I had a haircut with Emily a while back, and it was my first time at your salon, so I didnt expect perfection. However, I told Emily it had been several months since my last haircut, and I needed quite a bit of hair cut off. She seemed very hesitant to do this,, even though i reasurred her about how I wanted ir. She did listen to my other concerns and took a good amount of time with me, but overall, my hair was still way too long and hard to style after I left. I called to ask about having it corrected, which apparently is no charge (nice), but when I said it needed an overall re-do, I was told I would be charged the normal rate and it would be at least two weeks to get another appointment! I did get a partial correction, but it still wasnt right, so I have moved on.... Additionally, I like the atmosphere of the salon with the wood floors and rustic decorations. But the waiting area is very uncomfortable, with the sofas very low for someone as tall as me. I had to sit on the arm of it, so I could stand up without a lot of difficulty.!! And...I didnt even recognize her when I went in the second time, because her hair was dyed some type of odd color...it was kind of unsettling to say the least. Ant then there was the non-stop sales pitch for products I didnt need or want... Overall, I would not recommend this salon after my experience. Sorry!

I felt a little uneasy after I read good review mentioning someone else putting in bad review but there were no bad reviews - meaning they are not honest and get rid of bad reviews making them look better that what they are. I had big hopes and the staff was very nice, but my hair cut is by far one of the worst Ive ever had. Cant wait for it to grow back so I can get it fixed. My hair is very thin so nice layering can go a long way to puff them but what I got was uneven, chopped off hair almost looks like I went to the mirror and did it myself. I feel like a little mouse with no hair, nothing like the old picture of me I showed I wanted it like. Even when I leave any salon I normally have my hair all buffed and dont wanna wash it so I dont ruin it - this is the first time I left salon feeling like I just waked out of work after long day and I need a wash.

It was my first time to the salon and instead of introducing herself to me, my hairdresser asked how I was going to pay. I let her know that I was growing my hair out and wanted to keep it one length (no layers) and a face frame. She game me very short layers... shorter in the back and longer in the front. I got exactly opposite of what I asked for My hair was only dried on top and I could feel the damp hair on my neck when I left. Such a lazy job. And so much product was used it looked and felt very dirty She left in the middle of blowdrying my hair to talk with her next client. I was early to my appointment I am very disappointed by the way I was treated and am very unhappy with my hair. Not something I expected when I booked with a senior stylist.

I called for a haircut and wanted to get in quickly as I had an event that weekend - thrilled with the service and results! Melissa was available - due only to a cancellation (lucky me!) - she took time to talk about what I wanted - and then cut and styled my hair perfectly - The test is always "Can I make it look this good tomorrow, all by myself??" And YES! now its a week later, and my haircut is still great, easy to style and falls just right. Salon is clean, relaxing and the service was wonderful. I had been a customer >10 yrs ago - but Ill be back regularly now. Pricing is not out of line with any other good salons - Highly recommended!! -

I had my hair cut by Rachel last week. That was my first experience at Legato, which was GREAT. She spent half an hour to talk about my hair, and the best style that works on my hair. She also introduced me some products to make my hair more straight. I just used it once, I should wait for couple of months to see if it works on my hair. I know it might not work! : ) I found this hair salon after reading other costumers comments. Although when I choose this salon I was not sure, if it is the one, I am not that kind of person who just trust to the reviews. Anyway I am happy with my decision.

I feel so very pampered when I go to Salon Legato. Late in December, I went to Rachel for a haircut and told her of my Moms recent death. Typical Rachel, she warmly and lovingly consoled me. After my perfect cut and blowdry, I asked how I could achieve the look for the upcoming wake. She said "come in Friday morning and Ill do it." Not only did she do my hair, but did my makeup as well. Ive never had anyone do my hair or makeup before - what a wonderful feeling. Every staff person Ive met at Salon Legato is so very warm and friendly. Fan for life!

I love Salon Legato in downtown Farmington and have been a customer for almost 10 years. Nicole is an awesome stylist and does wonderful color! The owner, Diane, cuts my hair and is always very sweet and precise in her skills. This salon is the one for you if you want personalized service, friendly people (even other stylists who only know me by face) and a very good outcome. Love this salon and hope they stay around a long time!! Thanks Diane to you and your great staff! Keep up the hard work because we do appreciate all of you!

Ive been going to salon lagatos in farmington since I moved back in june of 2015. Overall a great welcoming experince, offering you a refreshment upon arrivial. Therefore making you comfortable and relaxed. Secondly greatful to have experienced professional, Malinda as my stylist. Always look forward to my next appointment to see what we wanna do with my hair cut, and having great chats throughout each visit. Definitaly would recommend if you are from local Farmington - Farmington Hills, Mi.

Salon Legato is great. I originally found it after a really bad experience with a salon that was closer to my home. Now it is my regular place since the stylists are so great. Ive had my hair every length between my shoulders and a pixie cut and its always looked great after a visit. They even tell you that if you have any issues with a style that you can just give them a call and theyll trim it up if necessary. I can say that Ive never had to come back for a touch up.

It has been 2 years since I cut my hair, and my first time coming here, I was extremely pleased and excited about the cut I recieved and the amount of time and care my hair stylist Aimee put into my hair. My hair was long and was able to donate about 12 inches, this salon made the whole process easy and cannot wait to go back for my touch ups on my cut. I forgot how much I loved my hair short! I would recommend this place to anyone! Very nice atmosphere (:
