Salem Autobody is a model of how every shop should operate. Have you ever been rear ended. I got hit from behind in July and while I wasnt effected by the accident my car sure was. I put things off as long as possible and ignored the fact that my car wasnt driving like it normally does. My insurance company sent out a third party estimator who valued the damage at close to $800 because the bumped was pretty mangled. Scott Lupo took my car in and upon further review realized that there was more damage to the frame itself (why my care was driving strange). He then called me to let me know he would be contacting my insurance company in order to get more money. It worked. While it may seem like bad news to find out your car is in even worse shape than you thought, its an equally good feeling to know that your auto body is up front with you and that they are going to do the leg work to get more money for you in order to fix the damage. I got my car back a few days later and everything looked brand new on the outside. I was pretty happy... then I got into my car. I am a bit of a work a holic and I essentially live out of my car. In fact, when I brought my car in, I should have cleaned it better than I did. Regardless, my cars interior was cleaner than the day I originally bought it. All of my belongings in the trunk were organized for me! The vehicle itself smelled amazing... and then I drove it. It felt like the first time I drove it. If you have been in an accident and want the best service possible go to Salem Auto Body. Ive been in the car business for more than six years and I can say that the customer service and even more so the execution on their behalf is exceptional. Dont trust me, find out for yourself.

Just had some minor body work done. I dropped the car off on a Wednesday, they said it would be done by the following Tuesday at the latest. I called Tuesday and left a message and no one returned my call. I called Wednesday and was told it wasnt done and to call back Thursday. I called on Thursday and they said it would be done by 4:30. I went down at 5 to pick up my car and it wasnt done. They never tried to call and tell me it wasnt done, they just waited until I got there. They then told me to come back Friday afternoon. Luckily Friday it was actually done, but while driving home I discovered that my cds were missing out of my cd player. I called and told them and they said they would ask their guys about it on Saturday. I called back Saturday and was told that no one took them and that his guys "dont own cars, they are poor and dont have cd players." They are completely unprofessional and a bunch of lying thieves. They also took out my daughters car seat and reinstalled it improperly. Good thing I noticed it before she was in my car. I will NEVER go back to them for anything ever.

Its not everyday that you find a business that does great work and treats their customers like family. The staff here do just that. I think the shop is a family business thats been passed down through the generations, and you can totally feel that energy as soon as you walk into their office. I got work done to my car before trading it in, and the trade estimate went up $2K after Salem Auto Body worked on it. They even detailed the inside! I was sold after that and convinced my sister to drive up from Dorchester to get her car done there as well If youre look for an auto body shop that 1) does what they say theyll do, 2) charges you what they say theyll charge you and 3) takes pride in treating customers well - this is your spot.

Went down there to have Mr. Lupo attach a front quarter panel that I already had and reattach a bumper (which takes any autobody place about 20 minutes). I dropped the car off on Wednesday morning, still hadnt received a quote by Wednesday afternoon. Got the runaround thursday, called friday morning, got told he hadnt even looked at the car and to call back in the afternoon. When I called in the afternoon, he still hadnt looked at the car and walked outside while on the phone and quoted me five times what all other autobody places had quoted me. definitely wouldnt recommend doing business with this place unless you just want to get the runaround and then raked over the coals by a gambling addict pill head.

Jeff and his team are truly the best auto body shop experts in this area.... actually in the world! Thats a big statement to make but honestly thats how I felt about my experience. Jeffs prices are the best around. I am promoting his bumper special just to get my personal friends in there. I was truly struck when I went to pickup my car this morning. It was absolutely beautiful! He did such a great job. It actually looked better then when I bought it. 2015 Buick lacrosse. I highly recommend Salem auto body to anyone regardless of what needs to be done with your vehicle. Thank you very much Jeff!! Youre the best!!!

I gave Scott Lupo a shot despite his checkered past & was incredibly disappointed. Car took excessively long to fix despite making the appointment before actually dropping it off to the point where I had to pay for a rental. When all was said & done, the panels did not line-up at all correctly & the hood latch sensor was not fixed so the car didnt beep when you locked it anymore. I couldnt have the car down another day so I never got the issues addressed & just traded it in. If I need work done in the future, it will not be here despite the good reviews I read at the time.

I just had the guys at Salem Auto body paint one of my customer motorcycles. Motorcycle parts are intricate and take much more attention to detail, due to their size, surface, and the fact that they are visible at many different angles. Jason produced a flawless paint job, he knew exactly what was needed from the prep work to the finished product. I have finally found a reliable body shop to serve my motorcycle clients needs. Recently had a great experience at Salem Auto Body! Not only did they fix the damage from my accident, but they also took care of all the small scratches and dents from nearly 10 years of ownership and cleaned it from top to bottom. My Mini now looks brand new! Customer service was great too. The work took a little longer than expected, but everyone was super-nice and understanding. The finishing touch was a cute little care package. Love it!

I am the coach of a brand new rowing team on the north shore and Salem Auto Body did a wonderful job painting our oars!! I came in looking for advice and expecting to do the job myself, but Scott Lupo went out of his way to help our start-up crew and paint the oars at no cost. They do excellent work and are passionate about helping out in the community. I will definitely be back next time I need any work done!
