Like many others, I feel it would be better to leave no stars. Twice in two weeks the mail carrier has refused to carry and leave large (but not over 50 lbs- 1 was 38lbs and the other pretty close to that. I am able to lift both of these on my own) packages on my doorstep. For the second package they even falsely reported to the tracking system that the package was "left in the mailbox," when in fact it was not delivered at all. They also did not leave any sort of notice, either time, of attempted delivery to inform me that I needed to pick it up or schedule redelivery, etc. I had to CALL the post office both times, multiple phone calls for the first package, to find out where my packages were, and have them tell me that I -the person who has no delivery truck or dolly cart- have to come pick up these large packages. In my small car. So very, very frustrated. I order things online so that I dont have to run extra errands with my littles in tow, not so that I can get some unprofessional runaround from lazy people who refuse to do their job. After I had already called about the first package three times and a week after it was supposedly attempted, I finally received a paper notice slip in the mailbox. I picked it up myself, carried it in my arms to and from my car, and no one paid me to do it. For the most recent package I have to get a babysitter, remove the kids carseats, and fold down my backseat so that I can go pick up yet another thing that was supposed to be delivered to me by people being paid to do so. In spite of all that I feel that the worst offense is lying to the tracking system, saying that the package was delivered when it was not, and not leaving notification of what I need to do to get my package. The supervisor I spoke to on the phone also claimed there was a glitch yesterday, leading to my package being marked as delivered, and asked me to call back again later because there was a chance that it went back out for delivery today. I refused and said I wanted to know for sure where it was, and guess what, he looked again and it was there in the post office. This glitch also still doesnt explain the lack of the attempted delivery paper slip in my mailbox. Very, very poorly done, USPS.

I am a senior sitizen and I have been using this post office for 12 years. Only two or three times during those years have I been treated friendly and what is more important was not given clear instructions on how to proceed. Last time on June 11th the counter clerk Cherrie completely failed to do her duty: 1. She didint intruct me on how to send a package to Italy 2. When I filled out the required form for the International shipping and packed the box, she sent me back to put the address on the box. 3. I wrote the address, stood again in the line and when she looked, she said that the form was wrong. 4. I filled out a new form she gave me, stood again in the line and when she looked at my box, she asked: "Will you tape it?". Usually they taped the boxes with special tapes for me and I was very surprised to hear that. "We dont do that, she said" , "Do you have a tape?" I didnt. She suggested that I should buy one. I spent about 50 minutes at the post office stood in the line for 3 times and that was more than I could handle. The only thing that I could say was " Words fail". I was very stressed and immediately went to UPS store, where I was treated politely. The clerk was also very helpful. It also turned out that the form that Cherrie gave me was the wrong one. The one that I picked up myself and filled out at the beginning was correct. In the future I will never come back to that post office and will use private postal services. Nina.

I would compliment Patish for his exceptional service. I have been going to the Green Road Post Office for over 15 years. He always has a smile on his face and displays an exceptional customer service and friendly outreach to his customers. My recent experience with my passport application was outstanding and far above what I would have expected. After dealing with one individual from the Green Road Post Office in processing this application, the application was returned to my address for many errors. This one postal customer service representation took not time to assist my wife and I and submitted the application without completing the requirements necessary by the postal office. It was returned within a few days pointing out the errors. In returning to the Post Office, Patish provided an exceptional amount of personal service and ensured that all steps and bee properly completed. He did it with a smile and in a friendly way. I left the Green Road Postal Office feeling extremely pleased with his service. I would hope that his manager takes a moment to thank him again for me and my wife. James J. Krolik Madelaine L. Krolik

I wish I could just give them 0 stars. My husband and I agree with the other bad reviews.. the service is terrible, the employees are rude"mainly directed to a guy named JEFF!!!... I think you need to fire this man asap, I would never say someone deserves to be fired over a bad day but this guy treats customers with terrible disrespect. I would rather drive over to the ypsilanti post office where they have good service.. although we rather not do that since we live only down the street from the green rd one. They are beyond rude at the green rd post office. To many stories to tell from each time going in there but seriously get rid of the ones who just dont want to be there.. mainly the one, others could be more friendly too but not bad enough to say they should be fired, just warnings possibly.. the other people are getting better from when I first started going there.. but Jeff he needs to go. He has thrown my package on numerous occasions.. why? I have no idea but that sort of thing should not be happening.

They are absolutely the worst post office I have been to and thats saying a lot given the poor quality of service in general at the post office of late. I run a mail order business and have been there unfortunately on multiple occasions - one of their counter people refused to wait on me; another screamed at my son when he wanted to exchange a stamp, and overall I believe there is a strong current of anti-semitism running through many of the staff. I have complained to management and asked for them to follow up with me on several occasions and they have never followed up with me once. Rotten from top to bottom. In reading the other reviews, yes Jeff was one of the people who was exceptionally rude. Most counter people and management I have dealt with there should be canned. Oh, yes, the advice b another reviewer about never making eye contact and trying not to interact with them is solid gold - they perceive friendlness as weakness and behave even worse if you attempt to be pleasant.
