BEST in Ann Arbor! I rarely write reviews, but in this instance, it is something that needs to be done. My husband and I have been bringing our cars here for a few years and I have to say that the service cant be beat. Jerry, as well as everyone else here, have been absolutely fantastic to us. They are extremely honest and take care of their customers. I was recently involved in a minor accident and the body shop that repaired my vehicle stated that my ball joints were in such bad shape that my steering couldnt be realigned (even though it was aligned before the accident). I brought my vehicle here and asked them to replace the ball joints and align (I wasnt going to drive around with a steering wheel that was turned at a 90degree angle!) When I picked it up they had me drive the vehicle and it drove great - alignment was perfect! Come to find out, they were able to align it for me without replacing the ball joints and told me that they were close to replacement, but not quite horrible yet and to bring it back in for replacement in a few months. And the most amazing part? They did it all without charging me a dime. These guys are amazingly fantastic, honest, and really take care of their customers. Theyre not going to charge you for something that you dont need and you arent going to be hit with a surprise bill when you pick up your vehicle. I would recommend them to anyone. Dont take your chances with anyone else.. go to the best place in Ann Arbor the first time - you (and your wallet) will be glad you did!

I have been to this garage maybe 5-6 times. I started coming here at the recommendation of a co-worker. The first experiences were fine. I had some routine maintenance done, and they helped out with an issue with my exhaust. The service advisers seem ok. Not super friendly, but not absolute jerks either. I am mostly dissatisfied with my latest experience. My suspension on my 1999 Corolla was having issues and I had them look at it. They were going to replace 2 rear struts and their estimate was over $1100. I was insulted by this ridiculous estimate! They were more than 100% more than a couple other places I called. One shop estimated $560 (in Ypsi) and the other was $460 (in Toledo). I dont know how they can sleep at night knowing how much they are ripping people off! On top of everything they charged my $22 dollars to pick up my car. Maybe this is standard protocol, but it just left a bad taste in my mouth after being shocked by the crazy amount of the estimate. Sometimes you can get good deals with coupons here, but just beware of occasional extremely high estimates.

BEWARE.. The manager Jerry is a complete JERK. I had a flat tire on a sunday morning and parked my truck in their lot. Since they are closed on sunday I had intended on being there first thing monday morning to have them repair or replace the tire. Later that sunday I came back to my truck after work to make sure it was secure. The truck was gone... Jerry had it towed away. $225.00 dollars later I got my truck back. On monday morning I went to see Jerry to ask why the vehicle was towed. He was rude, obnoxious and the most classless person I have ever tried to do business with. He basically told me he didnt have to offer any explanation or reasoning for his decision to have my vehicle towed. After words were exchanged he picked up the phone to call the police and told them he had an unruly customer. STAY AWAY from this dealer at all cost. P.S. I have also reached out to BRIDGESTONE/FIRESTONE corporate office to tell them about my experience. I will keep you posted.

Great experience recently (September 2009) at the Firestone on Huron. Dropped my 2002 Dodge Caravan off on a busy Saturday, but they still took my car and promised to have it done by Monday morning (theyre closed on Sundays). I needed at least one new tire, and when I asked the price, Mark quoted me $85, yet when I checked my bill, the tires cost only $70. Thats because he was quoting me the the -actual- cost, including labor, and for this Im immensely thankful. No more being disappointed (and shocked!) when picking up my car--there are no hidden fees at this Firestone. Also, the price for tires was better than Belle Tire and Costco. I called early Monday morning (they open at 7am) to pick up my van, and Jerry recognized my voice and had my key waiting for me upon arrival. Ive been in there before to ask questions--not pay for repairs--and Jerry has always been kind and forthcoming with information. I cant recommend this Firestone branch enough.

Had the brakes repaired on my 13 year old van in order to get it ready to tow a trailer. Even though the mechanic made a few suggestions, he must have just charged me for them and never done the work because the brake lines burst at one of the first stoplights I hit while towing that trailer. Luckily we hadnt even gotten onto the highway and can only imagine what could have happened. Well now the car is stranded, unsafe and worth nothing (would you pay more than a few hundred for a car without working brakes?). But Firestone Complete Auto Care wont cover the towing costs to get it to the shop for "repair" or even reimburse for neglectful work. When a professional says youre safe and youve paid big $$ for it, you expect to be safe, right? BOTTOM LINE: take your chances with this place and if something goes wrong, dont expect any help.

Ive taken my car there several times over the last few years and every time theyve been upfront and honest about the cost. They also let you know what you need to fix immediately and what is fine for now. The most recent time I went there they came in exactly at what they quoted, which included parts as well as labor. A week later my check engine light came on and I couldnt figure out what it was (I had checked the fuel cap), so I called them back to schedule a repair. They remembered that I had been there the week before so they told me just to bring it by and theyd have a quick look. Brought it the next day and one of the guys (I think it was Jerry) took a quick look with no appointment and at no cost (the fuel cap just wasnt sealing right, there was some gunk on it). In summary, a great repair shop to take your car to.

Ive purchased many tires here and had them service my cars for years. Their prices are competitive and they always completed the work on time. Twice theyve diagnosed work - at no charge - that was covered by manufacturers warranty and referred me back to the dealer (where I had the repairs completed for free). Once I referred a U of M student to them. Her car was dead and wouldnt start. She had it towed to Firestone. They deduced that it was a problem with the black box. They disconnected the battery and let it sit for a few hours. The box must have reset and the car started right up. They didnt charge her, not one dime! Later her dad, from Grand Rapids, called me to tell me about their experience. He was grateful and pleasantly surprised that they didnt take advantage of student from out of town.
