As a new customer, I needed a storage unit and only had a 3-day window to get my things moved. So I made all arrangements to move my things over the New Years’ Eve holiday. January 1, 2014 was FREEZING & SNOWING and I was taking my last load to the unit. Around noon I parked near the Controlled Climate Bldg, then hauled out my boxes and go up to the door. I try to enter the code, but it does NOT work. The keypad entry unit seemed to be "dead" or broken. I tried several times to be sure I was entering the correct code to no avail. So, I m standing there FREEZING with my things out in the open, I am pressing the button that says "Call Manager" but nothing was happening. Finally I had to leave my boxes sitting outside near the door and walk up to the office bldg (closed) and ring the doorbell to the apartment/unit where someone apparently lives. A twenty-something blonde woman with her hair pulled back opened the door & poked her head out slightly. I asked her to please help me get into the bldg to my storage unit. I told her that the keypad was not working at all and I could not get in to my storage unit. She was very uncaring and flatly stated that I cannot get into the Controlled Bldg at this time. NOTHING MORE! Thats all she said, and then she started to close the door again as Im standing there freezing. So….of course, I frustratingly said "Then WTF am I paying for?" She just said "EXCUSE YOU!!!" in a very nasty tone, and then slammed the door in my face!! I was upset, yes...but I did not curse at HER, I was upset about the situation and wasnt getting any explanation as to why I am out here with my boxes in the freezing snow and locked out. It doesnt matter if I was understandably upset or not, her customer service skills were seriously lacking. And under the circumstances, she should have taken the time to be more apologetic and explain to me what was going on? If the locks or keypad are broken, then why not put a SIGN out in front of the door so customers dont get everything unloaded and then stand there in the freezing snow? No, there was no indication anything was wrong other than the door suddenly no longer works. BUT THEN ANOTHER INCIDENT.... Then I am not able to return again until January 9th, 2014. There was a snow storm here on January 5th & 6th. But after a whole THREE DAYS later, I am barely able to make it inside the gate through the thick snow in the whole parking lot area. It was obvious that they made no attempt to shovel the driveway or lot whatsoever. Then when I finished and tried to leave, I got STUCK in the snow by the keypad to open the gate and leave again. I was stuck for a full 15 minutes, and spinning my tires trying to get out of there. Doesn’t anybody at this location bother to have the snow cleared out for their customers? The alley behind my house is more accessible than the Public Storage business was. I regret my decision to do business with this place...or maybe its just this location - I dont know. But I really need to speak with someone higher up at headquarters. At least one member of the staff is very rude, and this location appears to be very lazy when it comes to keeping the business accessible for their customers.

I had only been in the state of Michigan for about a year at the time and i lived in Farmington Hills and did not know much about the east side of town. I had just recently purchased a home in Clinton Township and i was in a crunch to find a storage location near where i was moving to. I called several storage facilities and i wasnt very impressed with the customer service from the people that i had been speaking with. So i just decided to drive around the area and look for a facility instead of calling. I stopped in Public Storage in Mt. Clemens and i met Michelle and she was very,very helpful. She took the time answer all my questions, She made me feel very comfortable with the area, me not being from Michigan. My entire experience from beginning to end was Great!!!!. So thank you Michelle for your awesome customer service.

This storage facility is the absolute best place. I have had stuff stored there on and off for the last 9 years. The staff is awesome, especially Robbin, who was wonderful in contacting me regarding a problem with a family member leaving lots of stuff behind ( the unit was rented in my name). The mess left behind (food left in freezer, furniture, etc.) was disgusting and the smell was so gross, it would have gotten worse. Because Robbin took the time to contact me on a Sunday I was able to get the unit cleaned out and not be charged for another whole month --Thank You Robbin "Your The Best". What an awesome lady give that women a raise!!!!!

I needed a storage for the winter. I meet Robbin & Michelle they were so energetic and full of knowledge more than willing to assist me. I was able to compare prices from other storage facilities and would be more than happy to give my business to Public Storage. I would promote this location and make sure Robbin and Michelle take care of my family and friends its a pleasure to meet individuals that care about their customers by putting them first. Well I needed a storage space so I went online and reserved a space. 10 x 20 I thought would work for me, but 2 days after I rented this space I realized it was too small. I need a bigger space so I go in to talk to someone about a 10 x 30. They want a hundred more a month for 100 Sq ft larger because Im no longer an Internet customer, Im existing (not as important I guess), so I go online and find another public storage with the size space I need but since I am already an unhappy customer after a few days I have to pay full price. It would be nice if a real manager would talk to me

I have used a storage facility, and I could not be happier with the service Michelle and Nichole provided. They were very helpful and friendly, answered all my questions and explained everything in detail. As a Realtor, I will definently refer Public Storage to all my clients and realtor associates who need a storage rental. The facility was very clean and access area was cleared of snow for safety. Thanks again for a job well done and providing a professional staff

I think Rachel had exceptional service she was very helpful friendly and knowledgeable and everything that I needed to know about my storage unit and I will always store my belongings at Public Storage. Now that Im dealing with Alena here at the same location in Mount Clemens I am receiving the same friendly knowledgeable exceptional service that Ive always received and its always service with a smile.
