Went downstairs on late Monday afternoon to a partial flooded basement. Saw water trickling down the hot water heater. Called Swick. Austin said he could have a team there early 8:00 Tuesday morning. Jerry and Silas arrived promptly. Jerry was able to identify the problem, the water heater purchased from Swick finally succumbed to 22 years of service. Jerry offered to replace the heater as soon as possible. I said I wanted to check other sources first. On Wednesday I called Austin back and said I wanted to go with Swick however I was concerned about their quote as I had received lower quotes from other sources. Austin called me back and adjusted their quote. I said go ahead, their schedule only allowed a Friday morning installation. I said okay was pleased that they had lowered their quote and would be willing to wait. Got a call early Thursday morning from Austin saying Jerry & his team could leave right now to install the new heater, if that would work for me. Well, yeess!!!!! Jerry and his team were here within 30 minutes and he had the new heater installed, working and hauled the old heater out within two hours. Wow, what a team. Thank you Swick for all your assistance, (just a side note, husband was out of the country and unable to communicate with me)

We had them come out due to a leaking water heater. Initially they came out quickly and replaced the old heater with a new heater. We were initially happy with the service so we decided to have them repair another issue. That us where our problems with Swick started. First off they had to cancel the repair 2 times, when the plumber finally showed up to fix the repair, once it was fixed "he found a leak" and fixed the leak. Thinking everything was fine we finally checked just too see, and found the repair was still leaking, and the plumber had left standing water where our Christmas decorations were. Oh and our new water Hester is leaking and has ruined our cedar walls in the bathroom where the water heater is kept in a closet. I would not recommend swicks for anything. Oh yeah they didnt send the same plumber to fix the mistakes... Not professional at all...

We have had several experiences with Swick Home Services - repair, home improvement installation, emergency services, etc. We have always been very pleased with the professionalism, friendliness, competency, and efficiency of every person weve been in contact with. The phone is answered on the first ring with a very pleasant assistant responding and referring us to a scheduler who has all of our information handy. The technician arrives on time and does a complete job, being careful to not disturb the home carpet and things. Clean up is efficient, and the technician always explains what they have done and what we should know about the appliance, etc. The items installed and the workmanship is top quality and the personnel are knowledgeable about their product. We will continue to use Swick for our needs which they handle.

Thanks Swick, and Mike and Austin in particular, for a great experience with helping us in getting our recently purchased 1880s house closer to 21st century amenities. We needed all sorts of repairs for plumbing, ventilation, and electrical as quickly as possible. Marquette is unique in that the season for getting anything done around a house is very short and everybody is crazy busy. Austin managed our, at times panicky, requests with calm and flexibility. Mike carried out all repairs and upgrades in all aspects with complete mastery of each trade and craft. Besides, he is a great person to talk to, about house repairs, and life in general. We are looking forward to many more projects, working with the great people at Swick!

Never fails, wake up on a Saturday morning with no heat! Called Swicks and David Laurich called me back within a few minutes after leaving a message with the answering service. He was on his way back from Munising and would be here within the hour. Arrived 45 minutes later and after reviewing the anticipated costs, David got to work. Two hours later and two trips to the shop for more parts, the heat was back on! Throughout the whole time, David was very professional and conscientious of keeping my house clean. He explained what parts were replaced and why, along with breakdown of the costs. I highly recommend David and Swicks Home Services!

Truly exceptional service! We had a flood several years ago due to poor grading of our homesite and a once-in-500 years rainfall event. Swick coordinated with the builder we contracted to ensure that our home was made livable again in as short a time as possible. Additionally, Swick suggested and installed preventative measures to ensure that, even if the flood happened again, the home would stay safe and dry. Throughout the months-long ordeal, the Swick employees were invariably polite, courteous and compassionate to our situation. They truly went the extra mile; I give them my highest recommendations and regards.

They are the most unorganized incompetent office, paperwork, and follow up company Ive every had the displeasure of Knowing. Ive been running electric space heater for 3 weeks. The glass on the front of my stove broke, when the tech came out to replace it he broke the replacement glass (this is not the issue I understand glass can and does break). He said that they would have to order a new piece for me. I called two weeks after and the office didnt know anything about it. Finally after another week I should be getting my glass along with an astronomical electric bill because they cant follow up

I have to commend Swick Home Services for the service work to their community. Recently I heard about an incident where Swick Home Services helped someone in need in the Marquette area. Swick paid for a rental truck and a group of Swick employees volunteered a Saturday on their own time to move a handicapped women who was moving and had no one to help her with her move. Swick is certainly a good neighbor and the kind of local business that makes one proud to be from the U.P. A big thanks to Swick and its employees for this random act of kindness to someone in dire need of help.

Tom McDonald from Swick Home Services exceeded all expectations - he knows his business and does great work in less time most would take and charge for. Also Amanda at the office was polite and directly managed getting the communication out to Tom and he was at the property in a very short time after my no heat call for a clients rental home in Ishpeming. I highly recommend Swick Home Services! The business is managed well and the employees are professionals in the service they provide. Thank You Tom and Amanda!

The Swick technician that serviced my furnace most recently was very professional but still warm and friendly. John was thorough in explaining what services he completed as well as explaining what services we may want to consider without any pressure to do so. As always, the Swick staff that come to my home are always conscientious about my floors, when entering my home; wearing their little booties. Now if I could just get the rest of my family on board with that!

We were very pleased with our service call today! Jon showed up on time...he went right to work and completed the job in just a little bit over an hour. He was pleasant, courteous, and knew exactly how to resolve our problem. We would not hesitate to call Swick again and recommend them to our friends! Plus, it was nice and sunny outside when Jon pulled up in our driveway and we are sure he brought that nice weather with him to AuTrain and our house.
