Today (Friday) I went back to this place and they failed me again. I went a year ago and remember being completely displeased. I dont remember why I vowed never to go back,(i think they were late with my order) but today I went because I need something this weekend and my regular dry cleaner closes at 6. I called Somerville Cleaner just before 6 to see if they were open still and found out theyre open until 7. "Great, can I pick it up Saturday or Sunday?" They are closed Sunday but they are open 8-5 Saturday and I can pick it up then. Also, great. When I arrive there at 6:45, they say that I cant pick it up tomorrow (saturday) because their delivery guys already came. I think most drycleaners dont do 24 hr turnaround, and maybe these guys would have pulled it off if I got the clothes there at 6, before the delivery guys came, but this was not mentioned. What angers me and the reason I am writing this is, if they had been honest, I could have kept calling around until I found someone who could honor my request. Instead, now I am writing this and not having my drycleaning done because everyone near me is closed now that it is after 7. I give them two stars because I did challenge them a little with the quick turnaround request, so I dont know if its appropriate to give them a 1. But they are liars!

Several months ago I dropped off a shirt and recieved it back with a large tear in the elbow. While not denying that this took place while being dry cleaned, they informed me that this was MY FAULT for dropping off a shirt with a "weak elbow". I asked for a replacement of the shirt, and was given a $20 store credit instead. OK, so they made a mistake. They were very nice about it, and did try to patch it (unsuccessfully). I didnt go for a while, then because it is right down the street, I dropped off some more shirts. Might as well use up my store credit, right? And what are the chances of it happening twice? I just got my shirts back and they are dirty - some even have small black spots. It doesnt look like they were even cleaned, just pressed or steamed. I have used this dry cleaner for several years, and they used to be much better. I think there is new ownership, and while they are really nice people, the job they are doing is completely unacceptable. I wont ever walk in there again.

Ive been using this dry cleaner for 1 1/2 years now. He is a very friendly man and does wonderful work. I trust him with all my clothing and he even cleaned my wedding dress and removed some stains. If I feel something isnt right, I just point it out to him and he fixes it. No complaints!

I drop off my work clothes here for dry cleaning at least once a month and have never had a problem. Everything has been ready on time! Based on my experience with them I wouldnt hesitate to drop off more expensive items for cleaning.
