I have a really bad and a very good experience with Roto Rooter. I will start with the negative points first which led to my star rating above. Roto Rooter promised on Sunday evening at 8:30 pm that they will send someone within 2 hours to clean our sewer. Since no one showed up by 11pm, we called them again and they said it will take another 2 hours. We asked them can they come tomorrow morning. They said they will send a person as soon as there is availability after 8am and thats the earliest in the morning - talk about 24/7 service. At around 9:30 am a guy showed up and he was kind of rude - at least had a very different style of communicating. He was in and out in 45 minutes and charged us $392 for the service. We happily used the bathroom to find out the next day that the water started overflowing in the basement again. This time since we were sure there was no jam in the pipe, we didnt pay attention and our basement was flooded with sewage water. We were so upset...just cannot describe. We called the Roto rooter guys again and they said they will send someone in the next 2 hours. I also called the town and they sent 5 trucks in approx. 10 minutes. They checked and told there is nothing wrong in the town line. This time the Roto Rooter sent some other guy. He was very polite and did a great job. He deserves a 5 star rating. If you are in the area and have an option to choose a guy who can come choose Joe. He was very well-mannered and did a fabulous job. He cleaned the drain, cleaned the area and was here for almost 3 hours. They didnt charge us the second time because it was covered in the contract. I really want to give a good rating just because of Joe but then overall we had a bad experience.

I cannot even give enough stars - Gary (Tech 777) was absolutely amazing. We have had the HARDEST time getting a plumber to install a propane conversion kit and hook up our new clothes dryer. We went through 3 plumbers before calling Roto Rooter on a whim! We expected nothing to be honest (no offense). When Gary came he assessed the job, gave a quote, and we accepted and told him to move forward. As he got into the job, he experienced what the other 3 plumbers did, namely that LGs instructions were inaccurate. However, instead of giving up as the others did, he took initiative, called LG, worked with them over the phone - TAUGHT THEM SOME THINGS about their own product and how to disassemble it, and figured much of it out on his own. He did a FABULOUS job. By following their wrong instructions, he inadvertently scratched the machine - I thought he was going to jump off of a bridge, he felt so badly. He did a job that 3 other plumbers couldnt do, did it EXTREMELY well, all with a very pleasant attitude, was extremely personable, and helped LG update their instructions. Roto Rooter and Gary knocked off some of the time from our bill due to the scratch. Talk about customer service. We are sorry we EVER doubted roto rooter and would request Gary again in a heartbeat. Gary if you get to read this THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!! You took a horrible experience we were going through and saved the day and we finally have clean laundry again :) Amazing service!!!!!! I noticed my toilet & shower drains draining very slowly on a Monday morning. I requested an appointment online for between 11am-1pm. I was contacted very quickly by a Roto Rooter rep, who said a tech was on the way and would arrive in less than an hour. Joe was very professional and after assessing the situation, explained what would probably need to be done and what it would cost. He got to work immediately and kept me updated during the day with his progress. He worked ALL day (with the exception of lunchtime when he told me he was leaving and when he would return). After almost 6 hours of work, he reviewed with me what he had done (cleared my drains) and explained that I should probably have him come back the next day to ensure the pipe between my house & my septic tank should probably be snaked also. I trusted his experience and opinion, and had him come back on Tuesday at the time we agreed on. He came back, snaked the line and went over everything with me before leaving. I would not hesitate to use Roto Rooter again and would probably request Joe if I needed help again. All in all it was a positive experience. Thank you!

Prompt, meticulous, professional. I have used many plumbers over the years and since using roto-rooter will never use any other company again. What one company changed just for replacing a flange, the cost of plumbing I had was less. Once again LESS! Flange took 20 mins max and roto-rooter employer was here for approximately 6 hours and add on travel to get special parts. While here he also noticed toilet needed a gasket. Toilet had been leaking as I could hear over the months. Other company ignored and not do anything about it. I had two outside faucets replaced and brought up to code, pipe that leaked replaced, new shut offs and Mike opened wall and placed a cover where turnoff was once inside wall and unable to get assess to. I feel the only ones that have a complaint are those that have not shopped around and had to experience other companies because you will not find the A+ service that is provided by Roto-rooter. I have now had them a few times for my home and a rental property and A+ consistency every time. EVERY time. Carol V

My main septic drain to the street was completely blocked. i called Roto-rooter late on a Friday evening, they came out right away. The service i received was top notch. The tech that came out that evening was unable to unblock the drain. The Tech was very professional and helpful. He arranged for a team with larger and more ]powerful equipment to come out first thing the following morning. The Tech Tom 1222 and his trainee assistant who arrived the following morning was 30 years experienced, very professional and aimed for 100% customer satisfaction and achieved his promise. Tom was friendly, informative and very professional at all times from start to finish. When the team left, the site was clean and in full working condition. i would fully recommend this company and its employees to everyone who needs their services. All three Techs that I met were nothing short of excellent. The appointment desk was very helpful, professional and kept me informed regarding tech schedules and arrival time during the entire service process.

Just bought a condo. was there for barely a month and the kitchen sink clogged. Tried everything from a plumber, to a snake to "guaranteed to work" liquid drain solution. No luck. Thats when I said: "who do you call"????? Of course, "ROTO ROOTER" THATS THE NAME, AND ALL YOUR TROUBLES GO DOWN THE DRAIN"!!!!!! Great comercial when I was a kid. Never forgot it. And thank God! It took a while because they had were at another job and got tied up. BUT, at least had the decency to keep calling to give updates of when the ETA would be. And what a nice guy. That pipe was clogged quite a bit and some distance from the sink.But, he kept at it and was successful in the end. Even apologized for the wait. Moral of the story is: Never hesitate to trust the Roto Rooter man to get the job done, but, dont trust any sellers that tell you they never had a problem with anything while living there. Drains don.t clog that bad in one month thats occupied for less than 5 days. Now my troubles are all down the drain!!!!
