Just rented a storage locker for my mom (needed short term storage because she sold her house and her new place is not ready) and property manager David Mays was super nice and helpful. He cares about providing the customer with what they actually need for their situation and was just the most friendly, nice person to deal with. He tells you up front what the fees are and when rent is due, it is very easy to understand what and when you will be paying. The Ferndale location is super clean and smelled great, I did not see dirt anywhere and it seems very secure. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for clean, safe storage.

Worst storage unit company I ever had to deal with, there website is lies to you about the units(also has some online vs in-store rate malarkey), all of there carts dont work properly, elevators doors close way to fast & the wait takes for ever. Most importantly is there grimy nature, after missing my first months payment they said I can pay online and use autodebit. but they failed to mention that when you sign up for autodebit you can nolonger make payments and charged me late fees for a month and refused to waive the fees b/c i didnt call to inform them of a problem I didnt no i had.

Had a wonderful experience with the Ferndale MI Simply Self Storage facility this past weekend!!! The staff were/are SO wonderful and considerate. Went ABOVE and BEYOND their routine day-to-day duties to assist me with my downsize/move-out. They have ALWAYS been there when I needed help and have always looked out for me as a customer. I have been with them now for over eight years and during that time I have NEVER once had a complaint or issue with them (staff) or services. This is my second time using this storage center in two years. The facility is safe, secure, and clean. Staff are polite and will assist you anytime. There are carts available and large elevators to haul your belongings. I love this place. Its not far from the city and its open Sundays as well.

This place has a rat issue. Major problem with bugs and rats. You can see the traps in the elevators. When I moved all my stuff out it was covered in tons of rat droppings. Awful place. Plus if you leave and have a credit, they will not refund your money. Stay away from this racket.
