Edit: I stand by my original review, however I want to update it to reflect that Petersen Plumbing reached out to me and sent me a refund of the charge for the quote without being asked or asking anything in return. Im raising my star rating purely due to that. Original Review: Just a warning on what feels like a scam. I had Peterson Plumbing come out to give me a quote on a shower/tub install (everything existing already removed, just install a new shower/tub). First, they charged $72 to just come out, which was already highly unusual and should have been a warning I suppose, however I paid it due to them being a long term business. They came out on time and seemed professional, however they later sent me a quote (wouldnt do it in person) of $4500 for a 4 piece fiberglass shower/tub (~$300 at Jerrys) only roughed in (leaving all trim work and finishing to me)! Absolute insanity! The 3 other plumbing contractor quotes I got were all around $2500 for the same thing, plus one handiman for $800. I ended up doing it myself for ~$700 total including the shower/tub and tool purchases. I would strongly suggest avoiding this company and instead going with another reputable one that doesnt charge for a quote and doesnt charge double the average...

-EDIT- They called me the next day and informed me that what the plummer said was wrong, and what I was told over the phone was right. They will credit me the remaining time (they said around 38 mins) towards the hookup of the new sink. I changed my rating from a 1 to a 4 -End Edit They lied to me over the phone. I had to have my sink disconnected and reconnected for a countertop install. They said over the phone they would charge me 129 for an hour worth of work no matter how long it takes, and that they will add the time between both connecting and disconnecting. NOPE. Not only did they miss-scheduled my call, when the gentlemen did come, he took 5 mins disconnecting the sink, turned and looked me in the eye and said it would be 129. When I brought up the return visit he said that would be another 129. I told him about the conversation I had over the phone and he responded "She should not have said that, I talked to her about that before". I did not feel like fighting over the price, as they already lost my trust so I just paid the 129 and be done with it. BEWARE! Crazy stupid prices for little amount of work.

I have never contacted this company before, but after last week I would highly recommend them for quality work & attention to detail. What I assumed would be a simple plumbing issue turned into something far more complex. It was expensive but far less than it could have been. They walked us through a complicated plumbing situation. They were understanding & very knowlegable about helping find the source of our plumbing issues and even recommend companies for necessary next steps. We have paid less for plumbers over the years & they occasionally fix the problem, but generally show very little care beyond the task at hand & arent always successful... but sometimes you just get what you pay for... We will use Petersen Plumbing again. Thank you James, Ken, Bernard, Kurt, & Walter. You seem to care about your customers & it shows in your work. We will call again.

The plumbers who Ive dealt with from Petersen have seemed genuine, knowledgeable, and caring. I have an odd sewer setup with a basement bathroom that uses a floating switch to pump sewage out of a plastic holding tank up to street level. They helped to replace that switch which was a very dirty job as it basically floats in a big bucket of raw sewage. Yikes! And then the switch broke a couple months after it was installed, not their fault, it was a bad switch. So they had to do it again and only charged me a fraction of the actual cost. The guy who came also spent a lot of time looking at my basement pipes and suggested some alternate ways to route the piping so that it could improve the system and bypass the need for that yucky float switch. Point is, they seemed to take the time to check out my specific needs rather than just doing bare minimum.

I cannot say enough positive things about Petersen plumbing. After receiving an estimate from roto-rooter to fix a pipe which has burst in our bedroom wall we were in absolute shock at the amount it was going to cost to repair. Roto-rooter said it was a significant job and that the repairs would not be easy estimating the cost between 500-800 dollars depending on how many hours it took. We decided to get a second opinion and Petersen plumbing fixed the problem in 20 minutes and charged us 129 dollars. THANK YOU SO MUCH, PETERSON PLUMBING! We really appreciate you guys not taking advantage of your customers.

Petersen Plumbing, a great local find and highly recommended! Office staff friendly & professional in every way worked with me to get me on the schedule for immediate kitchen/water faucet problem while waiting to hear from my out-of-the-country landlord. Greg showed up quickly on Saturday morn & was knowledgeable and thorough with advice on how to take care of future issues. What we often think is too much $$ for a quick fix, we quickly learn becomes a life-time of valuable information well worth $$ spent. Thanks, Petersen

Petersens was my go to plumbing partner and they assisted me in several urgent situations. The plumbers are prompt, polite and willing to discuss the project in easy to understand terminology. The recent increase in prices, even a estimate, has rose dramatically. That and not receiving requested call backs from the business office manager has made me turn to other plumbers in my area.

Greg and Mike arrived when they were supposed to. The office communicated very well with me. I had two problems with a pump in my basement and the solutions were not obvious. They fixed the problems with some creative solutions and were very concerned with making sure the problems were fixed to my satisfaction. I would highly recommend them to others and will use them in the future.

Top of the line service. Holiday weekend, big football day and these guys were working. We live in a rural area and our spring filter bulb busted. Without delay, Peterson Plumbing went on a search to find the part needed to repair our filter. They were the only company to return messages during our emergency. Peterson Plumbing saved the day!

Ive used this company several times and the plumbers whove come out have always done excellent work and been very professional. The owners on the other hand make excuses for not completing bids, dont follow through on what theyve promised, and dont seem to really care so I wont be using them again.

If you need a routine check on your toilet, definitely look elsewhere to get better pricing. They charged me $170 to change my flapper and fill valve, which took about 15 minutes. I should have just watched a 10 minute YouTube clip, bought the $25 in parts at the hardware store, and done it myself.

Greg came out & I wanted to replace toilet. He showed me that it was just a lifter that was bad. Saved me $. Still working fine It has been 18 months now. He and Bernard have come to my home for years, and I have always been pleased. You get what you pay for....they are both efficient.
