I had box dye in my hair and I was looking for a subtle balayge, so I was recommended by a friend to go to Marlee and this salon because I was told she was good with color. Keep in mind, I have not box dyed my hair in a year so there would be two colors when bleaching the hair; which I understood. I had my appt set for Friday, but I received a call Thursday morning asking if I could re-schedule as she would no longer be in on Friday. I arrived and showed her a picture of the subtle look I was looking for. She did mention that box dye would look brassy, which was okay with me since I had about 6 inches of non dyed hair. Once it was all done and dried I was shown a piece of my hair from the side(not the entire results that include the back of my head) and it was two different colors. I agreed to receiving toner in an attempt to make the two colors blend. I left the salon and went home like the normal. Once I was able to see the entire results of my hair, you could see how bad it was. The base of my head which had not been dyed, had thick strips of just blonde hair and the other side of my hair did not! So Friday I called in the morning and asked to come in and try to fix it/speed up the next step. I explained to them that it looked really bad and how I couldnt believe they would let someone walk out of their salon with completely two different tones of hair.I told them I did not want to wait until 2 weeks like I originally had booked my next appt. The girl reluctantly said I could some in for a consultation on Tuesday and so I agreed to it. However, I could not wear my hair down due to the fact that it looked so terrible so I went to a salon in Novi on Monday where they immediately addressed my issues and showed me how the amount of highlights/balayge wasnt evenly distributed throughout my hair. I called them today and I was told by the manager that since I didnt follow their policy and go back with them to get it fixed, that no refund could be done. Mind you, I was never aware of their policy and what it entailed. I was under the impression that the owner is all about customer service from word of mouth, but it is apparent that not even for their clients that are in a scenario like this, will they offer a refund of $80. It was great that they offered a new client discount but I dont think even $80 was worth what I paid. Im not sure if my stylist was just ready to go home or what, but I would not recommend this place and Ill be sure to tell everyone I know in the Canton area to go elsewhere.

I first came to Indigo a few years ago when my stylist took a position here. I thought I loved the place she was at before, but then I came to indigo. The entire atmosphere at Indigo Salon & Spa is warm and welcoming. The staff all great you and make sure you are happy with ALL of your services. The salon uses Loreal Professional products and their quality makes all the difference in your hair. I was at first intimidating by the higher price tag, but after trying it at home I realized there was a difference. I am loyal to my Loreal Professional and Matrix products now. My stylist, Marlo, makes sure to ask exactly what I’m wanting/feeling and suggests things that will compliment my individual skin tones, face shape, etc. Her skills are unmatched and her ability to make my visions a reality is amazing. I always trust Marlo to just “do whatever you think will look best” and I’m never disappointed. Even my husband gets his hair cut here and is much happier than when he was getting his $8 haircuts from the place in the mall. In addition to having my hair cut, colored and styled here, I also get waxed here. My favorite esthetician is Dani. She takes time to explain everything and makes you feel completely comfortable trying new things. I originally started going to Dani for bikini waxes and she suggested trying a Brazilian. Although I was nervous I was glad I took her advice and continued to go to her for Brazilians. Her skills and technique make the process as painless as possible and she always makes sure you’re doing okay between strips. The environment is soothing and relaxing and the equipment is all properly cared for and sanitized. No double dipping here and Dani always followed sanitary procedures. Overall, the price tag can be intimidating at Indigo, but all of their stylists and estheticians are highly skilled and extremely qualified. They offer different levels of experience and expertise which also are reflected in the price of the services, but you can be guaranteed you’ll get a product you love no matter what!

I received a very poor coloring service here. I tried to contact the staff about fixing it but got no response. This is the email I sent expressing my opinion - I visited the salon the other day excited to experience the excellent quality of service your salon is known for. I came in hoping for the bayalage effect, brought pictures and was very specific that I was not interested in stripey highlights. However, when I arrived I learned my 2 pm appointment had been canceled inexplicably and I had to wait another half an hour to be seen. My stylist, Angela, was very sweet but we definetly were not on the same page with the color I wanted. I received a great cut, but instead of the slight "ombré" look I wanted, I went home with blonde stripes. The pictures I showed had none of this so I dont know where she got this idea. In the light of the salon the hair looked okay, but as soon as I was in natural light the two tones were obviously not blending. This was very frustrating because I spent 200 dollars on this hairstyle and am a college student who cannot afford to spend this much on a bad product. I called later that evening asking if we could fix this somehow, but got no response. I am now being forced to go to another salon to fix it and spend even more money that I dont have. I had really high hopes for Indigo but am unfortunately rather unhappy with the result. I splurge on very few things now days and because of this I will probably be spending around 300 dollars for hair further away from the result I wanted than before I came in. I even attached photographs of what I showed the stylist and then the finished product to make it extremely obvious that something was not done correctly. I was hoping a new hairstyle would brighten me up and get me out of a winter slump but I am now more stressed about the entire situation.

Ive been coming to this salon for years, and have been nothing but impressed with the impeccable service that I have received all the way from the receptionists to the technicians. Even though I come here regularly, they still treat every visit like its my first. They are very welcoming. Ive been seeing the same stylist, Angela, for a couple years now and I wanted to try something different. I heard of the ombre technique and have seen it on several celebrities, but was very nervous to try it on myself. I brought in pictures and collectively we decided on what we were going to do with my hair. It turned out amazing! I couldnt have been happier with the results. I HIGHLY recommend Angela and Indigo for ANY services. I have tried almost every service here, and do not have a single complaint. I love every person that I come in contact with there. Its also very nice that there is always a manager there making sure that you are comfortable, and offering you a beverage or anything else you may need. I just think its very personable that not only do the receptionists serve you, but a manager is also there to make sure your experience is exceptional. They have my life time loyalty!
