I cannot say enough about John Armstead and his team of professionals!!! I own a 2003 Silverado Crew with a Duramax diesel. Last summer I wore out another set of tires towing my fifth wheel trailer, all under a 1000 miles. Being frustrated with misleading information from other repair facilities in my area, I called John at Armstead on a Saturday where he was more than willing to hear me vent. John recommended that I bring my truck and my fifth wheel trailer into his shop so he could look at the complete rig. So Monday I was on his door step, with truck and trailer. John and his son, Ben jumped right into action. They advised me of so many things that were improperly setup on my truck, that its a wonder I could even keep the truck on the road, let alone keep tires on it. John instructed Ben to check the truck out for any worn parts. He then looked at me and advised me that I am going to need a airbag system to offset some of the trailer weight and to keep the nose of the truck down. A short while later Ben called and advised me that the front end was completely out of specifications and he would need the air bag system installed before he could properly align my truck, both with the trailer and without... thats right, with the trailer hooked to my truck! The next day the air bags had been installed and Ben begun the front end alignment, both the truck itself and with the trailer. Once done, Ben walked me through what air pressure I should have in the air bags with and without the trailer. He further explained that it will keep my caster, camber and toe inline with the settings he set during the alignment. I have since put more than 5000 miles on my truck and the tires look like the day I purchased them, a far cry from the 1000 miles I got out of the last set before they were ruined. To add, the truck rides and drives so much better! I cant thank Ben enough! I highly recommend John and his team at every chance I get. We all know how stressful it is when you have car troubles and need roadside assistance. Last night was one of those nights for me, and I could not have been any more pleased with the help I received. While at work, my car wouldnt start and a co-worker tried to jump my battery. It didnt work, so I thought it was a starter or alternator problem and was going to need a tow. My roadside assistance company contacted Armstead Automotive for me. The representative from my insurance company gave me a quote time of 40 minutes, but the driver, Caleb, was actually much closer to my location and arrived in less than 15 minutes. He gave me a phone call to let me know he would be arriving shortly. Once he arrived he asked me to run down what had happened, and he suspected that it was probably a battery problem and suggested we try jumping it one more time before loading it onto his truck, as his vehicle had more juice than the average car. It turns out my battery was dead, and I didnt actually need a tow. Caleb was able to jump the battery very quickly. He gave me his card for any future problems I may have, and asked if I needed anything else. I told him I needed to get gas before I went home and asked if it would be OK to turn the car off to do so. He offered to follow me to the gas station to make sure I got there safely. After I filled my tank he gave me a friendly honk and drove away. I wanted to publicly give your company and specifically Caleb the credit you so very much deserve. As Ive already said, its always upsetting to run into car troubles, but its particularly distressing as a young woman in a dark parking lot with very little automotive knowledge. It was a great comfort to feel safe, secure, and to be treated with so much respect. Thank you for the great service! I will be keeping your card in my wallet for any future assistance I may need.

Once again Matt & John at Armstead Auto have out done them selves! I have been going to Armstead for over nearly 3 years now and I have never looked back. Matt & John first and foremost are polite, friendly, sincere and HONEST! They actually listen to what you have to say and unlike most other companies they are happy to recommend products and services that make sense for you and your vehicle. But whats more important than that they actually take the time to explain whats going on with your car and will be upfront with what you "have to do" and what "you can wait on". I have always been on a first name basis with both John & Matt and they are just all around good guys who take a sense of pride in them selves and their line of specialty. This you do not often find in the auto repair industry, instead you seem to get to get to some dealership that has a million things that went wrong with your car and a million and a half ideas to fix it for some insane cost all the while leaving your car for a few days. I have never had to leave my car for more than an afternoon (EVER!) and unlike the Local Ford dealership in Fenton. Also I get a warranty on all work I have done that is 3 TIMES AS LONG and I can guarantee that your repairs will be SO MUCH LESS EXPENSIVE!!!. Its really refreshing to walk into a place and just know that you are going to get taken care of properly and if you decide not to get something done or add additional services you will be treated exactly the same..... Like a real person!!!! If you have never gone to Armstead before I would truly recommend you stop in to say hello to John & Matt and let them take a look at your vehicles. New to town.... wanted to keep my dollar local. 2008 Yukon Denali rear breaks after market... ceramic pads.... $477.98 they were kind enough for 15 dollars to replace an air filter that 200 miles previous Penzoil did... Called Patsi Lou ( who i reconed would be the highest price in the area ) service.... 340.00 for the same work ( no air filter .... it wasnt needed ) $472 if i wanted Genuine GM.. After checking part status Armstead would match the genuine gm price . Welcome to the neighborhood. A $ 177.00 difference in quote cost them thousands of dollars of future repairs. BTW anyone know an Honest mechanic in Holly ? UPDATE>>>>>> a week later went to a Holly Mechanic on Saginaw road..... the 472 .00 dollar breaks that Armstead quoted cost me 269.00 out the door. a 250 dollar transmission filter quote cost amazingly 125 american dollars. still didnt need an air filter. beware. Told them i was new to town ...... Must of been keyword for take advantage of. Good to know who the lousy neighbors are

MY ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE INSURANCE CONNECTED ME WITH ARMSTEAD AUTOMOTIVE FOR TOWING TODAY. MY MINI COOPER, WHICH I AM VERY FOND OF HAD TO BE TOWED TO A MINI DEALERSHIP IN ANN ARBOR. KYLE, THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER, REPRESENTED YOUR COMPANY IN A FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER. HE WAS VERY INFORMATIVE. KYLE WAS VERY CAREFUL NOT TO DAMAGE MY CAR WITH CHAINS. I FELT VERY CONFIDENT THAT MY CAR IS BEING TOWED SAFELY. KYLE DID NOT NEGLECT TO MENTION THAT ARMSTEAD COULD ALSO WORK ON MY MINI FOR NON WARRANTY WORK. I WANTED TO GIVE KYLE A TIP TO BUY HIS LUNCH BECAUSE HE WAS SO KIND BUT, I HAD NO CASH IN MY HOUSE. NONE! SO IF SOMEONE WITH A LITTLE EXTRA MONEY COULD BY KYLE LUNCH, I WOULD APPRECIATE IT!
