We hired JM Home Repair in Rockland on 7/25/16 to remodel and update a living room and babys room. Having a baby on the way, we needed the work done well but quickly. I found Jim using Google and checking his reviews. After contacting Jim, we had a walk through of the home to address our expectations and time frame of the project. Jim is very thorough and made sure we were happy with his ideas for the room remodels. Jim provided us with a contract that laid out the scope of the work in detail and payment structure which we appreciated. Jim was able to start the job within a week of our 1st meeting which made us extremely happy. When you hire JM Home Repair it isnt some employee doing the work. Jim himself does it all and is there every day to ensure the work is done to his standards. The man is talented, extremely professional, courteous, and respectful of ones home. We used a lock-box system and trusted Jim in the house the entire time. My wife is pregnant and we were concerned about dust and dirt during demo. Jim took this into account and every day the rooms were cleaned and vacuumed. You could only tell construction was going on by observing his quick progress. The rooms came out better than we expected thanks to Jims attention to detail. The wife is happy that the babys room is complete on time and I cant thank Jim enough. If you need work done by a contractor who shows up on time, does the work discussed in a contract and is extremely professional and detail oriented hire Jim owner of JM Home Repair. Jim is THE man! We got quotes from a few places for a bunch of things we needed done around the house. Jim was the most clear on price, timeline and work needed. I knew immediately he was the man for the job when we wanted certain things done that would have cost more on our end and he explained in detail positives and negatives of our choices. No up selling or just doing what the customer says, but straight forward honesty on his professional opinion (which in the end likely saved us money and lots of time!). He built us a custom gate and not only does it look amazing, but its sturdy and carefully planned out to last a long a time. We already got a ton of compliments on it! He fixed, cleaned and installed a few new gutters that are amazing and make the house look so much better. We needed patches to walls in the interior and exterior of our house and you can not even tell any work was done. All the work Jim completed was done EXTREMELY well and professionally. He is meticulous and efficient, and SOMEHOW even left our home cleaner that it was when he came. On top of all this, hes a solid genuine guy and takes pride in his work. Look no further- Jim is the man.

When our house needed some ceiling/wall/paint restoration, Jim listened to all of our requests and needs and completed all of the work on time to our complete satisfaction. Most importantly, Jim was honest and straightforward in all our dealings and never worried about the little stuff that came up along the way. I called Jim to come and clean our gutters and I couldnt be happier with the service we received. Jim was able to make time for us the very same day I called and within two hours, our gutters were clean. Since we had just purchased the home, he took the time to take me around the house, point out where the clogs were and make me aware of potential problem areas. The price was reasonable and aligned with what my research suggested. Jim also came back a few days later to add a down spout that was missing. Again, he was responsive, the price was reasonable and the job was very well done. I cant say enough great things about the service we received. I plan on using him again and would happily recommend him to anyone looking for gutter or home repair service.

We had Jim to our house a couple of months ago to do some work on the interior. We had recently had the skylights in our living room removed due to some leaking and water damage. Post mold-remediation, the ceiling had two large open holes that needed to be closed, walls that needed to be patched, and paintwork to be done. Jim did excellent work in restoring our ceiling and walls to a natural-looking state, and the ceiling texture work blends right in with the original surrounding texture. The paint on the walls and ceiling both came out excellent and, as someone who always notices shoddy cut-ins and trim work, I have absolutely NO complaints. We were truly happy with Jims work and would both have him back to our home as well as recommend him to friends.

What can we say? We recently hired Jim to do a lot of interior and exterior painting, trim repair, gutter repair, deck installation, installing interior and exterior doors, tile work, plaster work, etc... He was, without a doubt, absolutely the best home improvement contractor weve ever used: Honest; fair; hard-working; prompt; detail-oriented; a skilled, knowledgeable craftsman; polite; he cleaned-up his work area every day; an excellent communicator; and reasonably priced. My wife and I are so pleased with the results and would absolutely recommend him to anyone!

I would highly recommend JM Home Repair Services. We moved (in Nov 15) into a home that needed some painting and minor repairs. Jims painting is superb! He is meticulous about his painting as well as his cleanup. There was never any evidence (except for a freshly painted room) that there was any painting going on. He repaired some doors, as well as replacing our screen door, fixed broken kitchen drawers etc. He showed up on time every day that was scheduled. We are very pleased with the job he did and would use him again should the need arise.
