cover plate, and replacing brake fluid. They charged me maybe $10 total for the fluid, despite putting my car up on a lift and everything. William, who Chase introduced me to, and works out of the same shop, specializes in German vehicles. He gave my newly purchased used vehicle a thorough visual inspection, and provided me tips on maintenance. He is willing to work with the warranty insurance, and is a good bet for the German cars. Overall, cant say enough nice things about the place. They are good and honest folks.

Our car was having a few problems that needed to get fixed. We had been procrastinating getting it fixed for a while due to our budget restrictions. Since we are new to the area we didnt know of any places so I searched online and found Top Auto. When I showed up at Top Auto the place didnt seem like much but as soon as I started talking to them I was astonished by their knowledge and efficiency. Even before I told him what my issues were he knew exactly what needed to be done. Im not very knowledgable when it comes to cars but at Top Auto I felt like I was learning. He showed me exactly what the problems were and told me what my options were. They looked at my car immediately and within 15 minutes I knew what needed to be done and how much it would cost. What blew me away was that the repairs were way less than I thought that they would be. Every thing was fixed by the end of the day and our car has been running great ever since. Take your car in for an estimate. You will not regret it.

I drive a 97 Ford Crown Vic, I have been to six different shops regarding a persistent engine light issue. One shop told me to replace my catalytic converter (Cost $395) but the light still stayed on. Then I was told to change my oxygen sensor ($249) at another shop, then a week later my light came back on. Next I went to Mohammeds Auto Repair in Dorchester, he told me to replace my engine! and that he had it in stock! After all the places i went to now this guy is asking me to change my entire engine??? yea Right.. Not happening! Finally I found a place in Revere off 1A called Top Auto. Went right in, they got an Evap engine code after they put the Computer in my O.B.D II port under my dashboard. Turned out all i need was a gas cap which only cost me $11.95. Problem SOLVED!! NO MORE ENGINE LIGHT HIP HIP HOORAY for TOP AUTO in REVERE!

Lower control arm on my 2000 Protege needed replacing. I bought the part with the intention of doing the job myself but ran into a few issues. Every other shop I called gave me a hard time because I had already purchased the part and quoted me over $300 to replace. Called Top Auto and they were the most fair, honest people I had talked to. Ended up paying only 1 hour labor for $75. Will definitely visit this shop again for any future repair needs. UPDATE: Visited Top Auto again today to repair a broken exhaust. Could not be happier. Tiffany quoted me $95 for the repair. When the job ended up being more complicated and taking more time than originally anticipated she still honored her original price. Cant beat it. Theyve earned a loyal customer for life. I love this place.

I own a 2006 4-matic Mercedes that I maintained exceptionally well for the last seven years . When my service engine light came on, I immediately took it to Mercedes Benz of Boston, Herb Chambers, who quoted me a repair of $9000.00. I decided to get a second opinion and took it to Top Auto of Revere, at a friends suggestion. Top Auto assessed the situation and not only did they repair the car for half of what Herb Chambers quoted but they checked all other mechanics of my car to make sure everything was working correctly! I highly recommend Top Auto to anyone who wants to be assured of being treated fairly by an auto mechanic. I would take my car to Top Auto for future repairs and suggest anyone reading do the same! I had been in an accident and had to get my car towed near by. Given the reviews I decided to come here. This was a mistake. First clue was that the owner didnt want to get the insurance company involved. Luckily I did and they found a lot of damage that was "looked over". They overcharged my two wheels that needed replacing by almost 3 times as much. They also claimed they performed 15 hours of work on the car, which my insurance company claimed was outrageous and that amount of work would have required my car to have been totalled. They didnt do work that was clearly stated on the insurance claim and now I am paying to get it done over again. Save yourself money and do not come here for mechanical issues.

I would give them minus 5 if i could. I went there after a collision and i had a very bad taste in my mouth. The mechanic assigned to look into my car seemed like he was forced to work and kept mumbling in his native language all the time. No communication at all !! He wouldnt even speak or explain the issue. After what seemed like a quick diagnose. The manager told me that i had a bent lower control arm and bad ball joints. The only problem was that the price was 3 times was it was supposed to be . After negotiating i ended paying less only to discover after 2 months that the mechanic job wasnt fixed and that he missed a lot of other stuff that had to be fixed... wouldnt recommed this shop to anyone!!

Jason is awesome! I spoke to him over the phone about bringing a car in for a pre-purchase inspection and was quoted a price that was much lower than what other places were charging. The convenience of location and hours led me to the shop. I was initially concerned that the price might be indicator that they wouldnt do a comprehensive check. Boy was I wrong! I was so impressed with the level of service, the thoroughness, and the honesty of his work. He took the time to point things out/explain things to me, give tips on what to look for. The service exceeded my expectations, and for that Im really grateful! He definitely tries to protect you as the consumer. Thank you, Jason!

On September 21st, I was having issues with my 07 Cadillac, specifically the transmission wouldnt shift, stuck in low gear. The RPM was very very high. Went to the dealership only to be told it would be a $3995 transmission replacement cost. Before deciding to scrap it, i decided to bring it over to Top Auto. I spoke to the manager, John Ford, about the issue. He plugged his computer under my dash, free of charge, to figure out what was causing the issue. He diagnosed that my input speed sensor was defective. Total parts and labor cost $149. Car back to tip top shape. 100% highly recommended!
